OU Warstory - Appliances and dragons

Hi guys! I never posted here.. I've done my best, so I hope that you will enjoy my work.
I'm not a champion, but I like this battle so I decided to write a warstory. That's my first one. Unfortunately, I didn't ask to my opponent the permission to do it, ‘cause I didn’t see him online again after the battle; so I censored his name, and he will be called simply ‘Opponent’. But don't waste time with further words... Let's begin! =)

Here's my fantastic and invincible team (lol, I don't think so):

(yeah, I know, Heatran's image is quite ugly ;_;)

Point's moves will look like this.
My opponent's moves will look like this.
Other text will look like this.

Sandstorm's damages will be omitted.
Leftovers recovery will be omitted. (Latias, Heatran and Empoleon are holding them; Flygon and Scizor have Life Orb, and Infernape is holding Focus Sash)
I'll show you the score after each KO.

Rules:
- Ladder Match;
- Sleep Clause;
- Freeze Clause;
- OHKO Clause;
- Evasion Clause;
- Species Clause;
- Strict Damage Clause;
- Soul Dew Clause.

point sent out Infernape (lvl 100 Infernape ?).
Opponent sent out Hippowdon (lvl 100 Hippowdon ?).
Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!

Infernape: 100% of its health
Hippowdon: 100% of its health

Fortunately, Hippowdon and its trait are not a great problem for my team: only Infernape and Latias are buffetted by the sandstorm and Latias can take Ice Fang with safety. But now my Focus Sash is useless... Anyway, I decided to set up Stealth Rock, since I'm sure he will not use Earthquake.

Infernape used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!
Hippowdon used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!

Infernape: 94% of its health
Hippowdon: 100% of its health

As I expected... Now that I used Stealth Rock he knows that my Infernape is a LEADAPE. But generally, LeadApes haven't Grass Knot: Hippowdon can resist to any move I decide to use, so now he will probably use his STAB Move to kill me or to do a couple of damages to the poke that I will send in. I chose to switch in...

point switched in Flygon (lvl 100 Flygon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Flygon.
Flygon lost 6% of its health.
Hippowdon used Slack Off.

Hippowdon: 100% of its health
Flygon: 94% of its health

Oh. He probably wanted to see what move I would have use. I can't risk to take an Ice Fang, but he'll certainly not use Earthquake (again). It's penguin's time!

point switched in Empoleon (lvl 100 Empoleon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Empoleon.
Empoleon lost 6% of its health.
Hippowdon used Slack Off.

Hippowdon: 100% of its health
Empoleon: 100% of its health

Slack Off again, even better than Ice Fang. Maybe he predicted Outrage or Draco Meteor. I decided to use Surf, without assuming any risk.

Opponent switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Pointed stones dug into Blissey.
Blissey lost 12% of its health.
Empoleon used Surf.
Blissey lost 15% of its health.

Empoleon: 100% of its health
Blissey: 73% of its health

Noes, I hate this pink and obese nurse >_< What can Blissey do to Empoleon? Thunder Wave? Thunderbolt? Seismic Toss? In any case, Flygon is a good switch-in, it can overhang Blissey with STAB Life Orb Earthquake.

point switched in Flygon (lvl 100 Flygon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Flygon.
Flygon lost 6% of its health.
Blissey used Toxic.
Flygon was badly poisoned!

Flygon is hurt by poison!
Flygon lost 6% of its health.

Blissey: 73% of its health
Flygon: 82% of its health (Psn)

Fucking nurse. Stupid fucking nurse! this was a good prediction, unfortunately. Toxic can be quite troublesome, especially if coupled with Flamethrower (for Scizor). I decided to send Heatran and possibly explode to kill this pink ball. :D

point switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.
Blissey used Softboiled.
Blissey restored 27% of its health.

Heatran: 94% of its health
Blissey: 100% of its health

...But here I changed my idea. Heatran is an important member of this team: its Taunt is really helpful in every situation, like now. I want to kill Blissey without exploding. To do that I need to prevent its recovery and Toxic.

Heatran used Taunt.
Blissey fell for the taunt!

Blissey used Seismic Toss.
Heatran lost 31% of its health.

Blissey: 100% of its health
Heatran: 69% of its health

Heatran can't beat Seismic Toss Blissey with Flamethrower, even if the nurse can't use Softboiled. I decided to switch in Latias, which can Calm Mind and restore Seismic Toss's damages with Recover (hoping my opponent hasn't Scizor).

point switched in Latias (lvl 100 Latias ?).
Pointed stones dug into Latias.
Latias lost 12% of its health.
Blissey used Seismic Toss.
Latias lost 30% of its health.

Blissey: 100% of its health
Latias: 58% of its health

I can Recover later. Now I need to Boost my Special Attack with Calm Mind, and attack. Do your work, Latias.

Opponent switched in Hippowdon (lvl 100 Hippowdon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Hippowdon.
Hippowdon lost 6% of its health.
Latias used Calm Mind.
Latias's special attack was raised.
Latias's special defence was raised.

Hippowdon: 100% of its health
Latias: 58% of its health

Wtf? Hippowdon? Maybe he has no couters for Latias, and he wants to Roar. In this case, Hippowdon will be unusable after a Calm Mind'd Surf.

Latias used Surf.
It's super effective!

Hippowdon lost 95% of its health.
Hippowdon used Roar.

point switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.

Hippowdon: 12% of its health
Heatran: 63% of its health

Nothing to say: bye bye, Happy Hippo.

Heatran used Flamethrower.
Hippowdon lost 12% of its health.

fubu's Hippowdon fainted.
Opponent switched in Starmie (lvl 100 Starmie).
Pointed stones dug into Starmie.
Starmie lost 12% of its health.

Hippowdon: fainted
Heatran: 69% of its health

Starmie: 88% of its health

POINT 6 - 5 OPPONENT

Finally, the first kill of the match. Now, Starmie. I hope it isn't full attacker with recover... in that case I don't know how to stop it. Surf - Ice Beam - Recover - Rapid Spin is stopped by Empoleon, which has Grass Knot. Surf - Thunderbolt - Recover - Rapid Spin by Latias. But in this metagame Ice Beam is needed, I think, with all these dragons. But at the same time Rapid Spin is useless, with rotom, so it's probably full attacker... AAAAAAAA, what should I do?!

point switched in Empoleon (lvl 100 Empoleon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Empoleon.
Empoleon lost 6% of its health.
Starmie used Rapid Spin.
Starmie blew away the pointed stones!
It's not very effective...
Empoleon lost 2% of its health.

Empoleon: 98% of its health
Starmie: 88% of its health

...this. Lol. Ok, Rapin Spin Starmie. Ice Beam or Thunderbolt?

Starmie used Thunderbolt.
It's super effective!

Empoleon lost 48% of its health.
Empoleon used Grass Knot.
It's super effective!
Starmie lost 61% of its health.

Empoleon: 56% of its health
Starmie: 27% of its health

Thunderbolt. But Starmie can't kill me with only another hit... I have to predict seriously. Blissey completely stops Empoleon; so I decided to predict its switch-in with a sweeper that my opponent hasn't seen.

point switched in Scizor (lvl 100 Scizor ?).
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.
Opponent switched in Rotom-w (lvl 100 Rotom-w).

Scizor: 88% of its health
Rotom-w: 100%

Omg, a washing machine! I don't think he wants to WoW, he knows I have Heatran. Maybe he will just predict heatran's switch and use Hydro Pump, so Latias is my best choice. (Rotom-w is that with Hydro Pump, am I right?!)

Scizor used U-turn.
It's not very effective...
Rotom-w lost 22% of its health.
point switched in Latias (lvl 100 Latias ?).

Pointed stones dug into Latias.
Latias lost 12% of its health.
Scizor lost 10% of its health.
Rotom-w used Will-o-wisp.
Rotom-w's attack missed!

Scizor: 78% of its health

Rotom-w: 78% of its health
Latias: 46% of its health

This Rotom is troublesome. I've been a little lucky: my Latias wouldn't like to be burned and lose 12% after each turn. I absolutely need to kill rotom, cause it stops all my sweepers. I have to hurt hiiiim!

Opponent switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Latias used Dragon Pulse.
Blissey lost 12% of its health.

Latias: 46% of its health
Blissey: 88% of its health

Huh. Maybe he knew that ^^' Latias is fastidious for his team: he'll try to Toxic it, so what's the best switch-in?

point switched in Scizor (lvl 100 Scizor ?).
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.
Blissey used Toxic.
It doesn't affect Scizor...

Blissey: 88% of its health
Scizor: 66% of its health

Perfect. Obviously he'll switch so it's my chance to do some damages to Rotom and have a free switch-in for one of my sweepers... My poisoned Flygon!

Opponent switched in Rotom-w (lvl 100 Rotom-w).
Scizor used U-turn.
It's not very effective...
Rotom-w lost 22% of its health.
point switched in Flygon (lvl 100 Flygon ?).

Pointed stones dug into Flygon.
Flygon lost 6% of its health.
Scizor lost 10% of its health.
Flygon is hurt by poison!
Flygon lost 6% of its health.

Scizor: 56% of his health

Rotom-w: 56% of his health
Flygon: 70% of his health (Psn)

56%... I hope that Draco Meteor can kill it T_T Please, God, let me kill this fucking washing machine, i will be at your service for the rest of my life, i will do sacrifices for you, i will venerate you! T_T

Flygon used Draco Meteor.
Flygon's attack missed!

Rotom-w used Rest.
Rotom-w fell asleep!
Rotom-w restored 44% of its health.

Flygon is hurt by poison!
Flygon lost 12% of its health.

Flygon: 58% of its health (Psn)
Rotom-w: 100% of its health

Hey God didn't you hear me? hey? heeeey?! Ok, be serious T_T This is a great chance for recover the damages that Poison, Stealth and Life Orb did.

Opponent switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Flygon used Roost.
Flygon restored 42% of its health.

Flygon is hurt by poison!
Flygon lost 18% of its health.

Blissey: 88% of its health
Flygon: 82% of his health (Psn)

Flygon, be an hero. Sacrifice yourself for your team. You MUST kill the nurse. Oh God please give me a critical hit!

Flygon used Earthquake.
Blissey lost 62% of its health.

Flygon lost 10% of its health.
Blissey used Seismic Toss.
Flygon lost 32% of its health.

Flygon is hurt by poison!
Flygon lost 25% of its health.

Blissey: 26% of its health
Flygon: 15% of its health (Psn)

Well done, sweet Flygon <3 even if you didn't kill Blissey, you did a lot of damages! Now it's my turn. He will switch in something that resists Earthquake. Sleeping Rotom? Or a random Flying? I can use Fire Blast or Draco Meteor, but this way will kill my Flygon and I don't wanna lose it. Heatran seems a good choice, since Rotom can't do anything to it. Besides it can explode if needed.

point switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.
Opponent switched in in Skarmory (lvl 100 Skarmory ?).

Heatran: 63% of its health
Skarmory: 100% of its health

Yeah! The best switch I could do. Do you want to be toasted, Skarmory?

Opponent switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Heatran used Flamethrower.
Blissey lost 18% of its health.

Blissey: 8% of its health
Heatran: 69% of its health

Heatran used Flamethrower.
Blissey lost 8% of its health.

Opponent's Blissey fainted.

Blissey: fainted
Heatran: 75% of its health

POINT 6 - 4 OPPONENT

Ohoh, and the fat nurse is dead too. There's a little opening in the defense: without Blissey, Latias can sweep easily, even if burned by Rotom's Will-o-Wisp.

Opponent switched in Starmie (lvl 100 Starmie).
point switched in Empoleon (lvl 100 Empoleon ?).
Pointed stones dug into Empoleon.
Empoleon lost 6% of its health.
Starmie used Recover.
Starmie restored 50% of its health.

Starmie: 77% of its health
Empoleon: 56% of its health

I don't wanted to switch in Latias cause I didn't see the water move: I was scared by a possible BoltBeam. Ok, now the only thing I have to do is to break down this star, even if it means to sacrifice Empoleon's HP.

Starmie used Thunderbolt.
It's super effective!
Empoleon lost 46% of its health.

Empoleon used Grass Knot.
It's super effective!
Starmie lost 61% of its health.

Starmie: 16% of its health
Empoleon: 16% of its health

Omg penguin I’ll save you don’t be scared <3

point switched in Latias (lvl 100 Latias ?).
Pointed stones dug into Latias.
Latias lost 12% of its health.
Starmie used Thunderbolt.
It's not very effective...
Latias lost 9% of its health.

Latias: 25% of its health
Starmie: 16% of its health

Mmm. I don't wanna risk Ice Beam; if he decides to switch, or if he decides to attack, Scizor can come easily in the play.

point switched in Scizor (lvl 100 Scizor ?).
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.
Opponent switched in Rotom-w (lvl 100 Rotom-w).

Scizor: 44% of its health
Rotom: 100% of its health

Mh, Scizor can do anything to Rotom so I can only U-Turn to switch in Heatran, hoping that Sleep Talk takes Will o Wisp. In case it takes Thunderbolt I would be in a not-so-beautiful situation..

Scizor used U-turn.
It's not very effective...
Rotom-w lost 21% of its health.

point switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.

Heatran lost 37% of its health.

Scizor: 34% of its health

Heatran: 31% of its health
Rotom-w: 79% of its health

I can’t permit to be killed by another Thunderbolt. I’ll Taunt its Sleep Talk and then attack with Flamethrower, it seems the safest choice.

Opponent switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Heatran's attack!
Heatran used Taunt.
Gyarados fell for the taunt!

Gyarados: 100% of its health and ready to sweep
Heatran: 37% of its health

Wtf. I didn’t ever see a Gyarados in this battle… it should be an error! My Gyarados’ counters are all weakened! It’s not possibleeee!! Go Heatran, destroy this bad and giant snake!

Heatran used Explosion.

DIE DAMNED WATER’S DRAGON!!!

POINT 5 - 4 OPPONENT

Heatran: fainted (exploded on a washing machine. How the hell can it survive to an explosion?! Appliances normally BURST after an explosion!)
Rotom-w: 79% of its health

This has been a great prediction. Shit >;( Okay, if Latias doesn’t recover itself I’ll certainly lose. My opponent has a Gyarados ready for destroying me. Plz don’t get WoW with Sleep Talk.

Oh yes. OOOOh yes. Point 5 – 2 Opponent. Gg man, even if I hate the following act:

Opponent has left the room.
point wins!

And now, here's the parade of horrible and fat beasts that I had to defeat:

Props:
- Flygon for being the hero of the match <3
- Heatran for killing two pokemons
- Empoleon for being a steel pinguin
- Latias, for doing the final sweep
- My opponent for doing a nice game
- You, for reading this warstory written with the worst english ever (oh, about it, forgive me.. i'm not english or american :()
- Me for being a girl and playing pokemon!
- Homer for supporting me in a critical moment. D'OH!

Slops:
- Rotom-w cause it sucks
- Gyarados for being so GAY.
- Starmie for spinning my stealth rocks! :(
- Blissey for being an useless nurse
- Heatran's Taunt cause in this battle it sucked
- Skarmory for being toasted lol

Wow, I didn't realize you were playing a stall team until I saw the actual team. I would say that's a pretty good indication that you had enough momentum to keep him from playing properly.

Wow, I didn't realize you were playing a stall team until I saw the actual team. I would say that's a pretty good indication that you had enough momentum to keep him from playing properly.
This. I had no idea it was a stall team, great job breaking down stall. Sucks that your opponent left, but I loved this warstory. :D

A great first post. To be honest, though, it was disappointing when the opponent switched out with Blissey. He should have STossed until the Taunt wore off, after which he could Softboil off the damage. I also thought you were a bit too colloquial in your writing, but that might be just me, and I respect that English isn't your first language.

I like your use of LO-Gon, who is often dismissed as an inferior set.

This was a good battle with lots of key moments of prediction. The comments were mostly good, but were sparse in spots, and, as the previous posters had said, it wasn't at all like most matches between offense and stall. Good warstory.

very nice warstory, and welcome to smogon.

@marzbar freeze clause states that not more than one pokemon on a team can be frozen at any one time, like sleep clause, I believe it comes from pokemkon stadium, its standard on ladder matches

Yes but how can you police that clause? If a pokemon is frozen, you are suddenly banned from using ANY Ice-type move?

just a nitpick: keep your pokemon placement consistent. on the first turn *your* leadape was on top, but in many other places your pokemon was on the bottom, it got confusing sometimes
POINT 6 - 5 OPPONENT

Finally, the first kill of the match...

POINT 6 - 4 OPPONENT
pretty sure it was his stuff dying, which means you were in the lead...

also disappointing how he left =/ CM latias is actually amazing even when paralyzed, given your opponent does not have a scizor or tyranitar, you got pretty haxed in skarm vs latias though that was ouch

looking at your team i would imagine it had a pretty hard time against stall, but great job keeping the pressure, a few misses here and there but thats fine

by the way, pursuit does big damage to rotom, at least 44% (you do have pursuit right? o.o)

overall pretty good read, 7/10

Actually, despite what other posters have said, I enjoyed your colloquial style of writing. It was an interesting break from the Smogon-esque writing used by many of the best battlers.

And yes, while I noticed the Hippowdon lead and thought "it's stall team" subconsciously, I never really consciously noticed that you were facing stall. Well, at least until Skarm started laying spikes.

It almost seems as if you dominated your opponent (destroying his/her playstyle), yet it somehow remained pretty interesting, unlike most battles in which said domination occurs in. And, also unlike such battles, your opponent wasn't an extremely poor player or haxxed to death.

I also liked the Props & Slops section. It was quite humorous.

Ahhh another great first warstory from a first post, the battle was overall decent,The commetary was great,And the Props and slops section deserves a mention too,it was hilarious.

7.9/10:I expect to see more warstories from you.

(Also damn this is my 200th post <.<)

Welcome to Smogon. I enjoyed reading this battle it felt like it could be a little more in-depth, but you wrote in a good format.

Life Orb Flygon is something you don't see enough of.

Thanks for the welcomes, and wow i didn't expect this success

@ vbmenu_register("postmenu_2219470", true); boredomisbliss: no, my scizor hasn't pursuit, it learns bullet punch, superpower, u-turn and roost

oh and of course i'll write other warstories, i like doing them

that is actually quite a good warstory, unlike what I expected, I had no idea that it was a stall team, you did a great job. 4/5
Me for being a girl and playing pokemon
Good to see more girls on smogon:)

Also, heatran needs some GOOD art, I haven't seen any.
