Team Juggernaut: A Retired Team at its Finest

lol, third time's a charm eh? Anyways, just at a glance, your team looks ridiculously stall weak, with no Pokemon to threaten stall teams at all. I'm not surprised that you say you did very well with this team, though, considering you mainly used it on WiFi where stall is practically nonexistent. Have you tried replacing Tyranitar with an Expert Belt mix variant? Not only would that help versus stall teams, but it will make sure you're not locked onto something like Pursuit, allowing Salamence to set up on you.

you speak the truth. i have NEVER face stall before during my dominion in wifi, and might not ever.

i may take your suggestion, but i am not sure what the EV's and such you are suggesting. :?

I would recommend the standard Expert Belt set posted here over the set you just posted. However, any other move can replace Pursuit on the set if you are looking for the coverage. You lose guaranteed kills on things like Latias, but it's your choice in the end. However, if you want to go with a Dragon Dance set instead, do not use two special attacks. DD TTar can usually put a dent in stall teams as well if played right, so if you're more comfortable w/ that, then go for it.

since i am un-sandboxed, i can finally go back to updating my thread freely... and because this thread got booted off within several hours. lol. please rate.

There is no advantage to running Brick Break on Scizor other than breaking the odd screen. Please run Superpower instead it allows you to be so much more threatening especially in the midgame actually abling you to smack Heatran and other Steels around furthermore it also allows you to beat Skarmory and therefore definitely helps against stall. With this and Tyranitar stall should crumble.

oh. i forgot to update it. i have bug bite on it now to deal with bulky waters... *SWAMPERT

i actually disagree with you. Superpower's power is nice but you lose attack and defense. He is also running a bulky scizor in which the defense is more important in setting up. Its mostly personal preference but i see brick break as a better option on bulky sd scizor because you are setting up. On band superpower because it is mostly revengeing and scouting.

actually, superpower is only really effective against heatran and magnezone... and both outspeed me anyways.

The two main things brick break is hitting are Heatran and Magnezone, and those two outspeed me anyway. Plus, Bug Bite has a hell of a lot of power, helpful for breaking bulky waters who otherwise wall scizor (Swampert in particular).

but i AM thinking about x-scissor over bug bite...

Actually not really. Brick Break still hits bulky waters and with your bug move you cant hit skarmory which at least takes damage from brick break or SP whichever one you use. Brick break will help your supposed weak to stall. Bug just doesnt get good enough coverage.

Isn't Bug Bite better than X-Scissor? Bug Bite gets STAB and Technician, effectively giving it 135 BP vs 120 for X-Scissor.

Either way, I think that U-Turn or Superpower are superior options. U-Turn early game lets you scout Scizor's counters and is a decent attack when Scizor is your last Pokemon. Superpower may lower your ATK and DEF, but its power boost over Brick Break is very noticeable, especially on bulky waters. If you have troubles with Dual Screens, Brick Break also works.

I think Superpower is really the preferred option on Bulky Scizor. While you will experience a stat drop, like Bribes said, you will need the power boost on bulky waters. Also, if you don't have time to get off a Swords Dance, Superpower is still quite powerful and will still OHKO Magnezone and Heatran on the switch.

Also I think you should try out Energy Ball or Grass Knot over Leaf Storm on Celebi. Grass Knot will help you out against things that need to be taken down with two or more hits. Leaf Storm is kind of a one-and-done move, and its accuracy is unreliable. Grass Knot or Energy Ball still provide the grass attack that will take down Swampert easily.

i actually have had trouble with swampert, so thats good. and seeing that my team is hella weak to Crocune....

grass knot deals 100 Base Power to Suicune, thats good. its better than Leaf Storm's SpA drop and low accuracy...

i think i might consider it, but sometimes i like celebi dropping in and out to abuse rest... oh wait... i dropped it out for recover. lol.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

ABILITY: Sand Veil
NATURE: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EV'S: 204 HP/88 Atk/216 Spd
~ Taunt
~ Stealth Rocks
~ Roost
~ Earthquake

Gliscor is such a great lead. It's so reliable. I used to use Swampert here, but I figured I needed a Taunt user after Rhys started explaining just how deadly things like Stockpile Hippowdon can be. While it cannot function as much as an "anti-lead" like my Swampert did, it almost always gets SR up. Only against Aerodactyl do I not do it, due to the annoying as hell speedy Taunt. Azelf tends to run Fire Blast over Taunt now, due to the abundance on Metagross leads.

While also functioning as a great lead, Gliscor can also be of use to me mid-late game. Taunt is just so handy. He is also my SD Luke counter, and he can also stop Scizor dead in his tracks. While he may not have a rock resist, he is my Tyranitar counter.

Earthquake allows me to 2HKO Tyranitar, and with those EVs, ALWAYS 2HKO Metagross. ALWAYS. And Luke doesn't stand a chance, being OHKOd easily. U-turn over Roost so I'm not dead meat against Azelf and Aerodactyl, but I'm considering changing for Roost. Suggestions on that please. Taunt prevents slower leads from setting up their rocks, and time after time, they fall for it. Stealth Rock is pretty self-explanatory, and supports my Scizor, allowing him to get KOs easier. EVs give a nice bit of bulk, still outrun Roserade leads, and Lucario, while allowing me to always 2HKO Metagross.

You do know gliscor can die with ease from a proper ev trained gyarados i prefer for you to change your gliscor into maybe a lucario which has less weaknesses and is more of a sweeper

Lucario
200 attack
52 speed
200 defence
52 special dfeence
6 special attack
Leftovers\the item that does 50% more damage if attack was super effective ( sorry forgot its name )

Close Combat
Swords Dance
Dragon Pulse
Blaze Kick

Swords dance Increases Attack ( more chance of KO) Dragon pulse takes garchomp,Salamence,Dragonite. Blaze Kick If used with swords dance can take out metagross and bronzong combined with the item that does 50% more damage if attack was super effective and your close combat can take tyranitar.

I love Swords Dance Scizor. I've always used Bug-Bite (well not always, I used to use x-scissor before it became obsolete) instead of brick break and it's worked well for me. Bug bite might not provide the best coverage, but the sheer power makes up for that. IMO it's better than brick break.
