Smogon Superstars I
Round 1 results Quarterfinal results Rules:
This round will be best 2 out of 3, consisting of UU, OU, and Uber matches. Players may select the order of the tiers played, but if a player wins their quarterfinal bout in 2 matches, they must report to me the tiers played. The semi-final is identical, and the finale is best 3 of 5, with 2 additional OU matches. Other Information: Be sure to inform a tournament match recorder, i.e. locopoke, before your match is played. Also make sure to send reachzero your teams for commentary purposes. Match-ups: Zak91 vs. Ashley Jibaku vs. Panamaxis The deadline for the Semi-finals is February 20th.

I'd place my bet on Panamaxis. He seems the strongest one out of a very good pool anyway (which should hint to how difficult it is to predict at this stage).

Won OU, lost Ubers and UU. It's pretty ironic that it came down to UU which is both of our worst metagames (by far imo..), and that every match pretty much had one ridiculously important move which created the outcome alone.
OU was close until a prediction meant I could sweep pretty handily. Ubers I got 6-0ed, I was literally outplayed at every move and just wasn't "in the zone" or anywhere close to it. UU I won't spoil for anybody, partially because I don't want to reveal teams and partially because it's so hilariously ironic. ggs, go win it for UK! |
