I need some proofreading as English is only my second language. That being said, don’t insult me, I know I suck. Just gently find mistakes and I’ll correct them.
This is my first analysis.
Shaymin is a really interesting and underestimated pokemon. Often compared to Celebi in terms of both defensive and offensive manners, Shaymin has an hard time finding a niche for itself.

[SET COMMENTS]

This set explores what differentiate Shaymin from its onion-like rival Celebi, Seed Flare and Quick Attack. The former is a powerful attack that can severely dent most pokemon that don't resist it and also weak Pokemon that resist it.

Shaymin’s small yet effective movepool makes it a premium anti-lead in today’s metagame. Seed Flare packs absurd power and let Shaymin OHKO bulky Ground- and Water-types such as Swampert, Hippowdon, and Donphan among others. It also puts suicide leads like Azelf and Aerodactyl in the KO range of Quick Attack. Earth Power takes out Steel-types like Metagross and Jirachi as well as fire types, although it is not recommanded to stay on those as they will more often than not OHKO Shaymin with a Fire-type attack. The two most common Fire-Type leads are Infernape and Heatran. The former outspeeds Shaymin and can OHKO with Flamethrower or Fire Blast, and the latter is almost always carrying a scarf to outspeed and OHKO or will carry a Shuca Berry to survive Earth Power and KO in return. Hidden Power Ice takes down lead Dragonite, non-Yache Berry Gliscor and Breloom.

[ADDITIONNAL COMMENTS]

Shaymin has a lot of trouble dealing with Fire-type leads such as Infernape and Heatran, so packing a bulky Water-type with it is a good idea. Taunt Gyarados also works well with Shaymin, being able to handle almost every set Infernape can have and also decimate Shaymin’s worst enemy, Blissey. Latias works well with Shaymin, as it is able to switch into Fire Blast, Earth Power and Close Combat from Infernape and Heatran and retaliate with a powerful Surf. Being a lead, Shaymin doesn’t absolutely need support, but having something to take care of the aformentionned threats, as well as Abomasnow, Moltres and Yanmega is a good idea. Heatran can easily come in a Fire, Flying, Bug or Ice attacks directed at Shaymin and eliminate the threat. The aforementioned bulky waters can deal with Moltres.
