So yeah, I had a brain-wave one day and decided to use this.

[SET]
name: Bulky SD
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Aerial Ace / Bug Bite
move 3: Brick Break
move 4: Roost
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
ability: Technician
nature: Jolly
evs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe

Why this set deserves to be on-site:
- Scyther is actually pretty bulky (Well bulky enough), this set takes a slower approach to build up multiple SDs while Roosting off damage
- Is not AS affected by SR like normal Scyther, since you can Roost off the damage
- 0 SpA Milotic's Ice Beam does 48.40% - 57.14%, so you can pretty SD up, Roost, SD, Roost and laugh.
- Aerial Ace and Brick Break gives excellent coverage
- Still reaches 516 Attack after a boost.

Additional Comments:
- If you don't care about Scyther speed-tying with Mismagius/Manectric/other Scyther, 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 Spe can be used if you just want to outspeed base 95s.
- Bug Bite can be used if you want to hit Slowbro and pixies, but AA offers better coverage overall.

Teammates and Counters:
- Pursuit to get rid of Rotom is nice. Drapion/Skuntank/Spiritomb does this nicely
- RAPID SPIN SUPPORT - Donphan and Hitmontop are the best to go with Scyther, since they can switch into Rock-type attacks
- Rotom - Resists both attacks and does a truckload with Thunderbolt
- Dugtrio can weaken Registeel and Steelix a bit to get into Brick Break KO range.
- Tangrowth/Milotic/Weezing are good against Rhyperior and Regirock.
- Rhyperior/Regirock/Steelix/Registeel and other bulky physical walls not named Tangrowth who doesn't give a crap about Scyther.

I'm quite sure the EV spread can be slightly better, so it would be nice if people suggest a better one, thank you!!

I'm not really sure about this. There aren't many situations in which I can think Scyther would benefit from a bulkier spread. Some of Scyther's most common counters, Registeel, Steelix, Omastar, Rotom and so on just OHKO, Roar or cripple it anyways. Not only that, but regarding what you said about Milotic, Max Attack Scyther with Leftovers can stall it out just like the Bulky one I guess, and Haze is still messing this set up. I'll try this set with the two different spreads and then give more founded opinions on this.

I used a set that was similar to this, but with Baton Pass over Brick Break.

There are many, many Pokemon that scyther cannot handle. Your +2 Brick Break is doing next to nothing to Rhyperior, Omastar, Regirock, Steelix, Registeel, etc etc. You also get screwed up by generic physical walls that run Will-O-Wisp or Thunder Wave. The lack of power in this set doesn't help, and the extra bulk really doesn't mean much since anything that aims to beating Scyther will either be using strong STAB Fire or Rock hits or will be statusing it.

Baton Pass solves all of these issues. This Scyther is fast enough and bulky enough to pull off a pass easily, and passing a +2 to your Rhyperior against a Registeel is one of the more fun things you can do in this game.

If you decide not to include Baton Pass, I don't see this being viable enough over standard SD to get a slot.

Will test this, but yea, I don't think this has the power to actually sweep walls, it doesn't have Taunt like other bulk Stat-up users.

I'm with Flare in that Scyther needs Baton Pass on this set. Even then, Steelix and other phazers still have fun with you. As does Haze Milotic.

Will test soon.

Let's clean the backlog weeeeee

Anyways, I've tested this set a bit and really couldn't find many advantages. As said in my post of three months ago, the same stuff still shut you down (Steelix, Perior, the Regis, Rotom, etc etc). You might be able to avoid some revenge kills from things like Alakazam and Mismagius when you're in very good health, but you really don't sweep much as well, and Scyther's ability to squeeze in a SD and just outright sweep is taken away, and things like Moltres and Arcanine can much more easily take a hit and KO you back. For those reasons I have to say:

QC REJECTED 1/2

yeah sorry gonna have to reject this too. you lose out on a ton of KO's and odds are you'll still be trying to set up on the same stuff you would with normal sd. not to mention its actually a lot easier to wall.

qc rejected 2/2
