Arena: Torch Ruins

A relatively large chamber deep in the Ruins of Alph, Torch Ruins are a chamber to test one's faith. In the room, there are five pillars of dry, splintery wood that are connected together by old rope; also dry. The is a small depression in the center the room filled with damp rock. the floor of the chamber is lined with rope that intertwines together- connecting the whole arena except the depression. The ceiling is lined with carvings with some Unown on the top, sleeping. There are no visible entrances/exits now that the contestants ate in the room.
To my understanding, the arena should look like this (Albinoloon please tell me if you want to change this map before this match starts):

The 5 red dots represents the pillars, and that blue circle in the middle is the depression.

Albinoloon shall select a Pokemon, and Energy Storm shall then select a Pokemon and issue commands.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Yeah, it looks a lot like that, but there are ropes all over the arena.
Vayn, (litwick with flame body) time to shine!

Hm, we'll start out with Amperon the Joltik with Compoundeyes.

Amperon, let's use the ropes to our advantage. Drop down from them and land right next to Vayn, and Thunder Wave to paralyze it. Then retreat high into the ropes and shoot Electra Net everywhere, to tangle the entire field in electrified webs, making it almost impossible for Vayn to get you without getting tangled. Now climb into your web and stay away from the ropes. Finally, finish off with a powerful Thunderbolt. If Vayn uses any Fire type attack, Disable it instead.

Thunder Wave > Electra Net > Thunderbolt

If Vayn uses a Fire type attack, replace that move with Disable.

Stay away from the ropes at all costs.

What a waste. We didn't plan on moving at all.
Vayn, as the spider drops down, hit it with a flame burst, and watch the remnants from that set the place ablaze. While it tries to disable your move, launch a confuse ray into its face. As it's dazed, and the course is burning, hit it with a strong, merciless flamethrower.

Alright, time for me to earn free tokens!

Albinoloon, our challenger, starts off with Vayn the Litwick! Let's take a closer look at this haunted candle:

Litwick [Vayn] (F)
Modest nature

Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, 50% reduction in freeze chance, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Solarbeam has Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Not to be outdone, Energy Storm sends out Amperon the Joltik. This is pretty odd. Why would Energy Storm send out a Pokemon that is weak to fire attacks? Does it have something to do with Joltik's spider-senses and the gazillion ropes around this arena?

Alrighty, then, let's start! Amperon is much faster than Vayn, and quickly scurries into the ropes at the top of the room. Before Vayn can even react, the speedy mite drops behind her and releases a Thunder Wave, paralyzing Vayn. Now, let me tell you a little story. Vayn hates spiders. A lot. In fact, they somehow were responsible for her death. So what does she do when Amperon shocks her? Scream the most awful, loudest, banshee-sounding screech you have ever heard in your life. In her fear, Vayn explodes in a Burst of Flame (7/6), setting Amperon on fire for about 5 seconds. Because of the close proximity, the attack was a critical hit! Flame Burst also ignited all of the ropes on the ceiling, forcing Amperon to stay on the ground.

Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Fire attacks really cripple bugs like Amperon, so to avoid more fires, he Disables the attack. Vayn anticipates this, though, and the flame on her head turns purple. Suddenly, the purple flame transforms into a Confuse Ray, and explodes in the Joltik's face, confusing him and making him hit himself. Vayn attempts to hit the mite with a powerful Flamethrower, but the paralysis makes her recoil in pain. Amperon breathes a sigh of relief, and despite the confusion, manages to Disable Flamethrower.

Amperon: Thunder Wave on Vayn. Costs 7 energy. Inflicts a 20% paralysis rate.
Vayn: Flame Burst on Amperon. Critical hit! Deals 24 damage. Costs 5 energy. Sets the top layers of ropes on fire.
Amperon: Disables Flame Burst. Costs 6 energy.
Vayn: Confuse Ray on Amperon. Inflicts confusion for 4 actions. Costs 5 energy.
Amperon: Attempts to use ElectricNet. Hits himself for 4 damage.
Vayn: Attempts to use Flamethrower. Full paralysis.
Amperon: Disables Flamethrower. Costs 6 energy.

The top layers of ropes are on fire. At any given moment, an ember from them could cause other layers to ignite as well! If my estimate is correct, there are 8 layers of rope (not including the ones on the floor or connecting the pillars), and the top 2 are on fire.

Vayn is in the center of the arena. Amperon is 7 feet away, currently on a pillar. Albinoloon, go!

Vayn, awesome. We only used one attack and knocked out a good chunk of its health! Now, here's the plan. Pin Amperon to wherever he may be with a fire spin, then, ignite wherever he is with an ember! Lastly, gather a large wad of burning rope/fire with psychic, and slam it on him!

fire spin - ember - psychic to gather burning rope/fire and hurl it at him

If he's gonna play like that, let's use it to our advantage.

First, sneak into the shadows with Faint Attack to both dodge the Fire Spin, and then smack him from behind. Then, nail him with a Thunderbolt. Then, wait for him to throw the burning rope at you, and shoot a String Shot at a pillar that's not yet burning and swing yourself out of the way in a Tarzan-like fashion.

Faint Attack (dodge fire spin) > Thunderbolt > String Shot to swing away from the ball of fire

You guys are extremely lucky that I purchased fire insurance for this arena. Alright then, Vayn really hates the fact that she's fat and slow, and attempts to slow down Amperon with a Fire Spin. Once again, though, Amperon has a very fast reaction rate, and dodges the column of fire by using Faint Attack and escaping into the shadows. He then rams into Vayn, although luckily for the ghost candle, the attack's damage was reduced since Amperon spent some energy using Faint Attack to dodge. Slightly ticked off now, Amperon's body crackles with electricity as he lets loose a wicked Thunderbolt at Vayn. This discharge of electricity also apparently stopped his confusion! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same to Vayn, who attempts to burn the electric mite to the ground with an Ember, but is still feeling the effects of paralysis. At this point, Amperon is taking things easy. He didn't get a single scratch so far and managed to bring his foe's health down a notch. However, his smile falls right out of his face when he realizes what Vayn is going to do next- use Psychic on the flaiming ropes from above to create a huge fireball, that is! Panicking, Amperon tries to dodge it by using String Shot on a column as a swing, but the impact of the fireball sents flying embers, well, flying all over the place! One of the embers touched the string of silk, igniting the whole thing and giving Amperon a good jolt of damage.

Vayn: Fire Spin on Amperon. Costs 3 energy.
Amperon: Dodge Fire Spin with Faint Attack. Costs 4 energy. Attacks Vayn with reduced damage (1/2). Deals 2.25 damage.
Amperon: Thunderbolt on Vayn. Deals 14.5 damage. Costs 6 energy.
Vayn: Full paralysis!
Vayn: Psychic on flaiming ropes. Costs 7 energy.
Amperon: String Shot to dodge. Costs 5 energy. Flying embers burn String Shot. Deals 8 damage.

There are still about 7 layers of rope on the ceiling that are intact. Amperon is resting on a pillar. Vayn didn't move too much- she's still near the center. Energy St0rm, go go go!

This could be the stupidest move ever used in the history of ASB, but we've gotta try.

Amperon, I want you to make the field a lot harder to manuever through by using Pin Missile on the burning pillars and make them fall down. With any luck, the dust and stones falling from the chamber will put out the flames. Then, use Electra Net on Vayn to slow it down even more and render it almost immobile, and finish off with Thunderbolt.

Pin Missile on the pillars > Electra Net > Thunderbolt

Vayn, you're still on top!
First, I want you to use psychic on the ceiling ropes to trap Amperon! While he's pinned down, trap him with a fire spin. Then, set him ablaze with a flame burst!

It appears that Amperon is starting to realize the trouble he is facing. The entire arena (except for the center) is made up of flammable objects- a certain disadvantage to the mite. Amperon decides that it is time to take control of the match. He tries to do this by firing off 5 Pin Missiles at the columns. Two of the columns explode, sending ash, dust and splintery wood all over the floor. This makes walking on the ground pretty hard for both combatants, as splintery wood could pierce them and cause damage. Vayn, meanwhile, uses Psychic on the ceiling ropes (3 layers of them, to be accurate) and throws them at Amperon yet again. Amperon tries to escape from this tangled mess but trips (did I mention he is clumsy?) and falls. It is going to be pretty hard to accurately fire a move like this!

Despite the drop in accuracy, Amperon manages to tangle Vayn in an Electra Net by combining his silk with his electricity (waaaaait a minute. I thought only female spiders could produce silk), using his legs to jam the thing in his mouth, and spit the whole ball at her. The net gives Vayn a nasty shock, reducing her speed by a stage. Just like Amperon, Vayn can hardly move at all and suffers an accuracy loss. She then uses her candle-flame to shoot a twister of fire at Amperon, but stumbles, making Fire Spin miss Amperon........ and ignite a pillar that is 9 feet away from him! This sudden turn of events causes Amperon to panic and unleash a crackling bolt of thunder at Vayn. Vayn retaliates by spitting a concentrated Flame Burst at him. The attack hits him, but also destroys the ropes, freeing him. Amperon does not have any time to celebrate, though, because that burning pillar could explode in any second now.......

Amperon: Pin Missile at columns. Shoots 5 pins. Destroys 2 columns. Costs 3 energy.
Vayn: Psychic on ropes to trap Amperon. Amerpon is pinned down! Accuracy lowered by 10%. Costs 7 energy.
Amperon: Electra Net on Vayn. Lowers speed. Vayn is pinned down! Accuracy lowered by 10%. Costs 6 energy.
Vayn: Fire Spin on Amperon. Misses, but ignites a pillar Costs 3 energy.
Amerpon: Thunderbolt on Vayn. Deals 14.5 damage. Costs 6 energy.
Vayn: Flame Burst on Amperon. Deals 19.5 damage. Costs 5 energy.

There are splintered wood everywhere on the floor, making it impossible to move around without getting damaged. Amperon is 9 feet in front of the center and 9 feet away from the burning pillar. Vayn...... still didn't move at all (she is right next to the depression in the center, right across Amperon). She is also trapped under the Electra Net. Albinoloon, it is your turn to go.

Well, Vayn, weactually did really good so far despite the turn of events.

This could get nasty... We can still see well (no accuracy drops) so that's good. Torch that spider (and the electra net while it goes through it) with a flamethrower. If it tries to dodge, trap it where ir's dodging with a fire spin. If it disables flamethrower, hit it with a flame burst- but if not, fire another flamethrower. Lastly, pick up the burning pillar with psychic and slam it into amperon to finish this!!

flamethrower/fire spin - flamethrower/flame burst - psychic the burning pillar/its burning remains

If Amperon uses anything different, just use the move in front of the slash.

Seeing our massive type disadvantage, Amperon, you're doing pretty well! Time to wrap this Litwick up (both figuratively and literally).

Since the ground is covered with splinters, we now have the upper hand. Electra Net to swing high up on the ceiling and walls, well away from any flames. Keep producing those webs to crawl around the walls and the ceiling, and, although getting hit by the first Flamethrower is inevitable, just keep moving after that and avoid falling down to the floor no matter what. Next, use Faint Attack on nothing in particular merely to dodge the second Flamethrower, and as Vayn begins to Psychic that pillar, shatter it with another Pin Missile to send a rain of wood shards falling down on the Litwick.

Electra Net > Faint Attack > Pin Missile

It is nearly impossible to hear anything over the roars from the burning pillars, but luckily, Pokemon have a much better sense of hearing than humans. The fire makes Amperon uncomfortable. Actually, uncomfortable is an understatement- he is about to shit in his pants right now. Trying to keep his cool, Amperon uses Electra Net on the ceiling to evade the fire. Unfortunately, it takes a while to completely cover the ceiling, giving Vayn time to let loose a particularly nasty Flamethrower. The attack gives the Joltik a good jolt (so punny!), but somehow, Amperon musters up the willpower to continue. If he stays on the ground, it would basically be commiting suicide.

Vayn notices that it is taking Amperon longer than usual to complete the attack. The battle is dragging on awefully long, and both Pokemon are getting tired. Vayn fires off another Flamethrower, but Amperon finally finishes the net and dodges the attack with Faint Attack in the nick of time. This reaaaaaaaly ticks of Vayn. She has a spa appointment in three hours and wants to end this battle as quickly as possible. Suddenly, the burning pillar gives her an idea. She uses Psychic on it and flings the column at Amperon, who quickly fires off his own Pin Missle, shattering the pillar and setting splintery wood everywhere. Both Pokemon get pierced by the attack, although Vayn is hit harder since the pillar was closest to her.

Amperon: Electra Net on ceiling. Costs 6 energy. Moves away from ground.
Vayn: Flamethrower on Amperon. Deals 20 damage. Costs 6 energy.
Amperon: Evasive Faint Attack. Costs 8 energy.
Vayn: Attempts to use Flamethrower. Misses. Costs 8 energy.
Amerpon: Pin Missle on pillar. Costs 3 energy. Shrapnel deals 5 damage.
Vayn: Psychic on burning pillar. Costs 7 energy. However, gets shattered by Pin Missle. Shrapnel deals 7 damage (Vayn is closer).

Amperon is on the ceiling, feeling very dizzy and fatigue. He may fall from the ceiling if it with a powerful attack. Vayn is in slightly better shape and still did not move an inch. She is directly below Amperon. IIRC, there are still two pillars left untouched. Energy Storm, go!

Amperon, let's first use Gastro Acid from high up to nullify Vayn's Flame Body, then follow up with two Thunderbolts.

However, if Vayn decides to hurl an attack (or a burning pillar) at you, instead of Thunderbolt, drop from the ceiling and land right on top of the Litwick with a Faint Attack, then, making use of your close proximity, use Thunder Wave for that paralysis. That Gastro Acid is imperative, though, to prevent you from getting burned.

If Vayn chills, chill up alongside of him.

Gastro Acid > Thunderbolt > Thunderbolt

(if Vayn attacks the first or second command) Gastro Acid > Faint Attack > Thunder Wave

(if Vayn attacks the third command) Gastro Acid > Thunderbolt > Faint Attack

If Vayn chills on any command, replace your respective command with a chill as well. However, do not chill on the first command, as Gastro Acid is imperative. Also, do not attempt to Thunder Wave without Faint Attacking first.

Whew what a complicated turn.

Wee, a loophole in ES's commands! So, Vayn, first, launch a confuse ray as it somehow squirts acid at you.... Ew..... Then, fire two flamethrowers to scorch that bug!

Both Pokemon are exhausted now, and are on the verge of collapsing! Amperon's low energy level makes him even more paranoid about fire, and so he throws up his Gastro Acid on Vayn in order to put out the candle flame on her head. Vayn gives Albinoloon one of those "Ew, GROSS!" faces, and gets even by firing off a Confuse Ray at him. Tired and dizzy, Amperon hits himself and falls from the ceiling to the ground. Delighted at this, Vayn burns the bug to a crisp with a very nasty Flamethrower. I know it's not really in my place to interfere with the battle, but I feel that I must.

Substitute: The Pokemon siphons between 15 and 25% (flat) of its life force and creates a Substitute. The Substitute can absorb damage and status attacks for the user. Although weaker substitutes can be attempted, they are usually of shoddy construction and can dissipate quickly.

Attack Power: -- | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: (Substitute HP - 3) | Effect Chance: --

I'd just like to say that making a 5% or 10% Substitute is impossible. Now since the round from before has already ended, there's not much we can do about it so I'm going to leave it as is. However, Energy Storm, if you please, edit your post to a percentage between 15 and 25. That should work out. Remember that Substitutes are between 15 and 25% and you're good to go.

Thanks in advance!
