2v2 Doubles at Stonehenge, Cabbage vs Arcanite (Ref: IceBug)

It only seems fitting that someone with an avatar as out there as Woobly Cabbage would attack a tourist for his first ASB battle at Stonehenge. Well, at least Arcanite was nice enough to humor him, and not press charges! This still doesn't explain why I agreed to ref, but that's neither here nor there. Good luck to both battlers!

Vullaby (*) Carria (F)
Nature: Careful (Adds One (1) Rank to Special Defense; Subtracts One (1) Rank From Special Attack)

Type: Dark/Flying
Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.
Flying: Flying Pokemon are gifted with extroardinary senses of vibration and often a set of wings that enable them to fly, giving them a massive tactical advantage over grounded Pokemon. Even Flying types without wings have a keen sense of ground vibrations, and can always evade Ground attacks whether they shake the earth or not. Flying types can take wing in almost any weather condition, and to that end they can also create massive wind gusts without a large deal of recoil.

Well it seems I've turned up just in time to see the action get started, so lets not waste any time.

Brinkley opens us up by aiming a Thunder Wave right at Sir Auron the little Riolu. The attack finds its mark and Sir Auron is now paralyzed before he can even think of acting. Edge the Snivy decides to take a more defensive route, and sets up a Reflect to lessen the impact of physical attacks against his team. Carria immediately bypasses this wall, instead hurling nasty gunk at Edge that inflicts him with a Toxic Poison. Sir Auron rounds out the actions by managing to overcome his partial paralysis to deliver a devastating Blaze Kick to Brinkley as payback. The iron ant did not like that one at all.

Brinkley immediately retaliates against the Riolu, biting down on him with Thunder charged Fangs. Edge then decides to repay the earlier favour for her team mate, and Glares at Brinkley with steely eyes, also leaving him paralyzed! Carria then turns her attention to the Snivy, Plucking at her for minimal damage thanks to the reflect. Sir Auron then breaks into a Swords Dance in an attempt to maximise his attacking prowess for the coming stages of battle.

Edge leads off the final action of round one with something that almost resembles an attacking move. He launches Leech Seeds at Brinkley that the Durant is now much too slow to avoid. In fact one use of these seeds sees Edge heal off all the damage his poison caused, although that damage is only going to worsen as the battle rolls on. Carria then makes sure that Sir Auron won't be doing any more dancing, by Taunting him into using nothing but attacking moves. We will never quite be sure what Brinkley had planned this time around, as his paralysis acts up and he is unable to move. Sir Auron once again beats his own paralysis, and delivers another Blaze Kick to the still stiffened Brinkley, this tome dealing even more damage thanks to his war dance.

Yep he sure has.

This match will therefore be ruled a no contest (as 2 rounds weren't reffed) and I've also been informed that nobody gets any counters from it, sorry.

Hang on WHAT? We had a complete round?!?!? And If i got no counters, I have had a wasted battle spot for two weeks.

From the Battle Tower:
Each time a Pokemon enters battle, their Evolution Counter goes up by one.
This happened.
Each time a Pokemon enters battle, their Move Counter goes up by two (2).
Again, this happened.
Each time a Pokemon enters battle, its Dream Counter goes up by one.
Guess what?
Each time you enter a battle, your Trainer Counter goes up by two.
Hmmm...

EDIT: Just looked at the Referee training grounds:
Compensation for battles that end in Disqualification:

A Disqualification can only occur after the first Two Rounds of a battle have been reffed.
So ummm.... what happens? I don't want to be stuck with a battle slot, but I want prizes, as I have kept this slot used for two weeks?

I usually make scenarios like this a (sadly) wasted effort since two rounds weren't reffed.

Ask Deck though about what should happen. Maybe it could be something different than what I'm thinking. Perhaps you still get the 1 EC/2 MCs/2 DC bonuses.

deadfox081 has it right. The rule is two rounds have to be reffed. It sucks that it sucked up your battle slot for so long, but it could have been brought up sooner, and once deadfox081 announced it was a no contest, it was a sufficient conclusion to the match and you could have most certainly used the battle slot.
