4DRAG1MAG1TRAN1DREAM.

Here I am with another RMT, after hearing of a mitycal playstile which is pretty dead in today's metagame I become interested in the idea, crap, I fell in love with it. Here's a quote from the pioneer, Makiri.

The design for 4drag2mag, as the team is affectionately known, allows for battles to finish quickly, and more often than not a win for the user. I've seen people try to be fancy with the team, trying to predict, which is completely unnecessary. I've joked that you can use the following flowchart and still win:

Obviously it is not always that simple, things happen, but the general idea is there, click Outrage and win. After using it for some time I passed it off to #stark and people have had similar success with it, some people needed help at first so here is a sample battle with me telling the user exactly what to do:
That flow chart rocks socks.

Before starting the team building I listed in a sheet of paper all the problem that can came up while using a dragmag team.

*Steel types, obviously.
*Ice shard users. To be honest, just Donphan, Mamoswine and EmoGayShiny Weavile.
*Another scarfers who can beat my dragons.

Team Building process

I'm going to list all the dragon type pokemons and the reason to choose them of not. The list is courtesy of Bulbapedia.

Dratini: He's gay and not fully evolved.
Dragonair: Same as above.
Bagon: Same as above.
Shelgon: Too slow and lacks the powah.
Axew: Bleh.
Fraxure: Gñe...
Haxorus: Must have him!! Fuck yeah. He reminds me of this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTngBI51gJc

Don't fucking mess with the dragons.

Druddigon: Too slow.
Dragonite: He got the bulk, he got the powah, he got the bitches. Dragonite was an obvious choice.
Altaria: He's weak.
Salamence: Badass attacks, intimidate/moxie, mixed sets, sign me
Latias : It's too defensive for a team like this...
Latios : He's one of the most important dragons.
Rayquaza: Uber.
Gible: No.
Gabite: No.
Garchomp: Y U NO OU.
Reshiram: Uber.
Zekrom: Uber.
Kyurem: Maybe, but that speed...
Kingdra: Your outrages are not enough and I can't rely on always facing drizzle team for you to work.
Vibrava: No.
Flygon: He's not enough.
Dialga : Uber.
Palkia : Uber
Giratina: Uber
Deino: Nope.
Zweilous: Slow.
Hydreigon: He's one of the best competitors but Latios is a bicht and took his place.

Let's see what I took out of the pile.

Dragonite, Latios, Salamence, RapeHaxorus.
I needed to kill steels, So Magnezone and Magneton were added.
Magneton didn't even pull his weight, I needed a Steel that can put dents to other steels, so I added Heatran.

The team at a glance.

*In-depth look*

Dragonite (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed

Why this pokemon?
I needed some things, bulk, speed, powah. Dragonite is extremely bulky with multiscale.

The set
Crap. This is a dragmag team. I don't really need to explain. Rape and destroy with outrage. Often my lead. Fire punch and earthquake are very situational, Outrage rapes, while ExtremeSpeed let me revenge things if the situation need it. 252 Hp over 252 Speed, why? I noticed something, sometimes I just cant out speed things that can pose a serious treat with the Hp investment I survive mostly every attack thanks to multiscale.

Haxorus (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rivalry
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dual Chop
- Brick Break

Why this pokemon?
Haxorus hits like a fucking truck even without a band. I don't need more.

The set.
Everyone expect a fucking banded one, but noooo. He's already strong enough. Earthquake is great with outrage, Dual chop is useful against sash leas, looking at ya', Smeargle. Brick break, huh, I clicked it once...or twice in my time with this team. But his only reason is to break dual screens which can be a pain to this team. Rivalry over Mold breaker....The power boost of rivalry is sometimes nice, that's all.

Salamence (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd/ 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Flamethrower

Why this pokemon?
Salamence sports a nice attack, and Intimidate helps it's bulk. I tried a Moxie one, It worked wonders, sometimes he beat the other team all by itself, but sometimes I just needed to intimidate the like of Terrakion. So I decided to use a Intimidate one.

The set.
This guy must be a dumbass for running Adamant nature with flamethrower.
Yeah, but I can't lower the attack, I can't lower the speed, and I rarely use it, it's the last check to steel types, just used him once, I don't intend to kill them just lowering their HP to a point where someone can take it out is more than enough.

Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Draco Meteor

Why this pokemon?
Latios is fast bicht, it hits hard and it stops the most dangerous treats treats to this team, He's a must.

The set.
It doesn't matter how much I loved the omnipotent firepower of a specs, modest latios, this one is better for one only reason, Terrakion. With a scarf he can hit and kill every pokemon of the team with these moves: Close combat, Stone edge, X-Scissor. Latios outspeed it and rape him. So yeah, that's pretty much the reason of the scarf.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd/ 4 Def
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch

Why this pokemon?
He's the best steel rapist.

The set.
Hidden power fire for those who try to stop the fury of the dragon. Volt swicht to scout a dragon, thunderbolt is pretty much for those sub-dd Gyarados and those who resist the rest. Flash cannon and Choice Scarf are the most important. Why?, Mamoswine is simply a bicht, it let's me outspeed and KO dumb Mamuts that try to oppose to the dragons.

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd/ 4 Def
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Roar

Why this pokemon?
I needed some things, phazing, hazards and a decent check to some pokes. Tran accomplished that. This place used to be from that Bignoseguy, Probopass, but he sucked balls, and the other Magnet pullers couldn't get the job done.

The set.
Hazards were necessary for the likes of Dragonite and Volcarona who tries to set up on me, Roar is in there for a same reason. The ballon let me take on treats who would be a pain, like dragonite if the rocks aren't up, at least to take out the multiscale or roar him out. Max speed and Sp. Atk to beat those non-choiced mamoswines.

Hi. First of all, I think you're over using Scarfed Pokemon. Certainly, they're nice to use, but you may want to opt for more power. I suggest Specs on Latios, and CB on Salamence in order to hit harder. Your team will also have a bit of trouble against mamoswine. With smart switching, mamoswine can gradually pick off every single of your team members, so you really should put in a check for that. Terrakion is also a problem. In order to solve this, I suggest you use Scizor in place of Salamence, since you already have two physical dragons doing the outraging.

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower

You're right on the Mamoswine thing. He's a treat to every dragmag team. I may test the Scizor. Anyways, Scarf Terrakion can suck the inexistent balls of my Scarf Latios, so Latios won't be specs. Adding Scizor would remind me of this great RMT of GEN IV.

You may as well read it. It's great.

Wow, way too many Choice items. Magnezone doesn't need the Scarf.
Magnezone @ LEFTOVERS
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd/ 4 Def
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt
- SUBSTITUTE
- CHARGE BEAM

5 Choice items 4 of them are Scarfed. You lose out on major momentum switching out constantly.
and you'll get raped by entry hazards since you don't have a spinner.

I suggest going for a DD Haxorus. It totally rapes everything. Once you have a DD up, the definition of "not very effective" on Haxorus' dictionary will be "Skarmory"

Haxorus@Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe

~ Brick Break / Taunt

Dragon is only resisted by steel. I doesn't even swicht, I let the dragon die if it isn't really neccesary, so that if a steel kills my dragon I got a free swicht to Magnezone. When all steels are dead or weakened outrage everything.
What I'm trying to say it's that you need balls and a stupid mind to use this team like it's supposed to. Look at this RMT, if you havent. But like the other guy just said I might try DD lum Haxorus.

While my experience with a dragon based team in BW is somewhat limited (I made a team prior to Garchomp's banning with 5 Dragons), your team is fairly similar to what I used and what I would use now.

Let me go down the line of your Pokemon and give my thoughts.

Dragonite- While I see what you're going for with the max HP EVs, I personally would not do that, you really don't want things like Metagross and Heatran outspeeding you when you are locked into Outrage, the extra damage from an extra Outrage helps the rest of the team KO them even if you don't have Magnezone. I also would use Brick Break over Earthquake, it can hit things like Tyranitar much stronger than Earthquake and can also hit incoming Balloon Heatran.

Haxorus- I like Dual Chop, but I also like X-Scissor for Celebi. Certain Celebi can cause some trouble and X-Scissor really has no problem with it, and it also an option for certain bulky Pokemon weak to Bug that aren't 2hkod by Outrage. Rivalry is my go to ability but it is really hit or miss, sometimes you really make out and get a ton of damage, but it also makes Haxorus useless against Chansey/Blissey.

Salamence- Very tricky, Moxie seems very good and it really makes me want to try a Moxie mixed set without Scarf. I tend to use a Mixed Mence because sometimes you really need moves like Draco Meteor and Fire Blast over Dragon Claw. Like Dragonite, I tend to use Brick Break over Earthquake, sometimes breaking Reflect/Light Screen is also needed in today's meta.

Latios- Seems fine, though I would personally use Trick/Psyshock/DracoMeteor/Thunderbolt, Tricking Scarf was also very necessary sometimes vs some Pokemon don't care what you throw at them and just Recover it off. Reuniclus is an example of a Pokemon who can shrug off some attacks and cause some major trouble.

Magnezone- I actually didn't like Scarf Zone much when I used this team earlier, I went with Sub/Thunderbolt/HPFire/FlashCannon, Magnezone can be very difficult to deal with behind a Sub and sometimes Scarf Timid just doesn't have the oomph for Pokemon like Heatran and Metagross that you can't hit for super effective,

Heatran- I like Heatran a lot and I thought about putting it on one of my other Dragon teams, the only problem I have with your set is Roar, maybe it works for you but I don't think it is something I would use.

Other Pokemon I've discussed with myself that could go on a Dragon team I feel could also make an impact:

Hydreigon- I really think it has potential as a mixed Pokemon, or just straight special, Fire Blast really helps for those Steels and Dark Pulse/Earth Power are also equally good. Hydreigon gets really good coverage on ever Pokemon with just DracoMeteor/FireBlast/EarthPower and is a very good anti-Steel Dragon.

Terrakion- I think it fits with the Dragons pretty well, it can do some serious damage to Steels with Close Combat, but it tends to not live very long against certain teams.

Kyurem- Seems like it can have some potential but it has some very suspect weaknesses that don't make it as good as I think it can be, Latios is generally the better Special Dragon to me.

One thing that kind of bothers me is I think some Pokemon like Venusaur in Sun can cause some extra problems and I always thought about sticking a Weather changer on the team, but one that doesn't affect the Dragons too much, but I was never wholly satisfied with any of the options and it really detracted from the team.

You got the right idea for this team, and people judging it based on the fact it has too many Choice Pokemon really don't understand the archetype, it is usually a simple team to make but is filled with a ton of minor decisions you need to make about moves and sometimes even Pokemon. Use what you feel is best and as I mentioned in my original RMT, tweak it to what you feel comfortable with, the 4Drag2Mag is just a guideline and you choose how to make it work your own way.

Hey man cool team, I've recently laddered with a dragspam team and got into the top ten, under the alt Dragyboy. It's eerily similar to yours, five of the same mons down to the item haha.

Put Dragonite's 252 HP Evs into Speed, while I see where your coming from by giving him more bulk I promise the Speed will help in the long run. You can get that 2HKO on loads of new 'mons and you can't be revenge killed quite as easily.

I suggest keeping Scarf Magnezone, I ran it as well and it was extremely deadly. It nets loads of surprise KOs and Scarf Volt Switch is very clutch. It really gives the team a solid "glue", netting a load of helpful resistances. Also the main reason I ran Scarf Magnezone was to combat SD Lucarios and SD Toxicroaks. Scarf Magnezone is a solid check against them, as they both can set up SDs on Latios after Draco Meteor and proceed to do a ton of damage. Also Scarf Magnezone is great because as you go to switch it into their Skarmory and they switch up to something else expecting that, you don't lose your offensive momentum because you have a Scarfed Volt-switch coming their way.

My last suggestion is just coming from the fact that I've pretty much run this team :) I suggest CB Scizor over your Heatran, it's what I used hehe. The set I suggest is:

Scizor (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Quick Attack
- Pursuit

In all honesty this set helps you a lot against certain threats. First off its Bullet Punch is a huge "emergency button" taking out things like RP Terrakion. It also helps a lot against Scarf Landorus who this team hates! Bullet Punch will 2HKO while EQ fails to do the same. Scarf Landorus and Scarf Terrakion can only be taken on by Scarf Latios and Scizors and Tyranitars love hanging out with those two sand scarfers. Scizor also gives you better switch-ins to things like Tyranitar who is the most problematic weather starter for this team. You also get to abuse the similar VoltSwitch combo with CS Magnezone and CB Scizor. You do however lose your rock support if you switch out Heatran, but this sort of team is one of the few who don't need it. Don't believe me check out Makiri's and PK Gamings Dragspam RMTs. Overall Scizor helps tremendously against High end Sand teams which are the main problem with this team. Also he kills Mamoswine and we all know how much Dragons hate Mamoswine :)

Threats Scizor covers: Scarf Landorus, Terrakion, Latios, Mamoswine, Dragonite.

Anyway bit of a weird rate but I promise Scizor makes all the difference, and hey good luck man, this team can crack into the leaderboard, I just know it ;)

Good Luck!

Also side bar, Moxie Scarf Outrage makes a dank cleaner.

Thanks to you and Makiri, and some guy from above I'm testing scizor on the team. The most problems that I recognize are the Chllorophylers (fuck grammar) 500 in speed is a rape, not everyone can get that even with a fucker scarf and having scizor will let me have a way to revenge them to continue my outrage, might as well try Terrakion, who can get me a easy kill against those like Gyarados who seem annoying putting subs in my face and put a close combat to those steel types.

For Salamence, if you're worried about being unable to lower any stats, the best one to lower is Sp. Def tbh.
It doesn't survive many special hits anyway, and just about any special priority it encounters will be resisted and unable to do much.
