Sorry for the delay folks, but let's get this show back on the road! Eevee, who has maintained a fairly offensive strategy from the start, continues its assault with Hidden Power. However, Spheal abandons the Ice Ball strategy it was just using in favor of the very powerful Brine. Eevee is below half its HP, so the salt of the attack gets in Eevee's wounds and adds to the power of the attack! Even with the stat drops Eevee has inflicted, it looks like Spheal can now outdamage Eevee.

Eevee isn't giving up though, and it attacks again with Shadow Ball. Spheal responds with Surf, which seems to do an equal amount of damage. Both Pokemon look pretty worn out now, but it looks like Spheal holds the advantage since it can hit harder.

Using Hidden Power once more, Eevee puts Spheal dangerously close to fainting. But Spheal manages to hang in there, and it counterattacks with another Brine that KOes Eevee! With Eevee down, MastaNVX is now left with one Pokemon. Still, it's pretty obvious that Masta is in the winning position here, as Spheal is one attack away from fainting, and Masta's final Pokemon has a clear advantage over akela's final Pokemon...

Masta replaces the fallen Eevee with his last Pokemon, Noibat. Noibat has a bad matchup vs Spheal normally, but Spheal can't take another hit -- and both sides know it. Spheal puts up a barrier with Protect, but Noibat sees this coming and uses Double Team to stall out the barrier before quickly finishing off Spheal with Air Cutter.

Now that both battlers are down to one Pokemon, things are really starting to get intense. Masta seems to hold the advantage here, but having a type advantage isn't all there is to ASB, so we'll see! Anyways, Noibat starts out by using Agility to dodge Cacnea's Toxic. This also leaves Noibat's Double Team clones intact, although to be honest I think just going for damage would have been more efficient for Masta, as the Toxic damage this late isn't that big of a deal.

Regardless, now Noibat goes on the offensive, using Air Cutter to hit Cacnea for super effective damage. Cacnea responds with Poison Sting, but it looks like the attack only strikes a clone! Too bad, as using the contact variant of Poison Sting guarantees a crit.

Noibat continues its attack, this time using Leech Life. This attack doesn't do much damage, and Noibat is already at full health, so I can't help but think there were better options. akela seems tired of these Double Team clones, and has Cacnea use Feint Attack to guarantee a hit. Still, Cacnea seems to be falling behind... can it close the gap, or will the type matchup prove too difficult?

Masta seems to want to avoid letting Cacnea use any tricks, so he orders Noibat to use Taunt Cacnea. This doesn't go over too well though, as Cacnea just uses a combination attack of Poison Sting+Toxic to bypass the Taunt, jabbing Noibat and releasing a toxic poison into it. Not only that, but Poison Sting was the contact variant that always crits, adding extra damage. Will that toxic damage be game changing? We'll see.

Noibat struggles with the poison, but takes the opportunity to strike the exposes Cacnea with Air Cutter. Cacnea, too tired from its combination, can't do anything to dodge. Air Cutter is super effective on Cacnea, but the damage output still seems lacking. I think if Noibat can't manage to hit Cacnea harder, it might not be able to win this matchup.

Still, every attack counts, and Noibat goes in with Dark Pulse. Unfortunately, the attack doesn't cause Cacnea to flinch, and Cacnea fires back a Venoshock in response. Noibat, who is already struggling with poison, is his extra hard by Venoshock! As I suspected, with this Cacnea can outdamage Air Cutter. If Masta can't manage to find a method to increase Noibat's damage output, he'll find himself in a real pinch. Noibat is only slightly ahead right now, so if this keeps up it could very well lose...

Wow, these two keep going at it! Cacnea gets the jump on Noibat and jabs it with another Poison Sting. It looks like the attack managed to score a critical hit again, too. But Noibat seems to have let Cacnea go first while it was charging up... and it suddenly unleashes an insanely strong Air Cutter+Gust combination attack! Wow, that attack does a lot, and Cacnea looks very low on HP now. I don't think it can take another attack from Noibat.

Still, Noibat is wide open after that attack. Cacnea takes advantage of this moment, hitting Noibat with another Venoshock. Noibat still has some HP left though, so I think Masta has this match in the bag...

Huh? Instead of striking the finishing blow, Noibat recovers HP with Roost? Well, Cacnea hasn't given up on and continues its offensive with another Poison Sting, but that doesn't seem to be enough to bring Noibat down. It looks like this will drag on another round, but as long as Masta doesn't choke it's just a formality...
