Adventure Battle: To Defy the End [Chapter 1] Rainman Legends + Dogfish44

Cave Area 4: North West Lake Cavern

Deciding to "play god" in hopes the dim witted magikarp will believe your facade, Gardevoir (and Rain's mega ring) begin to emit a piercing violet light. As Gardevoir mega evolves, Gallade steps up and bellows out to the fish.
475.png

"We are powerful deities, please do not fear us! These travelers need the treasure of the lake!"

But as Gardevoir explodes out of her evolution coccon, she cheerily launches a massive blast of moon energy out across the lake; the shimmering pink energy abruptly explodes above the center of the lake and the Magikarp. The massive energy, which exploded not too far below the cavern ceiling, sends hundreds of tiny stalactites crashing down into the water, causing the usually calm lake to ripple drastically with movement.

129.png
<<KARP GODS KARPS OH NOOOO>> <<KARP KARP THE GODS WANT THE TREASURE KARP KARP HELP>> <<THE SKY IS FALLING AND THE GODS DEMAND SACRIFICE AND PROMS TOMORROW KARP KARP KARP>>
The falling stalactites hit the five magikarp in the center, and the other two you saw previously still seem to be hiding way in the back. The magikarp that were freaking out seem to believe your rouse, but what about the "King Karp"?
129.png

<<PAIN PAIN KING KARP IS IN PAIN. WHO ARE YOU GODS WHY DO YOU WANT KARP KARP LAKE TREASURE KARP KARP DONT HURT KING KARP KARP>>

He seems a bit worried, but you /did/ claim that you shouldnt fear them... right before bringing hellfire and meteors crashing into their home.

But, most of the magikarp seem willing to comply to your "godly" whims.

What do you do?

[Mega Gardevoir used Moon Blast! -6EN]
[The Moon Blast was so powerful it caused nearby stalactites to crash into the lake!]

Rain and Eris rolled their eyes at Terra's grandiose stunt... but it is very effective. The Karp seemed terrified enough to comply this time. After all, who would disobey the Gods?

As King Karp protests, the other two present magikarp /finally/ cease their fighting and agree on one thing; helping the other 3 magikarp get the sword blade. King Karp is furious and tries to stop them, but the two meat heads hold him back as the 3 choir karps scramble to get the treasure at the bottom of the lake. two of them succeed in carrying the blade in their mouths, together, and eagerly swim up to the surface towards your voices. They spit the sword blade out, and it clanks and clatters at your feet. You look up and see the Magikarp have immediately gone back to the center of the lake, yapping and chattering about who should be the prophet for when more gods come.

Well, the Sword's Blade is at your feet. One piece of the puzzle is obtained... you reckon.

"Well, that went well, barring the fact that I feel my IQ has dropped by spending too much time near them. I guess we'll take this for the time being!"

475.png

*picks up the great treasure*

Eris: Return to the central chamber
Romeo: Return to the central chamber, carrying the sword hilt carefully. Also, set up Flash to see where we're going once it gets too dark otherwise.

[Glaciernote: on regarding the item, Gallade can carry it, but will need to put it down if he wants to join in combat (unles he is using attacks that do not require use of hands). It can easily be picked up afterwards once combat has ended. Eris has a pack and can store it there as well]

Cave Area 4: North West Lake Cavern

Gallade carefully picks up the blade, holding it in both hands and taking a firm grip. Rain and Terra lead the way back into the Main Chamber, as they bicker about food. Gallade follows, and Eris stay behind just a little bit. She quickly gets up close to the water, and sticks out her tongue before running back to her moving party.

"Nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Cave Area 2: Central Caverns

your party manages to make it back to the main chamber without falling into the river beside the path. You enter the Chamber, and the darkness envelops you. You remember the layout for the most part, but you can't see a thing right now. Your party stands right outside the Northwest tunnel entrance, pondering what the next course of action is.

What do you do?

"Hang on, lemme put that sword in this backpack, thinking sensibly. Oh, Romeo, bring up some light for us will ya?"

*let there be light*

Eris: Go through the tunnel we haven't explored. Oh, and put the sword into the backpack.
Romeo: Make like a lightbulb. Again. (Use Flash and hold it)

"Lets go down this path now, surely nothing will ambush us right?"

"Try not to jinx us"
Terra: Go through other tunnel
Rain: Go through other tunnel

Cave Area 2: Central Caverns
Eris and Romeo, fumbling in the dark just a little bit, exchange possession of the Sword Blade; As Eris puts it in her trusty little chanel louis voton purse backpack, Gallade once again brings up a beacon of light, holding his hands out as his luminous orb appears. The Party is unanimous in their decision to take the other path the only unexplored path at the moment. As they make their way across the ginormous chamber, the waterfalls roar with power and mists crashes upon them. The party is silent as they pass the center of the arena, one of the members glancing at the massively ordained door in the north part. The Sword Blade... You definitely see where it fits. You reckon the next tunnel will lead to a place where you can get the second item. Or perhaps it leads to a whole new extension of Mt. Coronet...

[Gallade used Flash to light up the caverns! -4EN now and a -1EN payment at the beginning of each ref update Flash is still held]

The party stops right at the entrance of the southeastern tunnel; The path is small enough so that it only allows only person at a time, and it looks like a rough climb. The slope is quite sheer, and though it has uneven rocks jutting up here and there, the step-stones need a bit of skill to scale without harm. Gallade is the light of the party, but as he goes first, it proves toughest for him due to his hands holding the flashing orb of light. Your team follows behind him, having an easier time.

It takes a full 30 minutes for your party to scale the surprisingly tricky tunnel. Gallade takes the path slow, and slips up four to five times He is barely scratched, but its his energy that seems sapped.

[Gallade -2HP from slipping and scraping up on the rocks]
[Gallade -12EN from the tedious climb up the tunnel]
[Eris -8EN from the tedious climb up the tunnel]
[Rain -8EN from the tedious climb up the tunnel]
[Terra -8EN from the tedious climb up the tunnel]

Cave Area 3: South East Caverns
Music: Tomb of the Nosepass Pharoh

Your party makes it up to the top of the tunnel, gasping and wheezing. Gallade still has the light up, which is a good thing; with jagged breaths you survey your new challenge.

You find yourself in a small room that immediately begins as the tunnel levels out from its sheer slope (100 feet x 100 feet, with a ceiling about 15 feet above you). The floor is littered with a half foot of sand and large rocks (some getting as big as watermelons) that are smooth and rounded, seemingly eroded by some kind of winds. The walls and ceiling seem sturdier than the other parts of Mt. Coronet you've seen, but this cavern seems to be darker without a light source being brought into play.

At first you dont notice the Nosepass in the center of the room; Three large spires of rock make an interesting piece of artwork , and the Nosepass is hiding in the center of all three. The spires are spaced out in a small triangle, with the tall point being situated in the northernmost point, so that you have a clear view of the Nosepass in the center of it all. The spires are of various heights- the northernmost being tallest at 12 feet, with the others reaching about 7 and 9 feet, respectively. They are thick spires of carved rock, about 4 or so feet thick at the base and dwindling only past 5 feet. You also noticed that the rock is of a different composition than all other rock sources in the small cave; These rocks are a dark brown, with a blueish hue to them in some parts. Your eyes focus on one of the bluer areas, and jump a bit when a jolt of electricity jumps out of it! It quickly leaps into one of the other blue spots in a different spire, and now that your attention is focused to this you notice the spires are passing electricity 3 to 4 times every 30 or so seconds.

Your eyes falls back to the Nosepass, who has not budged a millimeter. You see that there is a Hilt of a sword in its hands.

299.png

".........Nose. Nose. Pass. Noooose. Pass."

<<.....One. Two. Three, Light source. Four, and this one is under some kind of transformation. They are Tired and are looking for something, I could only imagine what.>>

Stoic and unfazed, Nosepass is waiting for you to make the first move, it seems. This encounter seems different from the magikarp in that this pokemon seems much brighter. Electricity crackles.

[Gallade -1EN from holding the Flash]
You and your party decide that you're tired of playing games, and decide to be a little more coercive.

Terra gives Nosepass a fierce stare as her body ripples with a rainbow of color, her aura shimmering from greens and blues to yellows and reds. Small leaf shaped slivers of energy peel off the Mega Gardevoir, and begin to accumulate and circle around her; within five seconds Terra has close to forty small glowing leaves to will about. She smirks, and glances over to Rome-

Who just exploded out of his own Mega evolution cocoon in a blast of purple and gold energy. While still holding the light, he concentrates with his psychic mind power. Without warning, Wahneferhotep is washed in a thick purple light, and is raised a couple feet into the air. Its grip on the Hilt becomes Iron clad, and it still says stoic and emotionless, although it does seem slightly perturbed.

299.png

"Nose. Pass. Nose, Pass Nose?
<<I thought so. You want my Father's hilt. And what are you offering in exchange?>>

As soon as the final words leave the ancient Nosepass, the flurry of leaves go charging at him. Nosepass does not seem to flinch in the slightest, and the Leaves halt right before peircing the Telekinesis bubble and damage Wahneferhotep. The whole party speaks in unison.

"Your Life."

The Nosepass opens its eyes, and it gives you a stone cold stare. The sand begins to whip about at an alarming pace.

299.png

"Nose, Nose. Pass, Nosepass."
<<A proper exchange, or a fight. Those are your only options now, foolish travelers.>>

And with that, the field suddenly becomes blasted with sand! Wahneferhotep whips up an extremely fierce Sandstorm! The harsh winds are able to destroy and scatter the magical leaves, but Romeo's psychic grip on Nosepass stays strong.

Those eyes stare right into you, waiting for you to act.

Is it time for battle? Or can you make a fair trade?

Cave Area 3: South East Caverns
[Gallade released Flash! The Cave is pitch black!]

As Romeo switches from holding the beacon to a fighting stance, the lights go out. You hear Nosepass call out through the black Oblivion.

299.png

"Nose. Pass. Nose."

<<Fighting in the Dark? I am unfazed. Do your worst.>>

Terra snorts a bit and accepts the challenge, using her immense psychic energy to envelope Wahneherhotep in rosy pink aura. It overrides Gallade's weaker metal energy, and the nosepass goes crashing into a small sand bank, though your party isnt quite sure where. The Telekinesis has been disrupted and the darkness does you no favors.

Gallade surges forward towards what he thinks is Nosepass... and gets a hit! His brick break smashes into the ancient prince, who tumbles back deeper into the cave and the darkness. Eris and Rain join in on the onslaught; Eris hawks a huge luge that sizzles with some kind of gastric acid, while Rain fire off a dizzying beam of confusion. The darkness proves to be an obstacle though, as the acid lands on a random rock and the confuse ray hits one of the cavern walls.

Nosepass calls out from the darkness.

299.png

"Nose. Pass."

<<Hmmph. My Turn. >>

For a moment, all is silent but the fierce winds of the sandstorm. But before you can hold your breath, bright blue flashes of light are seen in the back of the cave. You make out Nosepass, standing near the back wall, surrounded by over a dozen floating stones. Each stone varies in size, though some are as big as Wahneherhotep himself; they all crackle with energy, blue electricity sparking out from the stones erratically. The Nosepass flicks his hands forward toward your party, and the charged stones surge across the field and into your team. Sand blasts everywhere as the rocks break and send electricity surging through your entire party... with the exception of Rain. Wonder why he wasn't a target? You aren't too sure, but your party continues the onslaught. You also notice that Terra's synchronize was not able to Paralyze Wahneherhotep... perhaps all the years of being charged by the spires and the affinity to electric has adapted into an immunity?

Rain quickly acts to strike Nosepass before his memory gets foggy, and manages to hit the Nosepass in the dark with a payback attack- perhaps in retaliation to the previous attack? The Nosepass doesn't budge; it seems to be recharging from that powerful attack.

The party Rain left behind him tries to shake off the previous barrage and get back into the fight- Romeo and Eris manage to launch successful attacks, the former crushing Nosepass' rock body even further and Eris spraying it with a nasty acid. Terra however stays behind and near the entrance, the paralysis preventing her from completing an attack.

Rain looks back at his pokemon, eyes wide. He then turns to the Nosepass, look of rage on his face, and slams the Stone figure with a ghastly punch. This time however, the Nosepass dishes back damage- but to Eris! Perhaps Wahneherhotep is simply not interested in Rain, or something else.. But he blasts Eris with a pulse of power from its body- a Power Gem attack!

The Paralyzed trio seem to shake the status for this action at least, as they all three mercilessly hammer the ancient prince... or at least Eris and Gallade do. Another Brick Break and a Dark Pulse sting, but Terra fails to use her Grass Knot! She couldn't find a plant source to exploit...

As the team gets battered by the sandstorm, they take a break as Nosepass glows suddenly. It floats in the air, and with magnetic speed Wahneherhotep zooms back into his Charged Spire, almost as if it was pulling him in.

299.png

"Nose. Nose. Nose"

<<You are all strong. But I am sturdy. I will not give up my Father's coveted item easily>>

And now he's back within the confines of his spire. Great.

What do you do now?
