Sorry I can't match up with your enthusiasm on this matter

let's just get it over with

COMBO (Fire Punch + Focus Punch) - cooldown - COMBO (Fire Punch + Focus Punch)
[THREE SUBS]IF
Fire Punch is disabled OR Focus Punch is disabled OR Deoxys has less than 24 en A3 THEN COMBO (Giga Impact + Knock Off) A3

Handbook reference: This is the minimum amount of energy the Pokemon needs to execute the combo. If it has less, the combo fails and the Pokemon faints from exhaustion. If the combo is a same-move combo, the base energy cost is the cost of using the move on that action and the following action, with all modifiers like STAB and consecutive use penalty factored in. If the combo is a different-move combo, the base energy cost is the cost of using one move on that action and the other move on the following action, with all modifiers like STAB and applying consecutive use penalty to whichever move (if either) was used on the action prior to the combo.

Fire Punch + Focus Punch uses 24en, meaning 24 are left. Fire Punch + Focus Punch used one after the other use 24 en, so it should make the cut exactly. Since the fail happens only if Current en is lower than Base Energy Cost (not if it is equal) it should work.

While your interpretation of the rules is correct under ordinary circumstances, the Base Energy Cost of the second combo is not 24 due to the consecutive move energy penalty. This is supported both by common sense (minimum energy required to use a move consecutive is EC+4) as well as by "If the combo is a different-move combo, the base energy cost is the cost of using one move on that action and the other move on the following action, with all modifiers like STAB and applying consecutive use penalty to whichever move (if either) was used on the action prior to the combo."

Therefore, the second combo should be Giga Impact+Knock Off

so texas your point is pretty much irrelevant since the sub doesn't hit any of its triggers. I tried to tell you this on IRC but you logged off 2 minutes before I could. lol. and focus punch enko's on the charge, same as all other moves where it's applicable (D/E moves).

Catching on to the Kitsunoh's tricks, Deoxys prepares this rematch by going on the offensive: It focuses itself for an attack, and bursts into flames. Kitsunoh taunts them, and sits back, before getting punched in its smug face for a ton of damage. While Kitsunoh sits back and relaxes, recovering some of the precious EN it exhausted before, Deoxys prepares for another attack... and burns itself out. In a twist of irony, Deoxys itself succumbed to exhaustion.

Well that's disappointing. Not sure where you're getting losing battle from, even after that gaffe I'd say this match is still incredibly close. C'est la vie, I suppose we'll pick this up in a few months when we both have time for the 202
