IIRC you can't check for hacked parents because the egg was probably generated in a legit manner.

Is there any point in teaching Dragonite Ice Punch in Emerald besides using it to breed Feraligatr (or so I've heard thats one of the main reasons for it)? If it's not really necessary, I'd rather breed Dragonite in Diamond @_@

Not really. The common physical sets use fire punch, but it learns that via heart scale too.

I don't think there is a nickname code, the most I could find one time was a code that let you change your OT number but I don't know if that is enough to be able to nickname a pokemon or if you would need to change your secret id and name too.
I have been able to nickname pokemon by changing OT number, secret ID and name with pokesav.

Genderless pokemon can only breed with ditto. You need one of the gendered pokes.

I don't think Starmie can breed with non-ditto pokemon :\ Correct me if I'm wrong.
