Bellossom QC [0/3]

[OVERVIEW]
  • Bellossom should only be used with sun support.
  • Bellossoms ability Chlorophyll doubles it speed in sun, making it a scary pokemon to fight against.
  • Bellossom has competition against other sun abusers such as Weepinbell and Tangela which are the better pokemon in general, but has a niche over them in moonblast which allows it to defeat bulky Dragon-types such as Zweilous with ease that trouble Weepinbell and Tangela.
  • Despite its niche Bellossom should not be used over Weepinbell or Tangela unless your team struggles with Dragon-types.
  • Even while Bellossom has its speed doubles in sun because of its low speed stat its still outsped by common choice scarf users such as Rotom-Frost, and Rapidash.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Solarbeam is Bellossoms strongest STAB move, hitting popular Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types such as Carracosta, Piloswine, and Rampardos super effectively.

  • Hidden Power Fire hits Grass-, Steel-, and Bug-types which resist Bellossoms Grass STAB such as Roselia, Metang, and Ninjask super effectively. Hidden Power Rock is an option over Hidden Power Fire as it can deal Super Effective damage against Fire-types which trouble Bellossom.

  • Moonblast helps Bellossom hit Fighting-, Dragon-, and Dark-types such as Machoke, Zweilous, and Fraxure super effectively.

  • Sleep Powder allows Bellosom to put threatning Fire-types such as Rapidash, and Ninetales asleep so one of its teammates can deal with them.
Set Details
========
  • Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs with a Modest Nature and a Life Orb allow Bellossom to hit as hard as possible, but with a Timid nature Bellossom can outspeed alot more stuff when sun is up thanks to its ability Chlorophyll.
Usage Tips
========
  • Bellossom should be used as a wallbreaker or a late-game cleaner, it should put threating pokemon asleep with sleep powder such as Rapidash, Clefairy, And Lickilicky
  • Bellossom should only be used on sun-based teams, as it is outclassed by other grass types such as Weepinbell and Tangela without sun. Bellossom can profit from the sun with its ability Chlorophyll, which doubles its speed and SolarBeam, which does not need the extra turn to charge.

  • Even though Bellossom is not frail, it can easily be worn down by hazards, life orb recoil and even resisted atacks. Pokemon that can give Bellossom a free switch in with the use of U-Turn, Volt Switch or Baton Pass, are good pokemon to use with Bellossom. Bellossom has big difficulties getting past steel and fire types. Pokemon that can beat big threats such as Lickilicky and Rapidash are mandatory for Bellossom.
Team Options
========
  • Fire checks: Fire-type checks such as Rapidash and Gabite are good partners for Bellossom because, they can handle Fire-types well as Rapidash has drill run to damage Fire-types and Gabite can use its STAB Earthquake.

  • Bellossom should only be used on sun-based teams. Sunny Day users such as Onix, and Golem are good teammates as they can set up sun and also use Stealth Rock to wear down Fire-types that trouble Bellossom. Because Bellossom only must be used on sun-based teams, other sun abusers such as Tangela and Weepinbell are good pokemon to use alongisde Bellossom to overlord their counters.

  • Pokemon that benefit from sun alongside Bellossom such as Weepinbell, and Tangela are good team mates as they can weaken eachothers counters.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Giga Drain or Energy ball can be used over Solarbeam as they don't need a turn to charge and sun is not always guarenteed up.
  • Synthesis can be run to heal Bellossom as it is worn down easily by entry hazards + status + Life Orb recoil.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire Types**: Fire-types such as Rapidash, Torkoal, Ninetales can give Bellossom trouble as they resist all of Bellossoms moves and can OHKO it back.

**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Lickilicky can deal with Bellossom, they can simply just switch into Bellossom and stall out run, or Life orb stall with their recovery.

**Residual damage**: Residual damage such as entry hazards, status, or Life Orb recoil can easily worn Bellossom down.

**Choice scarf users**: Choice Scarf users such as Rapidash, and Rotom-Frost can outspeed Bellossom in sun because, of its low speed stat and can revenge kill it.

EVs should be just standard. 252 SpAtk, 252 Spe, 4 SpDef, Modest. But, defensive Bellosom can work wonders too! It gets Synthesis, Stun Spore and Aromatherapyª

Defensive Bellossom is outclassed by the likes of Pokemon such as Roselia, so no point in giving an analysis to that. A Sun Sweeper set sets itself apart from other Pokemon such as Tangela and Weepinbell because of access to different coverage in Moonblast, which may be a slight niche, but enough to make Sun sweeper the main set.

No offense, but you reserved this. I expect you would have had an idea of what content would be in the analysis? Something as simple as noting what kind of Pokemon it can switch into and/or methods to switch Bellosom into battle without taking too much damage should suffice for Usage Tips.

im not qc but ill try to help

[OVERVIEW]
-bellossom is pretty horrible, so make sure this is more negative
-mention that it's only really useful in sun, which is a really niche playstlye
-mention why its outclassed by tangela and weepingbell (tangela is bulkier and weepingbell is stronger while also having a nice dual STAB and weather ball; both have growth too)

[SET]
-slash hp rock with hp fire; just an alternative that prevents you from being completely walled by fire- and flying-types
-i would also slash timid, as it at least allows you to outspeed some of the tier's scarfers

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
-implement hp rock

Set Details
========
-mention life orb and chlorophyll

Usage Tips
========
-this definitely needs a lot of beefing up, include that it should be used to punch holes in opposing teams or cleaning late game
-mention that it can put to sleep pokemon its unable to KO, such as lickilicky and clefairy
-mention that it should be weary of priority such as pawniards sucker punch and piloswines ice shard

Team Options
========
-mention volbeat as a sun setter, and also mention that it can bring bellossom in safely with its slow u-turn
-remove carbink mention

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
-move hp rock to set
-mention substitute to avoid status
-mention some sort of defensive set, but make it clear that it's outclassed by tangela and roselia

Checks and Counters
===================
-mention flying types
-mention priority users

mention in team options that this should only ever be used on sun teams (not that it should be used at all but you know what i mean), and as such sun setters and other sun sweepers are mandatory (also mention weepinbell and leafeon in team options)

remove mentions of nu mons and change machamp to machoke

usage tips is pretty bare, add more to it

do this and i'll look at it again

remove mentions of nu mons

say in the overview that despite its "niche" it still isn't viable

don't mention mightyena as a moonblast target as it's ohkoed by solarbeam, mention fraxure instead

remove assault vest from oo

remove mention of sun carbink since other sun leads are better

do these and i'll look at this again

"Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs with a Modest Nature and a Life Orb allow Bellossom to hit as hard as possible, but with a Timid nature Bellossom can outspeed alot more stuff when sun is up thanks to its ability Chlorophyll." Like what? be more specific please.

mention sawsbuck and victreebel as teammates, also fire types like simisear and rapidash

"Bellossom should be used as a wallbreaker or a late-game cleaner, it should put threating pokemon asleep with sleep powder such as Rapidash, Clefairy, And Lickilicky" -explain why it should put these particular Pokemon to sleep (it can't 2HKO them while they OHKO / cripple it)

explain in the overview more about why it's outclassed. right now it just says it's outclassed without explaining why

you mention other sun abusers twice in team options

mention volbeat in team options, it should be on every sun team
"Even though Bellossom is not frail, it can easily be worn down by hazards, life orb recoil and even resisted atacks. Pokemon that can give Bellossom a free switch in with the use of U-Turn, Volt Switch or Baton Pass, are good pokemon to use with Bellossom. Bellossom has big difficulties getting past steel and fire types. Pokemon that can beat big threats such as Lickilicky and Rapidash are mandatory for Bellossom." this is a team options sentence, not a usage tips sentence
say in the fire types part of checks and counters that they can be put to sleep by bellossom

rapidash isn't a common scarfer, mention simipour, sawsbuck, and dodrio instead
