Voting Time Folks: Sorry I'm late to start this I had work this morning so I apoligize for any inconvience. We have 8 cores this week. Everyone gets 2 Vote's but only 1 team will be entered into the hall of Fame
Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
Hyper offense is my favorite playstyle because it is quick and easy to win with especially when this metagame is plagued with balanced teams. Azelf is the suicide lead which sets up rocks and makes sure you don't forfeit any momentum. It also creates mind games because you know what your opponent's lead is. Mega Garchomp breaks balance teams easier than a sledgehammer breaking a computer screen. Dragon Rush is legit as it's powerful and doesn't make you confused + locked. It also has a flinch chance :p. Scarf Hoopa-U is the only Hoopa-U for hyper offense. This thing hits hard af with Fury and has the coverage options to make it work. Thundurus is the second doom of offense and Thunder Wave provides speed control for Garchomp. Weavile and Keldeo are annoying, so I added Azumarill. You can change to Choice Band or Belly Drum, but I prefer the bulk while being able to switch moves with Assault Vest. Bisharp punishes defog users and breaks bulkier teams in combination of Mega Garchomp.
Mega Swampert under rain is a huge threat to this team. Immune to T-wave, at +1 he outspeeds and OHKOs the entire team. If Azumarill or Bisharp is burned by scald, encored, or asleep courtesy of Politoad, or if Azu is weakened by just 30%, he doesn't even need +1, as he can then OHKO the entire team and sucker punch + aqua jet does a maximum of 85.2% even in rain.
252+ Atk Mega Swampert Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hoopa Unbound: 301-355 (100 - 117.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Swampert Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus in Rain: 321-378 (107.3 - 126.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Swampert Earthquake vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 240-283 (59.8 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Mega Swampert Earthquake vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 360-424 (89.7 - 105.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Waterfall vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Mega Swampert in Rain: 220-261 (59.9 - 71.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Aqua Jet vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Mega Swampert in Rain: 111-132 (30.2 - 35.9%) -- 96% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Mega Swampert Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Bisharp: 398-470 (146.8 - 173.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Mega Swampert: 153-181 (41.6 - 49.3%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Mega Swampert Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Garchomp: 356-420 (99.7 - 117.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
Edited the thread title. Thank You Random Passerby for covering the thread while I was working, Its greatly appreciated. Congratulations to Bludz for making the Hall of Fame and Albacore for coming runner up.
Hall of fame will be updated shortly and I hope you all have fun this week break Dark Spam
Weavile itself is a big threat to vertex's team, since it can switch in with decent prediction and unleash hell. Only Azumarill can reliably switch in but even it will hate losing its Assault Vest. However, Toxicroak can switch into Azu pretty easily (watch out for play rough, tho) and take care of it or possibly set up a free swords dance, which can allow it to OHKO Hoopa-U, Thundurus and Bisharp after sr. Mega Diancie aids them in hazard control, being an excellent weapon against Azelf, being immune to T-Wave and revenge killing Garchomp and Bisharp in a pinch.
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Diancie: 152-179 (63 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Hoopa Unbound Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Diancie: 141-166 (58.5 - 68.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Hoopa Unbound Hyperspace Fury vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Weavile: 135-159 (48 - 56.5%) -- 86.7% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 530-627 (132.1 - 156.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Hoopa Unbound: 280-330 (93 - 109.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Toxicroak Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 221-261 (73.9 - 87.2%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Garchomp: 378-446 (105.8 - 124.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Hoopa Unbound: 329-387 (109.3 - 128.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Explanation: Where is your swtich in. Thats pretty much the definition of this fairy spam core Not only do all 3 have the bulk to take most hits atleast once while shrugging of dark abuse they can usally OHKO or severly dent anything that tries to hurt them in return. Pretty much nothing on this team enjoys taking Hyper voice outside of AV azumarill who can only do it so many times while risking status which only makes scizor's Job easier anyway who also doubles are a pivot covering the weakness's of the other 2 members and cleaning late game. Finally azumarill rounds out the core by by giving duel the team duel prioty that renders Thundorous T-wave moot as well as whacking everything on the team hard. Pretty much once 1 member of the core gets in this dark spam team will find itself in huge trouble and likely overwelmed
Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Quick Attack
With Kyurem having the bulk to take a few hits and threaten virtually every member of the team with its coverage. Lopunny on the other hand is able to threaten Thundurus and the two darks sufficiently. Quick Attack makes it less vulnerable to being RK'd by Hoopa-U, allowing it to pick it off if its taken some damage beforehand (too lazy to check the calc) while also allowing it to pick off a weakened Thundurus before it is able to T-wave.
Breloom is one of the few Pokemon able to reliably check Azumarill and Breloom, OHKOing both with its STABs. It can also use this opportunity to Spore and set up a Swords Dance, which even OHKOes Hoopa-U at +2. Scarf Chomp cleans up after Breloom by OHKOing Mega Garchomp and Thundurus with Outrage (let's be honest, 90% of players don't assume Chomp is Scarfed and will try to revenge Chomp with Thundy, only to eat an Outrage to the face!) while also being immune to Thunder Wave. Plus, Scarf Chomp is much faster than Scarf Hoopa anyway.
No I'm not dead despite all the rumours pointing to that fact. Just been busy with work and Life. Thanks Random Passerby for looking after the thread in my absence. Anyway I've added my core and I'm just letting everyone know theres only 24 hours left to post a core :) Goodluck
Sorry for the delay in getting voting ready guys. Ive been trying (And failing) to get reqs the last day or so because everyone wants to vote in the suspect. But anyway its time for our own vote
Voting Time: We have 5 cores this week Everyone gets to vote for 2 teams but only 1 team will be entered into the hall of Fame.
Congratulations gamer boy on wining this week with your Kyurem Black and Lopunny core. I'll enter it into the hall of fame shortly :D. Also well done to do a DoABarrelRoll and Bendiving for coming runner up's
Explanation: An improvement on his original fairy spam team here. This Team is built around Gardevoir spamming hyper voice as much as possible to kill crap While Garchomp and Landorus are there to take hits from pokemon who shit on M-Gardevoir because of her shitty defense stat. Jirachi is there to revenge kill, pivot into opposing fairies while having the option to give another pokemon a 2nd shot on life. Latios punch's holes in anything short of clef and heatran while acting as a lure for Scizor and ferrothorn and Finally Keldeo rounds out the team giving it a water and bisharp/weavile switch in who would otherwise cause huge trouble.
Hopefully I've descirbed it correct. If Im wrong let me know TDK
Anyway feel free to post cores or explain what breaks the team and I'm foward to this weak
Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat
Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Poison Jab
This is a slight modification of an awesome anti-meta core that theurbandear posted in the good cores thread. Poison jab Weavile takes on 4/6 of the team by itself. It can't switch in to much but once it's in - courtesy of Mega-Manectric's intimidate+volt switch combo - something's gonna get wrecked. M-Garde hates poison jab, Latios, Garchomp and Landorus all lose to icicle crash. Weavile is checked by jirachi (which doesn't want to switch in to a knock off) and countered by Keldeo, which is where M-Mane comes in, destroying them with overheat/thunderbolt respectively. Should Weavile get overloaded, Mane's fast HP ice mops up the remains.
Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
Mamo has the ability to beat any pokemon on tdk's team that switches in mindlessly, due to its 130 attack and STAB Earthquake, plus ice shard to revenge kill lando- T and latios after rocks. However, Mamo's checked by rachi even though it hates EQ, and Garde can take an Ice Shard and KO. However, Ferro with a rocky helmet shits on anything Rachi tries to do and use it as setup fodder, while managing to OHKO garde with gyro ball after tanking a focus miss. AV Azu is there to force prediction games for garde and latios, since at full health, garde needs high rolls to 2HKO it and latios does jack shit with HP fire.
This core is the one Get this Money mentioned on the team he posted in the sample teams thread.
This team doesn't really like dealing with a Mega Metagross carrying Ice Punch. Mega Metagross outspeeds 5/6 members of this team and has a chance to OHKO almost all of them, even without any prior damage. It may need to take a hit before Mega Evolving, but after that the only damage it will be taking is from Rocky Helmet + Rough Skin and Jirachi. Magnezone doesn't do that much to this team, but it does trap Jirachi if it decides to go for anything besides U-turn. This team also doesn't appreciate switching into Specs Flash Cannon, assuming Magnezone comes in on Jirachi on a double switch.
