Can't open the installer

Hello. Recently, the computer was running windows xp and shoddy worked fine, butdo to viruses and things of that sort the computer was taken to get fixed. I'm not sure what they did to it because it isn't exactly my computer, but whoever fixed it installed windows 7 on it. When I try to open the Shoddy installation thing, a command prompt box opens, displays some text, and then closes before I can even read it. I've downloaded the most recent version of java and it still doesnt work. I'm not quite sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.
