[OVERVIEW]

Clawitzer's decent Special Attack stat combined with its wide movepool which includes Scald, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, and Aura Sphere, allow it to be one of the most powerful wallbreakers in RU. In addition to this, Clawitzer has Mega Launcher, allowing to have a more powerful Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere. However, Clawitzer's mediocre bulk combined with its low Speed stat makes it outspeed by common threats in RU, such as Rotom-Mow, Virizion, and Hitmonlee. Clawitzer also faces major competition as a wallbreaker from Pokemon such as Houndoom and Tyrantrum.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Scald is Clawitzer's main attack, hitting Fire-, Ground-, and Rock-types such as Delphox, Mega Camerupt and Rhyperior. Dark Pulse allows Clawitzer to hit Psychic- and Ghost-types, such as Meloetta and Jellicent. Ice Beam hits Flying-, Dragon-, and Grass-types, such as Fletchinder, Flygon, and Tangrowth. Aura Sphere allows Clawitzer to hit Dark- and Steel-types, such as Sneasel and Steelix, hard.

Set Details
========

This EV spread combined with a Modest nature allow Clawitzer to hit as hard as possible and allow it to outspeed uninvested base 90 Pokemon, such as Golbat and Meloetta. Mega Launcher allows Clawitzer to have a more powerful Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere. Life Orb maximises Clawitzer's damage output and doesn't lock it in a move, unlike Choice Specs.

Usage Tips
========

Clawitzer is best used as an early-game wallbreaker thanks to its decent power and ability to break through walls. Because of Clawitzer's mediocre bulk, it should not switch into strong attacks, and should only be sent in on specially defensive walls that cannot do much to it, such as Jellicent and Aromatisse. Clawitzer should be sent in by a U-turn or Volt Switch user, such as Eelektross and Flygon. Thanks to its nice coverage moves, Clawitzer should try predict a Grass-type such as Rotom-Mow switching in and hit it Ice Beam, or a Water-type Pokemon such as Jellicent or Seismitoad switching in, and hit them with Dark Pulse or Aura Sphere.

Team Options
========

Faster Pokemon such as Jolteon and Choice Scarf users such as Meloetta and Hitmonlee can outspeed faster threats for Clawitzer. Fire-types such as Mega Camerupt and Delphox can help deal with Grass-types, such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Virizion. Grass-types such as Roselia and Shiftry can help beat Grass- and Water-types, with the former able to provide Spikes support while the latter able to provide Defog support. Entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Steelix and Rhyperior is helpful as Clawitzer forces a lot of switches and allow it to break through walls more easily. U-turn and Volt Switch users such as Magneton, Jolteon, Rotom-Mow, Eelektross, Flygon, and Meloetta are helpful in order to bring in Clawitzer safely.

Other Options
=============

Clawitzer could run a Choice Scarf to outspeed its threats or a Choice Specs to have more wallbreaking power, but this locks it to one move and make it unable to utilize its wide movepool. Clawitzer could run an Expert Belt over Life Orb so it doesn't have recoil damage but at a slight cost of less damage. Clawitzer could run Water Pulse over Scald as it has more power when boosted with Mega Launcher, but Scald has only slightly less power and the chance to burn. Clawitzer could run U-turn to pivot out, but it loses one of its coverage moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: As Clawitzer is relatively slow, faster Pokemon such as Sneasel and Hitmonlee are able outspeed and KO it thanks to its mediocre bulk.

**Electric-types**: Although they can't switch in easily, Electric-types such as Jolteon, Magneton, and Rotom-Mow are able to outspeed and KO Clawitzer with Thunderbolt.

**Grass-types**: Although they dislike an Ice Beam, Grass types such as Virizion, Amoonguss, and Roselia are able to hit hard with their Grass-type STAB moves.
