[Overview]

Despite receiving the Iron Fist ability from the Dream World, Conkeldurr's niche is still largely unchanged from the standard metagame—it still works best as a status-absorbing sweeper with its other ability, Guts. With a base 140 Attack, poor Speed, and decent bulk, Conkeldurr has the perfect build for a slow but bulky sweeper. Thanks to Guts, burning or paralyzing Conkeldurr only adds to its power by essentially giving it a +1 boost. Conkeldurr is one of the few Pokemon that can claim to be an offensive check to Excadrill, and when played right, it is a very dangerous threat in this metagame. Conkeldurr's usefulness does not end there, as with access to Bulk Up, it can set up to pose a formidable threat of its own. Additionally, Conkeldurr makes a decent check to threats such as Genesect and Chandelure, as it can tank a hit or two at high health and KO back. Although Fighting-types such as Breloom and Terrakion boast more Speed and the ability to boost Attack more quickly with Swords Dance, they lack Conkeldurr's natural bulk, difficulty to trap, and ease at stat boosting.

[SET]
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Drain Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: Payback / Stone Edge
item: Leftovers
ability: Guts
nature: Adamant
evs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

This set focuses on setting up Bulk Up boosts to attempt a sweep. Drain Punch is the primary STAB move on this set, as it allows Conkeldurr to heal off damage it might have taken when setting up. It is preferred over stronger STAB moves such as Superpower and Focus Punch as it is highly reliable; the other STAB options are unreliable or counterproductive to the set. This set also utilizes one of Conkeldurr's biggest boons in Mach Punch; this valuable priority enables it to pick off faster or weakened threats, most importantly Excadrill. Breloom, one of the few other viable Mach Punch users, lacks Conkeldurr's bulk and trades resistances to Water and Ground for weaknesses to Fire and Ice. The choice between Payback and Stone Edge depends almost entirely on your team. Payback deals heavy damage to Latios, Latias, Meloetta, and Gengar, while Stone Edge cleanly OHKOes Thundurus, Multiscale-less Dragonite, and Volcarona.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread is pretty simple: Attack is maximized, and the remaining EVs are split between HP and Special Defense, which gives Conkeldurr enough special bulk to avoid OHKOs from threats such as Latios and Chandelure. However, an alternate spread of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD can be used to maximize Conkeldurr's Special Defense, which is its weaker defensive stat. This would allow Conkeldurr to set up on bulky Water-types much more easily, but the initial power difference is huge, and Conkeldurr would have to gain many more Bulk Up boosts in order to pose a threat. A Brave nature could be used to ensure that Conkeldurr moves second as much as possible, which would power up Payback; however, this means that Conkeldurr will lose to other Conkeldurr one-on-one.

Conkeldurr greatly appreciates Pokemon that can defeat Gliscor, speedy Psychic-types, and fast special attackers such as Tornadus. Mixed Tyranitar can Pursuit trap troublesome Psychic-types and deal heavy damage to Gliscor with Ice Beam to pave the way for a Conkeldurr sweep. Choice Scarf Genesect also makes a great partner as it is able to outspeed and KO most Psychic-types with its STAB Bug-type attacks. With its high Special Attack and bulk, it also makes a reliable check to most Gliscor.

[SET]
name: Status Orb
move 1: Drain Punch
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Facade
item: Flame Orb
ability: Guts
nature: Adamant
evs: 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

This set trades Conkeldurr's ability to set up for immediate sweeping power; it aims to use Guts-boosted attacks to strike the opponent hard without any setup. Drain Punch is a necessity for this set to heal back HP that Conkeldurr will lose to Flame Orb, while Mach Punch is very valuable priority and has an 87.5% chance to OHKO Excadrill after Stealth Rock damage. Payback hits Gengar, Latios, Latias, and Meloetta hard; they would otherwise wall this set cold. Facade rounds off the set and provides perfect neutral coverage; thanks to Flame Orb, it has a massive 140 Base Power and is Conkeldurr's most powerful neutral attack.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and hits a HP number to minimize burn damage; the leftover EVs are then invested in Special Defense. Toxic Orb is an option that initially deals less damage. The cumulative damage from Toxic Orb is higher after three turns, though, so use it only if you are running Conkeldurr as a hit-and-run sweeper; if you wish Conkeldurr to stay in for long and attempt a sweep, Flame Orb is the superior option. In terms of other moves, Conkeldurr can also make use of Stone Edge, Superpower, or Hammer Arm. The former is almost exclusively for taking out Dragonite and Volcarona, while the latter two moves are stronger STAB attacks. However, both Drain Punch and Mach Punch are very valuable to this set, and the loss of either move can drastically shorten Conkeldurr's lifespan.

As it is continually worn down by status, Conkeldurr's longevity is greatly reduced, even with Drain Punch. As such, Pokemon that can trap and KO fast special attackers can help pave the way for Conkeldurr to sweep. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Tyranitar both make excellent partners thanks to their ability to trap and KO troublesome Psychic-types. Mixed Tyranitar and Chandelure can also KO or heavily damage Gliscor—who is a hard counter to most Conkeldurr—with their respective Ice-type attacks. Tyranitar can trap and KO opposing Chandelure as well, which greatly threatens weakened Conkeldurr with Psychic. Lastly, Choice Scarf Genesect makes for a valuable partner due to its ability to KO many problematic Pokemon, such as Latios and Tornadus.

[SET]
name: SubPunch
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Focus Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: Stone Edge / Payback
item: Leftovers
ability: Adamant
nature: Iron Fist / Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This is one of the few sets that Conkeldurr can effectively use Iron Fist on. Substitute blocks status, particularly burn, and setting one up will not be too difficult considering how easily Conkeldurr forces switches. Conkeldurr can then pummel the switch-in with Focus Punch or a coverage move. Mach Punch provides valuable priority, and like Focus Punch gains a 20% power boost from Iron Fist. The third move is almost entirely dependent on your team's needs; Stone Edge quickly disposes of Thundurus, Volcarona, and Dragonite, and is the superior option if your team already has a Pursuit user or a trapper. Otherwise, Payback is preferred for its ability to hit Ghost-and Psychic-types super effectively, as they would otherwise wall this set.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread simply maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and HP to give it optimum attacking power and bulk. Drain Punch is an option over Mach Punch to recover HP lost to making Substitutes, but priority will be sorely missed.

This Conkeldurr appreciates Wish support from the likes of Jirachi or Blissey; although it is in no way mandatory, a form of recovery greatly heightens Conkeldurr's effectiveness. Gliscor is one of the few hard counters to this set, as it takes little damage from Conkeldurr and can hit back hard with STAB Earthquake. Therefore, Chandelure, Genesect, and bulky Water-types make excellent partners to Conkeldurr. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Genesect can both outspeed and KO Gliscor with their respective Ice-type attacks, while bulky Water-types only fear SubToxic variants of Gliscor and can threaten back with Ice Beam or a STAB Water-type attack.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Superpower / Hammer Arm
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
ability: Adamant
nature: Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Choice Band Conkeldurr hits as hard as the Status Orb one does, but trades the residual damage for the inability to switch attacks. Hammer Arm and Superpower are Conkeldurr's most powerful STAB attacks, and as this set aims to hit hard and switch out, it does not mind the resulting stat drops. Mach Punch is useful priority as always; it allows Conkeldurr to clean up weakened teams by itself late-game. Due to the lack of setup moves, Conkeldurr can afford to run both Payback and Stone Edge and effectively maximize its coverage.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

This set trades longevity for incredible power; due to that, Drain Punch is a very viable option. Although Superpower or Hammer Arm do more damage, Drain Punch will provide Conkeldurr with a semi-reliable form of healing. Once again, due to Conkeldurr's lack of Speed, the EV spread simply maximizes its Attack and HP. Conkeldurr can use a more defensive EV spread with maximum investment in one of its defensive stats, but do note that the power difference will be noticeable.

As always, Gliscor is the most prominent wall to all Conkeldurr. On rain teams, Manaphy makes a great teammate as it counters Gliscor very well; it can Rest off any damage and ignore status thanks to Hydration. Chandelure also works well due to its ability to trap and KO Gliscor with Hidden Power Ice, while Skarmory can effectively set up entry hazards and Whirlwind Gliscor out if it lacks Taunt. Mixed Tyranitar is an excellent partner for this set as well, as it can lure Gliscor in and deal heavy damage with Ice Beam, and also trap Psychic-types such as Latias. Genesect too can handle Psychic-types and Gliscor with its STAB Bug-type attacks and Ice Beam, respectively.

[Other Options]

Conkeldurr has many other offensive options. Force Palm and Low Kick could be used to paralyze opponents or lower their Speed, respectively, but but when compared to Conkeldurr's other STAB's, they are rather weak. Earthquake is also viable, but is generally redundant with Conkeldurr's STAB attacks. Conkeldurr can make use of the Sheer Force ability to mask Life Orb damage and feign a Choice item, but the moves that benefit from Sheer Force, such as Rock Slide, Force Palm, and Poison Jab, are largely inferior as they are not too powerful even after the boost.

[Checks and Counters]

Gliscor is the best counter to Conkeldurr, as it resists Fighting-type attacks, can heal off damage from even boosted attacks with Poison Heal, and can deal heavy damage with Acrobatics or a +2 Earthquake. Bulky Psychic-types such as Slowbro and Reuniclus can switch into Conkeldurr fairly easily and threaten a KO with STAB Psychic. Skarmory can Whirlwind out Bulk Up Conkeldurr, but should be careful as a mistimed Roost can be fatal. Flying-types makes good checks to Conkeldurr that lack Stone Edge; Dragonite can set up with Dragon Dance while Tornadus packs STAB Flying-type attacks to quickly take Conkeldurr down. Finally, well-played SubDisable Gengar can hard-counter Conkeldurr as it can Disable Conkeldurr's coverage attack. Chandelure also makes an excellent check to weakened Conkeldurr as it is immune to Mach Punch and can threaten a KO with Psychic.

[Overview]
 • Seems alright, maybe mention a few more uses of Conkeldurr in DW, such as being a decent check to Genesect, OHKOes Chandy with Payback while surviving Fire Blast or something like that.

[Bulk Up Set]
 • Deslash a Brave nature, most things that Conkeldurr will face will be faster than it anyways except Slowbro, who is rarely seen in the Dream World metagame. Relegate it to the AC only.

[Set Comments]
 • You don't mention Mach Punch, which is one of the most important aspects of using Conkeldurr, otherwise, people would just use a faster Fighting-type, or Breloom.
 • Mention how Breloom gives it serious competition thanks to Technician Mach Punch, Spore, and more useful resistances to Water-, Ground-, and Electric-type moves, but Conkeldurr boasts greater bulk etc.

[AC]
 • Talk about the EV spread here, explain what it does, especially as it is a very specific EV spread.
 • Remove the Flame Orb mention; there is a Flame Orb set, so no need to mention it here.

[Status Orb set]

[Set Comments]
 • Looks fine, just move the EV spread mention to the AC.

[AC]
 • Fine.

[SubPunch Set]

[Set Comments]
 • Good, just move EV spread comments to the AC.

[AC]
 • Again, remove the Flame Orb comments.

[CB Set]
 • Make Superpower the first slash; it is more powerful and accurate, and you'll likely be switching out often.
[Set Comments]
 • Good, move EV spread comments to the AC.

[AC]
 • Get rid of "as with the other sets" because sets may be changed or removed in the future, and this makes it difficult to edit out later on.
 • More teammates need to be mentioned, a special attacker to complement it, etc.

[OO]
 • Elaborate more on Sheer Force, and why it isn't a good option over its other abilities.

[CC]
 • Reuniclus should be added, as it is usually slower than Conkeldurr and OHKOes with a STAB Psychic.
Otherwise,

Approved!

edit: ugh this formatting is shit

i'll figure out a prettier one later loool

also your prose needs a bit of work, but I suppose that's what we have GP for

Conkeldurr's usefulness does not end there, as with access to Bulk Up, Conkeldurr can also boost his average defenses, while skyrocketing his Attack stat it can set up . Conkeldurr also makes a decent check to threats such as Genesect and Chandelure, as it can tank a hit or two at high health and KO back. and at high health can tank hits from Chandelure and KO back. [SET COMMENTS]

This set focuses on trying to pave a way for Conkeldurr to sweep (Paving the way for Conkeldurr to sweep is done by its teammates; it only sets up and sweeps.) setting up Bulk Up to attempt a sweep. The EV spread focuses on maximizing Conkeldurr's initial power, letting him still hit hard without relying on a boost. The defensive EV's are aimed at raising Conkeldurr's Special Defense as Bulk Up boosts will increase Conkeldurr's Physical Defense. (In general, EVs should only be discussed in AC) Drain Punch is the primary STAB move on this set, allowing Conkeldurr to heal off damage it might taken when setting up. It is preferred over stronger STAB moves such as Superpower and Focus Punch as it is highly reliable; the other STAB options are unreliable or counterproductive to the set. Drain Punch allows Conkeldurr to gain health back that he may of lost while stat boosting. Drain Punch is also one of Conkeldurr's most reliable stabs as Superpower and Focus Punch do not mesh well with this set as they are either unreliable or remove Bulk Up boosts. This set also utilizes one of Conkeldurr's biggest boons, Mach Punch. Mach Punch gives Conkeldurr valuable priority, allowing it to pick off faster or weakened threats, most importantly Excadrill. Breloom, one of the few other viable Mach Punch users, lacks Conkeldurr's bulk and trades Water- and Ground-type resistances for Fire- and Ice-type weaknesses. This allows Conkeldurr to be a more reliable Mach Punch user, due to his higher bulk and Defense boosting options. The choice between Payback versus and Stone Edge depends almost entirely on your team. Payback deals heavy damage to Latios, Latias, Meloetta, and Gengar, while Stone Edge cleanly OHKOes Thundurus, Dragonite (with Multiscale broken), and Volcarona Payback for example is able to hit Latios, Latias, Meloetta, and Gengar Super Effectively. While Stone Edge is able to cleanly KO Thundurus, Dragonite, and Volcarona.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The main EV spread attempts to find a balance between HP and Special Defense, without sacrificing Attack Power. The given EV spread allows Conkeldurr to healthily avoid possible OHKO's from Latios and Chandelure, while still maintaining a healthy Physical Defense stat The EV spread is pretty simple: Attack is maximized, and the remaining EVs are split between HP and Special Defense, giving Conkeldurr enough special bulk to avoid OHKOs from threats such as Latios and Chandelure. However, an alternate spread with of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD can be used to maximize Conkeldurr's Special Defense, which is its weaker defensive stat boosting Conkeldurr's lower Defensive stat. A specially defensive EV spread would allow Conkeldurr to set up on bulky Water-types pokemon much easier, but the initial power difference is huge. This forces Conkeldurr to set up more Bulk Ups in order to be a threat. A Brave nature could be used, to try and ensure that Conkeldurr will move last, effectively making sure that Payback is at full power; however, this means that Conkeldurr will lose a 1v1 war one-on-one versus other Conkeldurr.

Conkeldurr greatly appreciates Pokemon that can defeat Gliscor, fast Psychic-types pokemon, and fast Special Attackers like special attackers such asTornadus. Mixed Tyranitar would make thus makes a great partner for Conkeldurr, as it can Pursuit trap troublesome Psychic-Type pokemon Psychic-types and deal heavy damage to Gliscor with Ice Beam, paving the way for Conkeldurr to sweep. Mixed Tyranitar with Ice Beam can also heavily damage Gliscor, letting Conkledurr attempt a sweep. Choice Scarf Genesect also makes a great partner, as it is able to outspeed and KO most Psychic-types pokemon with its STAB Bug-type attacks. With its high Special Attack and bulk, it also makes a reliable check to most Gliscor.

move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Facade

ability: Guts
nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]

This set trades Conkeldurr's ability to set up for immediate sweeping power. This set is based around It aims to use Guts-boosted attacks to strike your opponent early hard without any setup. Drain Punch is a necessity for this set, healing back the health HP that you have Conkeldurr has lost to Flame Orb. Mach Punch is very valuable priority and has an 87.5% chance to OHKO Excadrill after Stealth Rock damage. Payback is able to hit Gengar, Latios, Latias, and Meloetta hard, which would otherwise hard wall this set cold. Facade rounds off the set and provides perfect neutral coverage; thanks to Flame Orb, it has a massive 140 Base Power and is Conkeldurr's most powerful neutral attack. Facade is the crux of this set. When the user is inflicted by a status, Facades base power increase from 70 to 140, this compounded with the Flame Orb inflicted Guts boost, lets Conkeldurr fully abuse his ailment.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EV spread maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and hits a HP number to minimize burn damage, with the leftover EVs being invested in Special Defense given is made to maximize Conkeldurr's Attacking stat, while hitting a HP number to minimize burn damage. The rest of Conkeldurr's EV's are put into Special Defense, raising his weaker Defensive side. Conkeldurr has the option of running a Toxic Orb instead of a Flame Orb, as it initially deals less damage. The cumulative damage is higher after three turns, so use it only if you are running Conkeldurr as a hit-and-run sweeper; if you wish Conkeldurr to stay in for long and attempt a sweep, Flame Orb is the superior option. This is entirely based on how you plan on utilizing this Conkeldurr set. Initially a Toxic Orb deals less damage to Conkledurr, but after three turns the cumulative damage is higher. So if you aim to use this Conkeldurr set as a more hit and run sweeper, then Toxic Orb is the superior item. While if you plan to attempt sweeps, Flame Orb will inflict less overall damage to Conkeldurr. Alternatively, Conkeldurr can use Stone Edge, Superpower, or Hammer Arm in the place of one of its moves. Stone Edgeis almost exclusively for taking out Dragonite and Volcarona would supply Conkeldurr with the ability to soundly damage opposing Dragonites or Volcoronas. Superpower or Hammer Arm can be used as a stronger STAB attack, but both Drain Punch and Mach Punch are very valuable to this set, and the loss of either move can be very detrimental to Conkeldurr's health longevity.

With Conkeldurr constantly being inflicted by a being worn down by status, his its longevity is greatly reduced, even with Drain Punch. As such, Pokemon that can trap and KO fast special attackers are very beneficial in paving a way for Conkeldurr to sweep. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Tyranitar both make excellent partners, with their ability to trap and KO troublesome Psychic-types pokemon. Mixed Tyranitar and Chandelure are also able to KO, or heavily damage, Gliscor, which walls cold most Conkeldurr, with their respective Ice-type attacks. This is important to note, as Gliscor is able to hard wall most Conkeldurr variants. Tyranitar is also able to trap and KO opposing Chandelure, which with Psychic greatly threatens this set with Psychic when Conkeldurr is not near full health. Choice Scarf Genesect also makes a valuable partner due to its ability to KO many of the Pokemon Conkeldurr has problems with, like such as Latios or and Tornadus.

[SET]
name: SubPunch
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Focus Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: Stone Edge / Payback
item: Leftovers
ability: Adamant
nature: Iron Fist / Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This is one of the few sets that Conkeldurr can effectively use Iron Fist on. (You use a move / ability / item on a set, not in it) When Conkeldurr is behind a Substitute, it can block status, but most importantly it can block burns more particularly burn if it isn't running Guts. Setting up Substitute will not be too difficult when you consider the number of switches Conkeldurr forces. It can then pummel the switch-in with Focus Punch or a coverage move. Also when behind a Substitute, Conkeldurr can effectively use Focus Punch as the Substitute prevents Conkeldurr from losing focus. Mach Punch provides valuable priority, and like Focus Punch gains a 20% power boost from Iron Fist. Stone Edge versus Payback is almost entirely dependent on your team's needs. Stone Edge is able to quickly dispose of Thundurus, Volcarona, and Dragonite for example; it is the superior option if your team already has a Pursuit user or a trapper. While Otherwise,Payback is able preferred for its ability to hit Ghost-Type pokemon and Psychic-types Pokemon super effectively, which would otherwise wall this set. If your team already has a Pursuiter or trapper, then it is recommended to use Stone Edge on this Conkeldurr set.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread is engineered to maximize both Conkeldurr's bulk and attacking power at the same time as Conkeldurr's Speed stat is not worth investing in. Since this set is built upon Conkeldurr utilizing Substitute's, and with the 25% HP requirement of Substitutes, Conkeldurr's HP can be quickly drained. Therefore Drain Punch is an option over Mach Punch, but the lack of priority will be sorely missed. The EV spread simply maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and HP, giving it optimum bulk and attacking power. Drain Punch is an option over Mach Punch to recover HP lost in making Substitutes, but priority will be sorely missed. Alternatively, Wish support can also be used for this set; although it is in no way mandatory, a form of recovery is greatly appreciated.

Many of Conkeldurr's standard counters fear taking a super effective attack while Conkeldurr itis hiding behind a Substitute. Due to this, Gliscor is one of the few hard counters to this set is Gliscor; it takes little damage from Conkeldurr and can hit back hard with STAB Earthquake This Conkeldurr set is unable to due much damage to Gliscor, while Gliscor is able to hit back for neutral damage with Earthquake. Therefore, Chandelure, Genesect, or andbulky Water-types pokemon make excellent partners for this Conkeldurr. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Genesect are both able to outspeed and KO Gliscor with their respective Ice-type attacks, while bulky Water-types pokemon only fear SubToxic variants of Gliscor and can threaten back with Ice Beam or a STAB Water-type attack Bulky Water-Type pokemon are able to tank most of Gliscor's attacks and threaten back with their STAB attacks, or Ice Beam.

move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
ability: Adamant
nature: Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Choice Band Conkeldurr hits as hard as the Status Orb Conkeldurr set, but without the residual damage. Of course Conkeldurr obviously loses the ability to switch attacks gives up the option of changing attacks, but this can be a very viable trade for some teams. Hammer Arm and Superpower are some of Conkeldurr's most powerful STAB attacks, and as this set aims to hit hard and switch out, it does not mind the resulting stat drops that these moves result in. Mach Punch is very valuable usefulpriority as always, allowing Conkeldurr to clean up weakened teams by itself late-game having an 87% chance to OHKO Excadrill after Stealth Rock (do not copy sentences from other sets). Due to the lack of setup moves, Conkeldurr can afford to run both Payback and Stone Edge, effectively maximizing its coverage.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

This set trades longevity for incredible power, and due to that Drain Punch is a very viable option. Although Superpower or Hammer Arm may do more damage, Drain Punch will supply you provide Conkeldurr with a semi-reliable form of healing. Once again, due to Conkeldurr's lack of Speed, the EV spread simply maximizes its Attack and HP this EV spread instead aims to maximize his bulk while letting Conkeldurr hit as hard as possible. Although A more defensive EV spread with either max Physical Defense or max Special Defense maximum investment in Defense or Special Defense instead of Attackcan be used, but do over max Attack. Due note however, that the power difference will be noticeable.

Gliscor is the most prominent wall blocking Conkeldurr's sweeps. In the On rain teams, Manaphy makes a great teammate as it counters Gliscor very well, makes an excellent counter as it is able to Resting off any damage and ignoring status thanks to Hydration and Hydration will heal possible Toxic's. Bulky Suicune is also able to tank most of Gliscor's attacks, and threaten the OHKO with Ice Beam. (Suicune is practically non-existent in DW) Chandelure also works well due to its ability to trap and KO Gliscor with Hidden Power Ice. Skarmory is also able to effectively set up entry hazards and Whirlwind Gliscor out if it lacks Taunt. Mixed Tyranitar is an excellent partner for this set as well; it Tyranitar is able to lure Gliscor in, and heavily deal heavy damage with Ice Beam, as well as being able to trap Psychic-type pokemon like such as Latias. Genesect too can handle Psychic-types and Gliscor with its STAB Bug-type attacks and Ice Beam, respectively Similar to Tyranitar, Choice Scarf Genesect is able to KO Psychic-Type pokemon with its STAB, as well as being able to KO Gliscor with Ice Beam.

[Other Options]

Conkeldurr has many other offensive options. Force Palm and Low Kick could be used, in an attempt to paralyze or lower the opponents Speed. Earthquake is also viable, but is generally redundant with Conkeldurr's STAB fighting attacks. Conkeldurr also has the option of running Sheer Force as its ability, which Sheer Force would be able to mask Life Orb damage; this which would will allow Conkeldurr to feign a Choice Item. Although Conkeldurr has a few moves that can benefit from Sheer Force, such as Rock Slide, Force Palm, and Poison Jab, it is better off not using them as but even after the boost they are not too powerful even after the boost. Some of the viable Sheer Force moves include, Rock Slide, Force Palm, and Poison Jab.

[Checks and Counters]

Gliscor is soundly Conkeldurr's best counter. Gliscor It resists Conkeldurr's STAB's Fighting-type attacks, and with Poison Healhas an effective way to recover can heal off damage from even boosted attacks with Poison Heal, and deal heavy damage with Acrobatics or a +2 Earthquake. Gliscor with Swords Dance or Acrobatics can also threaten the KO on Conkeldurr. Bulky Psychic-types such aspokemon like Slowbro are able to switch into Conkeldurr fairly easily and threaten a KO with STAB Psychic. Similarly, SubDisable Gengar is able to hard wall Conkeldurr if used correctly as Gengar it can Disable Conkeldurr's non Fighting-Type coverage attack. Skarmory is able to Whirlwind out Bulk Up Conkeldurr, but should be careful as a mistimed Roost can be fatal. Dragonite also makes a good check to Conkeldurr that lack Stone Edge, as it resists Conkeldurr's STAB attacks, Fighting-type attacksand can set up Dragon Dances. Pokemon like such as Tornadus also make good checks due to their super effective STAB Flying-type attacks. Chandelure also makes an excellent check to weakened Conkeldurr, as it is immune to Mach Punch and can threaten a KO with Psychic. Similarly Reuniclus, which is slower than Conkeldurr, moving slower thank Conkeldurr, can tank a weakened Payback and OHKO with Psychic.

As Omicron said, the issue was your prose. Remember, if you affix 's to a noun, it signifies possession, not plurality. Another thing - two Conkeldurr, not two Conkeldurrs. [Overview]
(paragraph space)

Dream World gives Conkeldurr Iron Fist, which was previously Hitmonchan's signature ability. Although this ability is nice, Conkeldurr Despite receiving the Iron Fist ability from the Dream World, Conkeldurr's niche is still largely unchanged from the standard metagame—it still works best as a status-absorbing sweeper with its other ability, Guts. Additionally, Conkeldurr also makes a decent check to threats such as Genesect and Chandelure, as it can tank a hit or two at high health and KO back. Although Fighting-types such as Breloom and Terrakion boast more Speed and the ability to set up boost Attack more quickly with Swords Dance, they lack Conkeldurr's natural bulk, difficulty to trap, and ease at stat boosting.

[SET]
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Drain Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: Payback / Stone Edge
item: Leftovers
ability: Guts
nature: Adamant
evs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

This set focuses on setting up Bulk Up boosts to attempt a sweep. Drain Punch is the primary STAB move on this set, allowing as it allows Conkeldurr to heal off damage it might have taken when setting up. It is preferred over stronger STAB moves such as Superpower and Focus Punch as it is highly reliable; the other STAB options are unreliable or counterproductive to the set. This set also utilizes one of Conkeldurr's biggest boons, in Mach Punch; Mach Punch gives Conkeldurr valuable priority allowing this valuable priority enables it to pick off faster or weakened threats, most importantly Excadrill. Breloom, one of the few other viable Mach Punch users, lacks Conkeldurr's bulk and trades Water- and Ground-Type resistances resistances to Water and Ground for Fire- and Ice-Type weaknesses for weaknesses to Fire and Ice. The choice between Payback and Stone Edge depends almost entirely on your team.(space)Payback deals heavy damage to Latios, Latias, Meloetta, and Gengar, while Stone Edge cleanly OHKOes Thundurus, Dragonite (with Multiscale broken) Multiscale-less Dragonite, and Volcarona.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

The EV spread is pretty simple: Attack is maximized, and the remaining EVs are split between HP and Special Defense, giving which gives Conkeldurr enough special bulk to avoid OHKOs from threats such as Latios and Chandelure. However, an alternate spread of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD can be used to maximize Conkeldurr's Special Defense, which is its weaker defensive stat. A specially defensive EV spread This would allow Conkeldurr to set up on bulky Water-types much easier more easily but the initial power difference is huge, This forces Conkeldurr to set up and Conkeldurr would have to gain many more Bulk Ups Bulk Up boosts in order to be pose a threat. A Brave nature could be used to try and ensure that Conkeldurr will move last moves second as much as possible, effectively making sure that Payback is at full power which would power up Payback; however, this means that Conkeldurr will lose a one-on-one versus to other Conkeldurr one-on-one.

Conkeldurr greatly appreciates Pokemon that can defeat Gliscor, fast speedy Psychic-types, and fast special attackers such as Tornadus. Mixed Tyranitar thus makes a great partner for Conkeldurr as it can Pursuit trap troublesome Psychic-types and deal heavy damage to Gliscor with Ice Beam, paving to pave the way for a Conkeldurr to sweep. Choice Scarf Genesect also makes a great partner, as it is able to outspeed and KO most Psychic-types with its STAB Bug-type attacks. With its high Special Attack and bulk, it also makes a reliable check to most Gliscor.

[SET]
name: Status Orb
move 1: Drain Punch
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Facade
item: Flame Orb
ability: Guts
nature: Adamant
evs: 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

This set trades Conkeldurr's ability to set up for immediate sweeping power; it aims to use Guts-boosted attacks to strike your the opponent hard without any setup. Drain Punch is a necessity for this set, healing to heal back the HP that Conkeldurr has lost will lose to Flame Orb, while Mach Punch is very valuable priority and has an 87.5% chance to OHKO Excadrill after Stealth Rock damage. Payback is able to hit hits Gengar, Latios, Latias, and Meloetta hard; which they would otherwise wall this set cold. Facade rounds off the set and provides perfect neutral coverage; thanks to Flame Orb, it has a massive 140 Base Power and is Conkeldurr's most powerful neutral attack.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

The EV spread maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and hits a HP number to minimize burn damage; with the leftover EVs being are then invested in Special Defense. Conkeldurr has the option of running Toxic Orb, as it Toxic Orb is an option that initially deals less damage. The cumulative damage from Toxic Orb is higher after three turns, though, so use it only if you are running Conkeldurr as a hit-and-run sweeper; if you wish Conkeldurr to stay in for long and attempt a sweep, Flame Orb is the superior option. Alternatively In terms of other moves, Conkeldurr can also make use of Stone Edge, Superpower, or Hammer Arm in the place of one of its moves. Stone Edge The former is almost exclusively for taking out Dragonite and Volcarona, Superpower or Hammer Arm can be used as a stronger STAB attack while the latter two moves are stronger STAB attacks. but However, both Drain Punch and Mach Punch are very valuable to this set, and the loss of either move canbe very detrimental to Conkeldurr's longevity drastically shorten Conkeldurr's lifespan.

With Conkeldurr being As it is continually worn down by status, its Conkeldurr's longevity is greatly reduced, even with Drain Punch. As such, Pokemon that can trap and KO fast special attackers are very beneficial in paving a can help pave the way for Conkeldurr to sweep. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Tyranitar both make excellent partners, with thanks to their ability to trap and KO troublesome Psychic-types. Mixed Tyranitar and Chandelure are also able to can also KO, or heavily damage, Gliscor, which walls cold —who is a hard counter to most Conkeldurrwith their respective Ice-type attacks. Tyranitar is also able to can trap and KO opposing Chandelure as well, which greatly threatens this set with Psychic when Conkeldurr is not near full health weakened Conkeldurr with Psychic. Lastly, Choice Scarf Genesect also makes for a valuable partner due to its ability to KO many of the Pokemon Conkeldurr has problems with problematic Pokemon, such as Latios and Tornadus.

[SET]
name: SubPunch
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Focus Punch
move 3: Mach Punch
move 4: Stone Edge / Payback
item: Leftovers
ability: Adamant
nature: Iron Fist / Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

This is one of the few sets that Conkeldurr can effectively use Iron Fist on. When Conkeldurr is behind a Substitute, it can blocks status, more particularly burn if it isn't running Guts , and setting up Substitute one up will not be too difficult when you consider the number of switches Conkeldurr forces considering how easily Conkeldurr forces switches. It Conkeldurr can then pummel the switch-in with Focus Punch or a coverage move. Mach Punch provides valuable priority, and like Focus Punch gains a 20% power boost from Iron Fist. Stone Edge versus Payback The third move is almost entirely dependent on your team's needs; Stone Edge is able to quickly disposes of Thundurus, Volcarona, and Dragonite, it and is the superior option if your team already has a Pursuit user or a trapper. Otherwise,(space)Payback is preferred for its ability to hit Ghost-and Psychic-types(space)super effectively, which as they would otherwise wall this set.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

The EV spread simply maximizes Conkeldurr's Attack and HP, giving to give it optimum bulk and attacking power attacking power and bulk. Drain Punch is an option over Mach Punch to recover HP lost in to making Substitutes, but priority will be sorely missed.

Alternatively, Wish support can also be used for this set This Conkeldurr appreciates Wish support from the likes of (who?); although it is in no way mandatory, a form of recovery is greatly appreciated heightens Conkeldurr's effectiveness.

Many of Conkeldurr's standard counters fear taking a super effective attack while it is hiding behind a Substitute. Due to this,Gliscor is one of the few hard counters to this set, as it takes little damage from Conkeldurr and can hit back hard with STAB Earthquake. Therefore, Chandelure, Genesect, and bulky Water-types make excellent partners for to Conkeldurr. Choice Scarf Chandelure and Genesect are both able to can both outspeed and KO Gliscor with their respective Ice-type attacks, while bulky Water-types only fear SubToxic variants of Gliscor and can threaten back with Ice Beam or a STAB Water-type attack.

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Superpower / Hammer Arm
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Payback
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
ability: Adamant
nature: Guts
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

Choice Band Conkeldurr hits as hard as the Status Orb set one does, but without trades the residual damage. Conkeldurr obviously loses the ability for the inability to switch attacks, but this can be a very viable trade for some teams. Hammer Arm and Superpower are Conkeldurr's most powerful STAB attacks, and as this set aims to hit hard and switch out, it does not mind the resulting stat drops. Mach Punch is useful priority as always; allowing it allows Conkeldurr to clean up weakened teams by itself late-game. Due to the lack of setup moves, Conkeldurr can afford to run both Payback and Stone Edge, and effectively maximizing maximize its coverage.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
(paragraph space)

This set trades longevity for incredible power; and due to that, Drain Punch is a very viable option. Although Superpower or Hammer Arm do more damage, Drain Punch will provide Conkeldurr with a semi-reliable form of healing. Once again, due to Conkeldurr's lack of Speed, the EV spread simply maximizes its Attack and HP.A Conkeldurr can use a more defensive EV spread with maximum investment in Defense or Special Defense instead of Attack can be used one of its defensive stats, but do note that the power difference will be noticeable.

As always, Gliscor is the most prominent wall blocking Conkeldurr's sweeps to all Conkeldurr. On rain teams, Manaphy makes a great teammate as it counters Gliscor very well; Resting it can Rest off any damage and ignoring ignore status thanks to Hydration. Chandelure also works well due to its ability to trap and KO Gliscor with Hidden Power Ice, while Skarmory is also able to can effectively set up entry hazards and Whirlwind Gliscor out if it lacks Taunt. Mixed Tyranitar is an excellent partner for this set as well, it is able to as it can lure Gliscor in and deal heavy damage with Ice Beam, as well as trapping and also trap Psychic-types such as Latias. Genesect too can handle Psychic-types and Gliscor with its STAB Bug-type attacks and Ice Beam, respectively.

[Other Options]
(paragraph space)

Conkeldurr has many other offensive options. Force Palm and Low Kick could be used to paralyze opponents or lower the opponents their Speed, respectively, (but? why are they not used). Earthquake is also viable, but is generally redundant with Conkeldurr's STAB attacks. Conkeldurr also has the option of running can make use of the Sheer Force as its ability, which would be able to mask Life Orb damage; this will allow Conkeldurr to and feign a Choice item, Although Conkeldurr has a few but the moves that can benefit from Sheer Force, such as Rock Slide, Force Palm, and Poison Jab, it is better off not using them are largely inferior as they are not too powerful even after the boost.

[Checks and Counters]

(moved lots of things around in this part so diff died, please read it over :3)

Gliscor is the best counter to Conkeldurr, as it resists Fighting-type attacks, can heal off damage from even boosted attacks with Poison Heal, and can deal heavy damage with Acrobatics or a +2 Earthquake. Bulky Psychic-types such as Slowbro and Reuniclus (if you mentioned reuni separately because it functions differently to bulky psychics in general, elaborate on how, because they seem similar to me) can switch into Conkeldurr fairly easily and threaten a KO with STAB Psychic.
