Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Dragon Claw / Iron Head

So yeah, Scarf Kyurem-B is one of several threats to this core. You out-speed it even at +1, (423 > 421), while Outrage easily KO's without a problem. Outrage can also easily take out Serperior with no problems whatsoever.

Considering that I was very rudely ninja'd, I had to hastily think of a backup plan, and I came up with this:

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 28 HP / 252 SpA / 228 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Stone Edge /Fire Blast/Overheat

This is pretty simple, Heatran can come in and OHKO each member of the core considering rocks damage. He can come in on a free switch and OHKO both mons (he can switch into serperior specifically quite well assuming it doesn't glare). The rest if self-explanatory.

Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. Flash Fire Heatran: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- aim for the horn next time (lol)
252+ Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 456-540 (141.1 - 167.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO (don't try to switch in unless u know it isn't using eq)
252 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 144 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard X: 226-266 (67.8 - 79.8%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock (OHKO after rocks b/c fire/flying pre mega)

+6 252 SpA Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heatran: 139-164 (43 - 50.7%) -- 3.1% chance to 2HKO (cute)
252 SpA Heatran Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Serperior: 308-366 (105.8 - 125.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Damn if only we had an unaware mon in the tier... Clefable you say? Too bad it loses to both of these rofl. Instead, let me enlighten you on a much better defensive fairy for these two that isn't malt (since it was taken):

Azumarill @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 SpD
Bold / Relaxed Nature
- Encore / Knock Off
- Scald
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

No, I'm not joking. Defensive Azu is legit. For one, it's bulkier than Clefable. It is also not serp bait like the rest of the fat waters in the tier, and ironically, this thing even flat out counters Ferrothorn! Regardless, this set beats both serp and zard quite easily. Serp literally can't do anything and gets whittled with scald, while zard just gets locked into DD or EQ and proceeds to be a liability to one of azus teammates. Knock is an option if u have a sturdier mon to take on zard.

SketchUp

Don't let your memes be dreams
Kingdra, Kabutops, Omastar and Swampert are all big threats to this core but I'll take Seismitoad instead:

Seismitoad @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 60 HP / 252 SpA / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

Outspeeds Zard-X at +1 as well as Scarf Kyurem-B, +1 Volcarona and Scarf Lando-T. Seismitoad can't switch in against Serperior but if rain is up it can switch into this Zard X set under any circumstances and kill Charizard and Serperior if rocks are up.

252+ Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 60 HP / 0 Def Seismitoad: 152-179 (41.5 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Seismitoad Earth Power vs. 104 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard X: 361-429 (111.7 - 132.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Seismitoad Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Serperior: 234-276 (80.4 - 94.8%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Dragon Claw / Iron Head

So yeah, Scarf Kyurem-B is one of several threats to this core. You may not out-run it at +1, but if you can come in the turn it mega's & assuming it doesn't DD, you can Outrage it for the KO. Meanwhile, Outrage also takes out Serperior~
Actually, the zard spread that bludz listed is outsped even at +1

Kingdra @ Life Orb
EVs: 80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Rash Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Waterfall

If Rain is up, Kingdra can outspeed and OHKO even +1 Mega Charizard-X with Hydro Pump and Serperior with Draco Meteor. As a bonus, Kingdra resists Fire and is neutral to Grass so it can take a hit if necessary (although this is not recommended).

Reserving Scarf chomp

Using this gif cuz it's the outrage attacking gif which is the only attack you should be using against these two together

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

Ok so, although scarf chomp is fairly rare nowadays, but it is a big threat to this core. It can come in against Mega Charizard X, outspeed it at +1, and OHKO it with Outrage. In addition, while it does not OHKO Serperior, Serperior also cannot OHKO Garchomp. Thanks to the choice scarf, Garchomp will also beat Serperior 1v1 (barring any unfortunate parahaxes who depending on the user will probably work Mega Magic Bounce ). However, for this mon to beat both members of the core it has to come in on Charizard freely, because Serperior can paralyze Garchomp and Leaf Storm + Flare Blitz has the potential to kills Garchomp. Also Serperior also can not have set up. (calcs to be added)

252 Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 104 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard X: 356-422 (110.2 - 130.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Garchomp Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Serperior: 205-243 (70.4 - 83.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

220 Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 112-132 (31.3 - 36.9%) -- 77.9% chance to 3HKO
220 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 133-157 (37.2 - 43.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 220-259 (61.6 - 72.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 192-229 (53.7 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Mega Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Behold the Mega Godzilla. The core of Mega Zard X and Serperior will fall like Tokyo after Mega Tar is done with them. Stare in awe at the mind boggling uninvested bulk the Tyranitar possesses while it sets up for vicious rampage. Mega-Tar beats both of them 1v1. He can live a +1 Earthquake, dd up and Ohko in front of Zard X, or tank a unboosted Leaf storm to the face, dd up and rek Tokyo like everydays business.

+1 252 Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Tyranitar: 230-272 (67.4 - 79.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard X: 356-420 (119.8 - 141.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Tyranitar in Sand: 218-260 (63.9 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Obi Wan (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This evil genius has the ability to harness the power of the force and rip the core apart. It can tank one Leaf Storm from LO Serperior and proceed to KO with Sludge Wave, while being able to outspeed and KO Zard X. Ban this monster plz

252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus: 231-273 (72.4 - 85.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Scolipede @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake
- Protect / Baton Pass / Swords Dance

Although it cannot OHKO ZardX without SR, it's still a pretty big threat to the core. It easily outspeeds both mons in the core, even if Zard gets to +1. It easily OHKOs Serperior and can run Protect if it really wants to avoid taking a Glare. Even if Zard does Flare Blitz Scolipede, it comes very close to killing itself which makes it really easy to revenge kill with priority or anything faster.

252+ Atk Life Orb Scolipede Earthquake vs. 104 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard X: 237-281 (73.3 - 86.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Be careful of Dragon Claw which easily OHKOes. Yes, I know it is not listed on the set but that move is common on Zard-X

The workshop is designed to counter the specific core listed here. If the move isn't listed, we don't worry about countering it.
^ Yup

However when nominating a partner for the core, say it doesn't deal with Goodra but it does handle Heatran - then you could put Dragon Claw on Zard X. Adding a partner isn't the only way to deal with the current threats to the core, changing sets is another. I know I've been kinda hammering away at this for a while now (don't hate me ;_;) but flexibility is an important aspect in teambuilding. It is valuable to recognize when changing your sets benefits the overall functionality of the team.

Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Hurricane
- Roost
- Draco Meteor

Certainly quite the lackluster mon in OU right now but it is remarkably impressive how threatening it is to the core in question. Easily OHKOs Mega Charizard X and Serperior with draco meteor and hurricane respectively. Thankfully it is really uncommon but the moment this core finds one it could extremely pressure them. I take no responsibility if you find some noiverns whenever you are using this core, btw.

252 SpA Life Orb Noivern Draco Meteor vs. 104 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard X: 517-611 (160 - 189.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 96 SpD / 28 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Return

Altaria counters both Pokemon of this core, by virtue of its typing. It is able to set up on both the Pokemon with ease (+4 Charizard's Flare Blitz fails to OHKO) with Dragon Dance and heal up any status/damage sustained with Refresh and Roost, respectively.

Calcs:

EVs: 248 HP / 68 Def / 192 SpD
Calm Nature

- Flash Cannon / Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Defog

First of all I change Earthquake on Zard X to Dragon Claw. The reason for this is that the pokemon that can take on Flare Blitz + Dragon Claw are beaten by Empoleon. Think of Mega Altaria, Mega Diancie, Heatran and non-Superpower Tyranitar. Empoleon also gives the core both hazards removal which is great for Charizard and hazards itself with Stealth Rocks which can turn some 2HKOs in OHKOs. Empoleon is also a good switchin against Kingdra, Aerodactyl, Latios and Talonflame who are all big threats to the core.
68 Defense EVs so a Flare Blitz from +2 Talonflame will never OHKO after rocks damage.

Other calcs:
248 Atk Tough Claws Mega Aerodactyl Fire Fang vs. 248 HP / 68 Def Empoleon: 100-118 (26.9 - 31.8%) -- 0.9% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
