Can we stop it with all the obvious choices already?

Reserving Victini.

Victini @ Choice Band
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

Victini has no problem breaking this core, as both members are easily OHKO'd by a Banded V-Create.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Bullet Punch

Mega Metagross outspeeds both members and OHKOs them easily. Even though Mega Medicham has priority, both of those moves are resisted by Metagross and do pathetic damage. It should be pretty obvious on how little of a chance Sylveon stands against it. Metagross has to be mega evolved already, but once that happens the core falls before it. In a very shaky situation, if rolls aren't in your favor, Metagross can live a High Jump Kick from full, but that's normally not going to be an issue, especially if rocks are up. (After that Bullet Punch can KO Medicham from that range)

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 244-288 (93.4 - 110.3%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 606-714 (154.9 - 182.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Sorry Ciel.

Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 200 SpD / 60 Spe
Gentle Nature
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

Stallbreaker Talonflame walls Sylveon and obviously checks Mega Medicham with priority Brave Bird, though it can't safely switch into it.

0 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 16 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 248-294 (93.5 - 110.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Talonflame: 127-150 (35.3 - 41.7%) -- 85.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 208 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 154-183 (40.2 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Oh and sorry Recreant, posted at like the same time o.o

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Can't switch in safely against either mons but is a massive threat to both Pokemon, although it needs prior damage on Medicham but that isn't hard considering all the shit running around that punishes physical attackers.

252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 208-246 (79.6 - 94.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Iron Head vs. 208 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 517-611 (134.9 - 159.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

here we go

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Iron Tail
- U-turn
- Heat Wave

Pretty simple how this is a threat to the core. Now i know that iron tail torn-t Is not the biggest threat (or the most common lol) but this is a potential lure that can be run on torn-t for fairy weak teams/teams that want to bait in fairy types. With iron tail+hurricane torn can pretty much solo this core or at least threaten both members of this core every time it comes out. Iron tail is not a Ohko on sylveon but hurricane+iron tail does kill so after a bit of residual damage torn can ko sylveon. Another reason why this is nice is because sylveon can sort of switch into torn because of its already nice spD even when univested. Hurricane ohkos Mega medicham also so theres that. Didnt really think the last 2 slots on torn were really needed so i just put Heat wave and u-turn.

Behold one of the sturdiest Pokémon of the OU competitive metagame!

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

Any attack thrown by Mega Medicham does laughable damage to Slowbro, giving it the chance to set up with Calm Mind. Once it manages to set up, Mega Slowbro can reliably 2HKO Mega Medicham and Sylveon with Psyshock (or Scald in the case of Medicham, potentially burning it). However, it can't switch in directly on Sylveon unless it is locked on HP Fire.

Vs. Mega Medicham
252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 80+ Def Mega Slowbro: 100-118 (25.3 - 29.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0 SpA Mega Slowbro Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Medicham: 124-147 (47.5 - 56.3%) -- 84% chance to 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Slowbro Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Medicham: 186-219 (71.2 - 83.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Vs. Sylveon
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 176 SpD Mega Slowbro: 274-324 (69.5 - 82.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. +1 252 HP / 176 SpD Mega Slowbro: 184-217 (46.7 - 55%) -- 69.1% chance to 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Slowbro Psyshock vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 229-271 (58.5 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Wobbuffet @ Custap Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 52 HP / 232 Def / 224 SpD
Bold Nature
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Destiny Bond

This Wobb can take a hit from either member of the core and smack them with mirror coat/counter for sylveon and medi respectively, and it can get a guaranteed kill vs either member of the core if its HP drops below 25% and it can destiny bond the opponent since they can't switch out, and it can encore them into weaker moves like shadow ball or bullet punch, paving way for a teammate to setup.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 52 HP / 224 SpD Wobbuffet: 318-375 (59.5 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Sylveon Shadow Ball vs. 52 HP / 224 SpD Wobbuffet: 290-342 (54.3 - 64%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Scolipede @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Megahorn
- Poison Jab
- Aqua Tail
- Protect

While it can't really switch in, Scolipede outspeeds both Sylveon and Medicham after a Speed Boost and can OHKO them both with Poison Jab and Megahorn respectively. Scolipede also doesn't need to worry about taking Fake Out + BP since it can just protect on the Fake Out turn.

252+ Atk Life Orb Scolipede Megahorn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 266-316 (101.9 - 121%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Scolipede Poison Jab vs. 208 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 439-523 (114.6 - 136.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Scolipede: 80-95 (30.8 - 36.6%) -- 68.3% chance to 3HKO

Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite / Knock Off / U-Turn

Able to eat one HJK and threat with dual stab next turn, also have the ability to set up on choice lock Sylveon even switch into a predicted Hyper Voice, i leave a few calcs here:
+2 44 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bug Bite vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 325-384 (124.5 - 147.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Mega Scizor: 237-280 (69 - 81.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 44 Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Medicham: 217-256 (83.1 - 98%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Mega Scizor: 115-136 (33.5 - 39.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Reserving Karxrida's love interest, Bisharp.

Bisharp @ BlackGlasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit

Bisharp is a really cool partner for this core. It can take out Ghost types such as Gengar, Bulky Psychic types such as Slowbro and Mega Metagross with a powerful STAB Sucker Punch for Medicham. It also beats major threats to the core such as Tornadus-T with a combo of Knock Off + Sucker Punch, Wobbuffet, which can be weakened by Knock Off in order for Sylveon or Mega-Medi to pick it off.

Lifted (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off / Superpower
- U-turn

Scarf Landorus-T not only provides a bit of Speed control for this core, but it appreciates Medicham's ability to completely break Ferrothorn and just blow back walls in general, while Sylveon spams Hyper Voice against Mega Sableye Slowbro, and TankChomp. In return, Landorus-T provides U-turn support, which allows both Medicham and Sylveon to come in safer, and Intimidate softens physical blows from the likes of Talonflame, Mega Scizor, and Mega Pinsir. It can't properly handle Bisharp, however.

Klefki @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Foul Play
- Spikes
- Magnet Rise

Klefki gives the team valuable Spikes Support as well as Speed Control, considering both of them aren't extremely fast. Spikes help them Wallbreak easier through chip damage.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- U-turn

Scarf Hydreigon is a nice partner for this core because it can easily outspeed the opponent that attempt to prey on their low Speed and then OHKO them with its STAB or coverage moves. For example, Flamethrower OHKOes Mega Scizor and Bisharp, Dark Pulse OHKOes Gengar, Victini and Mega Metagross while Draco Meteor deals huge damage to neutral targets. It is also able to deal huge damage to Mew, Wobuffet and Reuniclus, which are annoying for this core. U-Turn is used in the final slot for momentum. Unfortunately, Hydreigon stacks a Fairy and Talonflame weakness.

edit: shoot, talon was already posted before. i'll think of something later.

Completely forgot it's partners time. Here goes.

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Smogbird also makes a good partner for our core here, helping Sylveon with Steel-types and Medicham with wearing down things like Slowbro. Also, it benefits from both because Medicham can handle Rock-types and Sylveon can wear down phys. walls. Not much to say here.

Standard stallbreaker gothitelle makes a perfect partner for the duo. While the two have brilliant offensive synergy, that is not enough to break past standard stall, as sabeleye is a hard switchin to medicham, and chansey (and somewhat amoongus and maybe skarm) has no issues taking on sylveonsylveon, especially if it is hit with an untimely knock off. Gothitelle removes one (or more) of these troublesome elements from the game, allowing you to spam hyper voice to your heart's content, eventually allowing medicham to clean up if all goes well.

Problems with ghosts, psychokinetic phenomena and... birds? No disinfestation teams needed! You can rely on...

Raikou @ Assault Vest
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Ball

This mighty saber-toothed tiger can take care of various speedy threats that could be problematic for this duo, as well as being able to pivot and offer to its teammates momentum to punch holes on the opposing team, which also pairs well with Sylveon's Baton Pass. Among the Pokémon it can check there are Gengar, Talonflame, Tornadus-T, Mega Pinsir and Slowbro. In exchange, Mega Medicham can demolish Mega Venusaur, Tyranitar, Chansey and various special walls, while Sylveon can remove the Lati and some troublesome guys like Ferrothorn with its HP Fire.

VS. Checks
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 134-160 (41.7 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Raikou Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 204-240 (78.7 - 92.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0- Atk Tornadus-T Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou: 79-94 (24.6 - 29.2%) -- 99.9% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Raikou Thunderbolt vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 198-234 (59.6 - 70.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Zen Headbutt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou: 238-282 (74.1 - 87.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Raikou Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mega Metagross: 148-176 (49.1 - 58.4%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO

Kinda risky, but if Mega Metagross has prior damage, Raikou can outspeed and 2HKO it.

0+ Atk Choice Band Talonflame Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou: 226-267 (70.4 - 83.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Raikou Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Talonflame: 288-338 (80.2 - 94.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hey I appreciate the contribution but you're supposed to post the set. When I update with partners (;_; forever sorry guys) I can't link a post that doesn't have the set since this is supposed to be helpful for beginners.

Anyway the core this week is dumb standard but we had no cores with Latios so far.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Defog

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Taunt
- Toxic

Basic SpDef Tran covers a good number of the steel and fairy type checks to Latios such as Scizor, Ferrothorn, Clefable, Skarmory and Klefki. In return Latios can switch into the water, ground and fighting type attacks aimed at Heatran, specifically from things like Keldeo, Manaphy and Hippowdon. They also form a hazard setter and removal core which most teams want.

Discuss threats

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 24 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Calm Mind / Taunt

Gardevoir switches into both mons of this core pretty easily as 24 Def allows it to avoid the 2HKO from Latios's Psyshock and the worst it has to fear from Heatran is Toxic and then it OHKOs Latios and 2HKOs Heatran

232 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Latios: 416-492 (138.2 - 163.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
232 SpA Mega Gardevoir Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 192+ SpD Heatran: 226-266 (58.7 - 69%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 24 Def Mega Gardevoir: 116-136 (41.8 - 49%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gardevoir: 84-100 (30.3 - 36.1%) -- 46.5% chance to 3HKO

Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Rain Dance
- Rest

Manaphy uses Heatran as setup fodder, not caring for burns or chip damage since it has Rain Dance + Hydration. When it uses Calm Mind once it's relatively safe against Latios if it doesn't have any chip damage

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. +1 240 HP / 0 SpD Manaphy: 185-218 (46.1 - 54.3%) -- 4.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. +1 240 HP / 0 SpD Manaphy in Rain: 18-21 (4.4 - 5.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

0 SpA Manaphy Scald vs. 248 HP / 192+ SpD Heatran in Rain: 188-224 (48.8 - 58.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

+6 0 SpA Manaphy Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Latios in Rain: 237-279 (79.2 - 93.3%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Recovery (Lopunny) @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch / Power-Up Punch

Yeah, pretty obvious. Lopunny easily outspeeds both members of the core after Mega evolution and can Fake Out Latios to get a safe Mega, which also puts it into range of Return rolls after Stealth Rock or Life Orb recoil for the most part. If you get crazy low rolls and Latios has no prior damage on it, it's going to need like 3% damage off on it, but the chances of you missing the KO are pretty slim.
Oh yeah and High Jump Kick just obliterates Heatran and it doesn't have Protect to scout.
252 Atk Mega Lopunny Return vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 208-246 (69.5 - 82.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Mega Lopunny Fake Out vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 82-97 (27.4 - 32.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

So yeah 69.5 + 27.4 = 96.9, if you miss that roll I think you should fix your karma
After Rocks it will always KO anyways.

252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 420-494 (109 - 128.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Sharpedo cause I'm not standard.

Sharpedo @ Sharpedoite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 224 Atk / 32 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Protect
- Crunch
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Fang

Mega Sharpedo is a pretty underrated Pokemon in general, but a threat nonetheless. It can Protect once in regular form to make it faster than Latios & OHKO it with Strong Jaw Crunch, while Heatran is 2HKO'd by Crunch or Hydro Pump.

252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gyarados: 220-261 (66.4 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

After a DD both of this guys drop in HKO, also without even a DD Mega-Alt can provide HKO to both mons, and take a Lava Plume or psyshock with ease bar burn by Lava plume ofc.
