Eevee [Sparky] (M)[/B]
Sparky is a loyal and energetic companion to Crystaline. Normally mild mannered, he is very defensive of his Trainer and friend Crystaline.
Modest Nature (+1 Spa -1Att)

Normal Type : Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:
Run Away:

Type: Passive

This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. A Pokemon can still absorb Toxic Spikes if it has Run Away and is Poison-typed. Adaptability:

Type: Passive

The moves that match this Pokemon’s type have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2).

Anticipation: (DW Locked)

Type: Passive

This Pokemon is better at sensing dangerous attacks, and reduced the Base Attack Power from super-effective attacks, Selfdestruct, and Explosion by two (2).

CupraFront_zpsf60cdde0.png

Cupra [Lyastra] (F)
Nature: Gentle (+1 SpD, -1 Def)

Type:
Bug:
Bug STAB; more mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gains one extra attack on multi-hit moves, with a cap of five (5).
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

Shield Dust:
(Passive) This Pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that prevents opponents secondary effects from taking place (eg burn from Flamethrower). It does not block direct status moves (such as Thunder Wave.)
Keen Eye: (Passive) This Pokemon has extremely good vision and cannot have its accuracy lowered by an opponent through any means (including accuracy lowering attacks, Smogs, Hazes, Fog, etc.). Its attacks are still affected by an opponent’s evasion and the Pokemon's own accuracy.
Illusion (DW): (Passive) Whenever you send this Pokemon out, it can feign the appearance of another member on your squad. If this Pokemon is damaged by a direct attack, the Illusion will cease at the end of the round. Direct damage is any attack that does damage to the Pokemon's HP. Attacks that are evaded, blocked via Protect, or damage a Substitute are not considered direct damage. It will retain the typing and moveset of the Pokemon with Illusion. [Usage Note: PM the ref if you are sending out a Pokemon with Illusion with the info on said Pokemon and one of your squad members in a Switch=KO battle. Normalize: (Toggle) This Pokemon has mastered Normal-type attacks and can change any attack type to have a Normal energy signature. All attacks used by the Pokemon are considered Normal-type attacks, although they retain the same status-inducing and other properties. The Pokemon's Normal-type attacks will have four (4) more Base Attack Power. When toggled, there is no effect.
Wonder Skin (DW): (Passive) The Pokemon's skin has an agent that heavily resists attempts to change its composition. It changes the accuracy of all non-damaging attacks to 50% before applying any other modifiers.

Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:

Sheer Force: (Toggle) No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect.
Hustle (DW): (Toggle) No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon puts immense force and speed into its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.

♫First Battle

ladfinal.png

Goooooooood evening, ladies and gentlemen! Ben Lad here, playing referee tonight -

ricol.png

You sure are chipper tonight, Boss. Trying to impress the new guy? *Pushes a button on a small speaker box, which emits a laugh track*

ladfinal.png

*ahem*And the little smartass next to me is my buddy, Rico.

ricol.png

Called it.

ladfinal.png

Joking aside, we do have new blood here tonight - Say hello to Crystaline, entering the arena with his trio of Eevees! Tonight's battle at ASB Arena pits him against veteran Maxim in a freshmon match. Max might have experience on his side, but fortune tends to be a fickle mistress...

ricol.png

She also tends to favor the one with the most goats to burn. *Laugh track again*

ladfinal.png

Line opens up with the regular Eevee called Glade, while Maxim starts out with his Skitty, Top Cat. Glade gets the first move, Digging underground to avoid Top Cat's attempts to render his nemesis Simple, and striking at an opportune moment.

ricol.png

Normally a Skitty would use his cute charms to lower his foe's guard in response, but that tends to fall flat in a sausage fest. *Another laugh track*

ladfinal.png

Which is why Top Cat tries ambushing his foe, slapping the air in front of Glade and Faking him Out! It works out, and the Eevee is unable to do anything but Dig again, albeit quickly enough to evade the Skitty's Wild Charge and ambush him from below!

Well, the chances are still pretty even. Glade has the health advantage, but it's slight, and Top Cat still has more energy. Who will break this balance? Find out after the break!

ricol.png

And in the meantime, blow all your money on the useless crap our sponsors are selling! *Yet another laugh track*

ladfinal.png

...Where'd you get that, anyway?

ricol.png

Dr. Verylongname's lab. You remember, right, Boss? When those guys got stuck in Seth's mind?

ladfinal.png

Oh right...really? I'm surprised it didn't blow up the moment you-

Er...right. Anyway, Glade starts the round off by gathering a bunch of dirt and rocks and stuff to build a crude Substitute, which ends up taking the brunt of Top Cat's Singing...ugh. God, that Skitty is awful.

ladfinal.png

Worse than Lady Gaga, even.

ricol.png

...Who?

ladfinal.png

Never mind. Taking advantage of his new dummy, Line's Eevee tries to Take Top Cat Down again, doing a small modicum of damage. That sub won't protect against the recoil, though. Realizing that he's gotta get rid of that fake Eevee, Maxim's Skitty Digs a hole underneath to try and take it out of the picture. Guess that substitute is a little more fragile than I thought, since it took some serious damage.

ricol.png

No seriously, who the hell is Lady Gaga?

ladfinal.png

Later, Rico. Since the dummy's still intact, Glade lets out a big Yawn to try and lull Top Cat to sleep. Not sleeping, per se, but he is a bit drowsy...but not drowsy enough that he can't hide in the shadows and score a Faint Attack that breaks the substitute once and for all!

Top Cat looks like he's ready to nod off at any moment, but the health advantage is still quite clear. Can Line use this opportunity to turn his fortune around? Stay tuned!

ladfinal.png

Welp, guess I'll start the round without him. Line sends out his next Eevee - a yellowish one called Sparky - and Top Cat starts the round by attempting to Fake him Out...but thanks to the attack's mechanics, Sparky sees right through it, and attacks him with Hidden Power! Fake Out still did a fair bit of damage, though, so Top Cat does it again...only to faint from exhaustion!
