Ashtonishingly, Mincinno changes up his tactics, opting to go for a more solid full-body tackle as opposed to the high-rollin' slaps. He charges into Grubbin, and is greeted by a splatter of mud onto his face, blinding his vision. Grubbin takes advantage of his opponent's stumbling around to tighten his body and focus his energy, and takes the second tackle. Mincinno quickly goes in for a third tackle, but is shocked by the rigidity of Grubbin's carapace as he takes the blow. Grubbin braces himself even further, praying for the floofy rodent to make a mistake when relying on his blinded vision. It seems to be the only thing keeping Grubbin alive at this point: pure hope.
But we've all seen greater victories built on little more than hope. Perhaps Grubbin will get lucky and cripple his opponent for his next teammate to clean up.

Mincinno starts off fast once more, attempting to dive towards Grubbin and quickly dart away! But what's this! Mincinno missed Grubbin, and lands face-first right in front of the maggot! Grubbin slams his charged pincers into Mincinno, but Mincinno swiftly recovers and overcomes the mud in his eyes to dive once more at the weakened Grubbin, darting away so swiftly that the mud peels off his face from the sheer force. As Grubbin settles onto the floor and is recalled by a very familiar flash, Mincinno stands to face his next opponent. Fearlessly.

Mincinno hesitates not! He jumps foward, aqua-laced tail first, at the new flash as it materializes into his next opponent: Cubone. Cubone responds immediately by jamming his bone club into the soft earth, and sending vibrations through it to cause a small tremor, knocking Mincinno back. Mincinno, slightly worried by the strength of his opponent, braces his whole body for impact, and, during his preparations, he's hit twice by Cubone's swirling club. Now braced, both physically and mentally, Mincinno dives tail-first at Cubone once more, this time opting to smack him around repeatedly instead of with one aquatic smack. Cubone reads his opponent's body, and realizes that his attacks won't affect Mincinno's braced muscles. So Cubone focuses himself on Mincinno's weak points, so as to exploit them in the future. As Mincinno's muscles relax, he realizes that his very next move will be his last, and that he has to make it count.
