In the end, it ended up with a tie between CorruptedOmega7 and thetalkingtree ft. n10sit. However, I'm gonna put my vote on thetalkingtree's team, making the two this week's winners, congrats!

This week, we're having Mega Aerodactyl - DUU Edition! Instead of DOU, this time we're building around a specified Pokemon in DUU (without Mega Charizard X). We're also building around Mega Aerodactyl, which serves well as a check to the numerous Fire- and Flying-types in the metagame and is a pretty strong fast attacker.

Deadline is on Saturday GMT Noon!

This team is a team that is built around Mega-Aerodactyl, as it is arguably the best mega in the tier (behind maybe Metagross) due to its ability to be a great fire and flying check. I put on Gastrodon on the team for its ability to beat things like Diancie, Electrics, and Grounds thanks to Storm Drain and its awesome typing. Max SpA means it can hit hard against most threats. Victini is the most powerful Fire right now and is a great offensive breaker while also checking Grasses and Ice types better than Aero does. I put on Hitmontop since I wanted a mon that gave me Intimidate, protect breaking, Fake Out, and a steel check. Darkrai is a psychic and ghost check while SBombing Diancie. Its also a good TR check thanks to taunt. The Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell and a great set-up sweeper due to its cool bulk and good speed tier.

I've had variants of this team kicking around in my teambuilder from forever ago, all centered around the core of Manaphy, Tangela, Rotom-Heat, and Mew. It's basically bunnies for DUU (Azumarill=Manaphy, Tangela=Amoonguss, Rotom-Heat=Heatran, and Mew is Mew), but I explain the core in more detail here. The last two slots I wanted a mega and a Liepard check. I decided Aero because it helps Manaphy set up with Sky Drop support and Wide Guard blocks stupid ladder Discharge teams or other spread moves such as Rock Slide. I decided Virizion for my last mon kind of at a whim, since I really needed a fast Quick Guard user to shut down Liepard but at the same time I already had Tangela for a bulky Grass-type. Since no better option seemed to jump out at me, I just decided to go with it.

I used Tangela before it was cool :pimp:

As most of my Aerodactyl-based teams do, this team became a bit more HO than I personally prefer, but that certainly doesn't mean it doesn't perform well. Obviously number one is Aero-mega, and I decided to go with aerial ace / rock slide / aqua tail because the flying and rock coverage is super helfpul vs. Tangela and the plethora of fire type is UU, and aqua tail helps to take down diancie, though it does not kill it. Next I added Infernape because 1. I need a way to deal with genesect and 2. It complements Aerodactly well, helping it to stop TR setters withfake out and take down any steel types in Aero's way. The ev set I used guarantees the ohko on 248 hp / 232 sp def Tangela with fire blast with max speed and the rest dumped into attack. Next I added Tangela because look at those fucking cute af shoes!! You can't say no to that shit! Also it may or may not be extremely effective at redirecting water type moves away from Infernape / Aero. From there I went with Deoxys-Attack because it provides some priority attacking for the team, as well as hits everything and its mother like a truck with psycho boost. It also has taunt to help keep down many of the popular TR setters. Hoopa-C is the end piece to this obviously amazing team, and it rounds the team off pretty well. It's a nice little soft check to many things, including other Hoopas, which this team does not like. It also, once again, helps to beat TR setters because fuck TR that's for plebs.

I used Mega Aero because we are forced. Manaphy is a great set up sweeper and checks rock types. Victini is another pixie and checks steel types. tangela redirects water moves for squirrel + mega aero and sleeps things. liepard checks trick room with encore and fake out and psychic and ghost types with knock off. hariyama for another steel and trick room check along with providing fake out. victini w/ taunt is cool because i was going to use infernape to help check tr but i like victini more so i used that.

it's good i swear

Seems like everyone's posted M-Aero+Manaphy and Manaphy is bad, so I tried to use Slurpuff as the setup mon instead. Slurpuff and M-Aero have great synergy, with Stone edge maero outspeeding and getting the OHKO on all the fires slurpuff can't handle. Also allows M-Aero to do far more damage compared to its normal moveset, and allows it to net some nice OHKOs and 2hkos. Sky drop is there to support Slurpuff and create nice 1v1 situations for roserade/infernape, and iron head gets the surprise ohko on TR diancie. I'd originally started the team with tangela as the redirector, but felt these three were too M-Stoise weak, so I switched over to blastoise and added S-tier grass type BIG FLOWER. The rest of the team filled holes, with infernape providing fake out and a second tangela/genesect check, and scarf krook being the fast mode of the team and checking stuff like victini, latias, etc.

Description
So I looked through the list of set up sweepers available and I noticed that no one was really doing Volcarona which is one of the better mons in the tier. It has great stab and giga drain coverage and pairs up pretty well with Mega Aero. So I started with that core first. Then I chose tangela as a main trick room check and another way to deal with waters. Blastoise is just more misdirection + support moves and also completing a FWG core which is pretty nice. Hariyama just felt like a good mon that also helped with misdirection and dealing tons of damage while also knocking off things such as Tangela eviolite to weaken mons for the Volcarona sweep. Finally I chose genesect because i felt my team was decently weak to Diancie and wanted a solid way to deal with it.

With a solid lead in votes, Nido-Rus takes the week, congrats!

This week, we're having Roserade - DUU Edition! According to Nido-Rus, Roserade has a strong matchup against Bulky Offense and Trick Room builds. It has good matchups in the metagame as shown by its ability OHKO redirectors (Tangela, Blastoise) and two common Mege formes in Mega Abomasnow and Mega Blastoise. It can also help a team's Trick Room matchup thanks to being able to Sleep Powder non-Safety Goggles setters. Its frailty and middling Speed hold it back however, making it a liability against more offensive buildings such as Hyper Offense.

Deadline is on Satudrday GMT noon!

So big flower is the starting point on this team and LO attacker with Sleep is a dope set so we went with that. Timid so that we outspeed things in TW and we still have a roll to kill m-aero with storm. Rhyperior has p-good typing synergy with Roserade as it hits flying types and fire types that generally beat big flower. Next was CrawDon which provides a semi-decent trick room check as well as stopping things like volcarona and victini from getting out of hand. Mega Blaze rounds out a SLICK FWG core and prevents us from forfeiting to genesect completely. 3 Atk because we still weak to fires on this team and edge helps with that. Clefable redirects shit and sits there to be annoying and t-wave things, providing useful speed control and also a dragon check. Lastly we have Latias which provides tailwind support which greatly help Rhyperior(which is fast) and Crawdaunt as well as Rose with their sub-par speed. Also it drops dracos and psyshocks things which is p nice.
