Final Action:

Weak and barely standing, Riolu faces his oncoming opponent and spits blood onto the floor nearby his feet. A grin plays across his features, knowing exactly what is coming. The sandstorm whisks across his form, whipping his tail and ears about. He opens his arms to his opponent and accepts his fate.

With neither words nor rue, Syclar executes a single lightning-fast action. Tippy used Ice Shard! Riolu takes 12 damage!

The blades of ice cut deep, and Riolu's eyes close. With his arms still wide and his grin still there, he falls backwards in the sand, knocked out by the grievous strike. Riolu fainted! Tippy gains 1 KO counter!

Tippy was buffeted by the sandstorm! Tippy takes 2 damage.

Syclar stands there in the sand, knowing that his job—while trivial in some respects—was critical to the success of his master. He nods at the valiant Riolu as their trainers shake hands and return their Pokemon to their Poke Balls.
