=====ROUND 8=====

Sunset Colosseum
"Oh, Colossoil's back! That's 'Frykt'ing awsome!"
[I'VE EVOLVED TO TELL YOU TO STOP.]
"Aww, don't be that way..."
With how quickly the last round ended, let's hope this one is a little bit more substantial. We all want to watch this battle, right? Anyway, Frykt the Colossoil comes back onto the stage, his drill-like horn catching the sunset to create a frightening silhouette. And Bagheera should be frightened, too! This whale is a powerhouse.

We all saw it coming, but Bagheera didn't have a clue; Fake Out slams into the cat-like Pokemon with astounding force. With Liepard's overall low vitality, this could end rather quickly. Worse yet, he flinches and can't react! Not to mention the damage from his poison continues to build...

With Fake Out out of the way, Bagheera has a clean shot. He prepares his own attack, charging forward, but--ouch! A Sucker Punch out of nowhere! The type matchup might be a bad one for Frykt, but his sheer muscle was able to finish the job, sending Bagheera tumbling to the ground.

Another quick round, but Bagheera wasn't able to get even a lick of damage off. A small energy expenditure for what could be a huge swing of tempo. But, Akela still has Dahlia in the wings and one more Pokemon up his sleeve.

=====ROUND 9=====

Sunset Colosseum
"And Dahlia returns as well! Looks like we're back to square one."
[I FONDLY REMEMBER ROUND ONE. MY PROCESSORS WERE BURNING WITH AN INTENSE LOVE FOR BATTLE.]
"Actually, your processors were burning because you were overheating and shutting down."
[SEMANTICS...]
Now that Dahlia is back, it looks like we're starting this battle all over again! Except this time around, Dahlia's physical condition is not so good. However, we're all fully aware of the damage she's capable of doing. Can she come through?

Well, to start the round, Dahlia Endures, gathering energy and focus to prevent herself from fainting this round. No matter how angry Frykt gets, he's not putting Dahlia down this round! Speaking of Frykt, he tries Fake Out again, and while it hits critically, it doesn't flinch, for two reasons: one, because he acted second, and two, because Fake Out can't flinch again until he leaves and re-enters the battle. So, really, it just does a bit of damage.

Thanks to her Sun Stone and her Chlorophyll ability, Dahlia is blazing fast, and her Grass Knot attack trips Frykt and sends him crashing down! Tripping something of that size and speed is bound to hurt! Enraged, he responds with a Rock Tomb--does this look familiar to anyone else? It sure does to me. Now that Dahlia's Speed is lowered, the Colossoil gains the advantage in this speed-heavy matchup.

Frykt once again abuses this advantage, just like he did before, by bouncing high up into the air. But, Akela expected this, not only with Endure from earlier, but also by having Dahlia set up a Light Screen to protect Akela's team from special attacks. When Frykt's Bounce comes back down, it delivers a huge impact, but Dahlia holds on with Endure. She's still kicking, folks!

With less speed, 1 HP, and 1 EN, you'd think Dahlia has no chance. But, who knows? There have been plenty of curve balls thrown in this battle, what's a few more?

=====ROUND 11=====

Sunset Colosseum
"There sure are a lot of rounds cut short in this battle..."
[DO YOU THINK THIS ONE WILL BE, AS WELL?]
"I don't think you understand how much damage Low Kick does."
At last, Akela's last Pokemon, Gigan the Kabutops, enters the field! What a ferocious looking Pokemon...now that I think about it, Colossoil's size and Kabutops' quickness makes a pretty good kaiju battle...anyway, let's get started!

With his signature item, the Dome Fossil, Gigan reaches great speed, becoming a relative blur to us in the audience as he dives underneath the behemoth Frykt to deliver a Low Kick! The attack trips the Colossoil (see a pattern here, folks?) and sends him down to earth, but for good this time.

An impressive start for Akela's last Pokemon, but Exclaimer still has two more! Can Akela pull this back, or can one of Exclaimer's remaining Pokemon put bury the fossil back underground?

=====ROUND 12=====

Sunset Colosseum
"I'll be taking over from here."
"It has been quite a while, hasn't it, sir?"
"Unfortunately, we won't have long. This battle is drawing swiftly to a close."
"What a threatening pair of Pokemon. How gruesome."
Much time has passed since this battle's beginning, but the sun has yet to move at all. Perhaps the sun will finally set once this skirmish concludes. Nevertheless, Gigan the Kabutops stands, not quite satisfied after taking down Exclaimer's Colossoil, and eyes his new opponent, Aeroborus the Dragonite. Both Pokemon are strong attackers with average bulk; it's going to come down to speed and luck to close out this matchup.

Gigan's coverage is definitely superior, as an Ice Beam tears through the air and strikes Aeroborus clean on one of her wings. But, her Multiscale ability prevents a large amount of the damage. Half of it, to be exact. Aeroborus descends from the sky and slams into the ground feet-first creating an Earthquake that rips apart the ground of the stadium. How odd that seismic attacks are only being used now, despite a Colossoil fighting prior to this round.

Gigan coalesces more frigid air into a Blizzard attack, but the particles seem to be a bit too wide-spread--Aeroborus avoided the attack fairly easily. Using powerful spread-type moves on a single (and, might I add, flying) target has its disadvantages sometimes. Aeroborus has a much easier time, picking off Gigan with a Thunder attack that strikes from the skies with blinding speed. Luckily, the paralysis didn't kick in, but that was a large amount of damage that Gigan didn't want to take.

A repeat of earlier without much variance; another Ice Beam, another Earthquake. Due to Aeroborus' Expert Belt and Multiscale, she's dealing much more damage while taking less. Gigan is going to need to strike much, much harder if he expects to win.

"Hey, no fair! You can't just come in and referee the final rounds! I was here first!"
"You weren't being quick enough."
"Says the one who randomly disappeared for six months...twice."

After an exhausting ordeal between these two Trainers and an extraordinary amount of time, this battle finally comes to a close. Gigan is clearly cornered, but akela has taken the honorable path and aims to do as much damage as possible before the inevitable occurs.

As a last-ditch effort, Gigan curls its head into its spiny exoskeleton, boosting his Defense stat in preparation for an incoming attack. Though the Defense boost softened the blow of Aeroborus' Earthquake, it wasn't enough. Gigan falls, KO'd.

EDIT: Hogwarts grading system, bright as day. First battle linked here.

Punctuality: Your first reffing had 2 rounds out of DQ, although I would cut some slack as it was a 36-hour. Same goes for this reffing - 48-hour, I am also slow, etc. etc. I definitely would advise that you reff stuff with 3-day DQ in the future or keep a rein in on your workload though. A
Mechanics: You understand what happens pretty well. Mowtom corrected some minor stuff in the first reffing, but your later performance (in this one) did enough to show that you have a solid grasp. E
Formatting: You tracked your speed orders beforehand, split paragraphs between individual mons' actions, and makes a 12-action hide tag seem coherent enough, despite my personal tick at upper- and lowercases. O
Flavour: Trainer sprites, side stories, sass and explanation prose. My only qualm is that you're still too SFW. E

Overall results said:

Congratulations Iron Caliber! You're a wizard registered referee now!

Iron Caliber: May reff any Tower battles, Tournaments, and any RP approved by the respective manager.
ZhengTann: 7 [1st reffing] + 16 [2nd reffing] + 3 [tutoring bonus] - 5 [slow] = 21 UC
An FYI to deadfox081. And Birkal.

Question, though. This tutoring took three months. Do I still have to wait one more to do a 202?

Also I'm so embarrassed about that old battle. Yikes.
