Well, I'm going to be a bit blunt. Battling is relatively new to me, actually, I started playing netbattle around January-February, and stopped, then tried to reg on the forums. Pokemon is still difficult for me, I try to compete with more experienced players, and sometimes I win and most of the time I don't. But reading, actually understanding, what Smogon has to say is really what I think divides my newbie experience with other newbies.

I don't know, I have a long way to go, but I'm fighting my way through it. But I'm sure anyone can get the hang of pokemon, especially at a competitive level, with intelligence and a bit of hard work.
