Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Once more a switch happen and Its_A_Random is once again in a not-that-awesome situation.
As this is probably a bad thing, he ordered his skarmory to endure the hits with roost, blow tomohawk away by force with whirlwind and set up for drapion with agility.
Now it is Skarmory vs Drapion and no switch will happen now. Now Let's see if IAR can seize that opportunity...or if Elevator Music will let him do so.
DATA:
PRE-ACTION!
Skarmory lost 12hp due to Stealth Rocks
ACTION 1!
Tomohawk used Reflect! (-10en)
Skarmory used WhirlWind! (-7en)
Tomohawk is to be swoooped awaaay
Sturdy needs to be factored in. Anyhow... I am also pretty sure being in the invulnerable stages of an EDM does not block the hazard clearing effects of Defog...
Taunt > Defog > Roost
IF (Protective/Evasive Move) is used successfully, THEN use Roost on the first instance, Chill on the second instance, pushing actions back. IF Drapion is in the invulnerable stages of Dig when you act, THEN use Defog on the first instance, Chill on the second instance.
With a witty combo, Elevator Music managed to escape from a tough situation.
DATA:
ACTION 1!
Skarmory used Taunt! (-10en)
Drapion is taunted!
Drapion used Snarl + Taunt! (-21.5en)
Hit: 83 (yes)
Crit: 11 (no)
Damage: (6+3-4.5)*0.67= 3hp
Skarmory is taunted!
NOTE: Asked twice on IRC and got the thumbs up both times, so yeah...
IF (Fly is used) THEN (use Reflect on the first instance, and Hurricane on all future instances)
IF (Sky Attack is used in a combination) THEN (use Substitute (15 HP))
When in doubt: Fire in the hole!!! Maybe this might give me a chance...
Sky Attack > Sky Attack > Brave Bird + Brave Bird combo
IF it turns out that STAB EN reduction is not factored into the base cost (meaning Skarmory would not be able to afford BEC), THEN use a Brave Bird + Drill Peck combo A3.
With the usual stalling game being ruined by a unexpected combo, Its_A_Random orders Skarmory to do something highly....unexpected. To Attack. Viciously.
While Skarmory did faint in the process, it did deal a crapload of damage to Tomohawk, leaving it almost defeated. Emphasis on "almost".
Now it is up to Mr. Mime to bring home the bacon. Will it be able to do so? Let's see.
Skarmory used Brave Bird + Brave Bird! (-37.5en)
BEC: 9+13-1= 21en (hey look exactly what it has left, so it can be done).
Crit: 16 (no)
Damage: (14*2.25+3)*1.5= 51.75hp
Psychic > Psyshock > Psychic
IF Roost is issued, AND you are not Taunted, THEN use Encore on the second instance, AND use Chill the next action (after Encore). IF Tomohawk has Double Team clones up when you act, THEN use Shock Wave that action.
Back comes Genie and in goes stealth rocks. Also it is poisoned.
The clock is ticking for its_a_random and elevator music decided to put salt at the wound and stalled Genie even further through the usage of healing moves, ending with a taunt that pissed Mr. Mime off.
Tomohawk is gone regardless, but the clock continues to tick, and it doesn't seem that Genie will calm down soon. While Mr. Mime is a mischievous mon, this seems kinda bleak.
Not beyond hope, though. *fingers crossed*

After storing a crap load of energy, Mr. Mime deliver a final blow with Bide, with intense power.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough to defeat Drapion, who proceeded to finish off his opponent with crunch, giving Elevator Music the win in this match and tournament!
A suitable end for great players! They displayed some great abilities defeating player after player (with little to no DQs :D), let's give them a round of applause!
...and continue to ddo so while I steal this azelf <_<;. Oh I can't? Drat.
Regardless congratulations to both.

I would like to take this moment to congratulate Elevator Music on his tournament win. It was a really good game and I thought the coin flip to start the match went my way at first but I was really dead wrong. I guess my problem this match was how passive I was and my inability to remove hazards though I had my chances. Nevertheless I guess being the runner-up was an achievement in itself. But yeah Elevator Music you were clearly the better battler and thoroughly deserve the victory more than I did. Enjoy your legend!
Thanks Frosty for taking the time to ref the final, the fastest round of this marathon tournament that lasted so long... Much appreciated.
Thanks to EspyOwner / Elevator Music for heading this tournament, all the people who participated, all the people who refereed the matches, all the people who created the Factory Pokémon and anyone else who made this tournament possible. And of course, congratulations to everyone who came top three!
I guess this means I am now motivated more than ever to win the Best of Best tournament following my recent near misses hahaha.
Excellent game IAR, it was a great match and I was pretty tense throughout the whole thing. I really didn't think I'd be able to take that dang Skarmory down >_< I definitely underestimated it! Best of luck in BoB. You had tough matches to get here and you're a top tier battler, so I'm sure you'll do great.
I'd like to echo IAR's thanks: Thanks to all the people who have stuck through this dang tournament. I can't believe its been over a year since it started (though actually, I kinda can... it definitely seemed like it would never end a some points). Thanks to the refs, you guys are the lifeblood of ASB. Big thanks to Frosty and akela for reffing the finals matches, as well as the rest of the work you did over the course of the tournament.
