"Find All Posts by _____"

As of right now, this function shows a member's last 100 posts and that's it. I know other forums just go ahead and display every single post. Would that be possible here?

I'm looking for particular posts in my backlog from various years, but the advanced search doesn't let me choose a timeframe so I can only find the very first and very last posts I've ever made. It would be extremely helpful to have a complete chronological archive instead.

You'll have to search in every forum you remember posting in in order to piece them all together. Even then, you likely won't find all of them, depending on how many you posted in each forum. There's no other way that I know of, and I'm pretty sure time frame isn't programmed into vB so I doubt it's a disabled feature.

In a side note, do pre-purge (not hard/soft delete that mods can use) posts still count toward post count?

purged posts count towards pc

the reason we only show 100 results has to do with lagging/bringing down the site iirc, but some admin would know better than me

But yeah what Vader said. You realize how all Smogon searches that could produce a large number of results are limited

You might take Smashboards as an example of a vBulletin forum that lists all search results (and I believe always has done so). Not sure of the negative results there, but it's worth pointing out.

And yeah NixHex, as things stand, it would be like pulling teeth to find my posts. Then again, I "only" have around 1700, so even just moderately increasing the limit would make things drastically easier. For example, if the limit were 1000 I would be able to find my first 1000 posts and my last 1000 posts in two searches. Probably this would pose less of a risk in terms of lag, too?
