First time competition

Hey guys,

a friend of mine challanged me, but I'm new to competitive battling. Please forgive me if I'm making any stupid mistakes.
All my knowledge comes from browsing the Internet. But this is my team/idea so far.
(Btw we agreed to not use any legendaries)

Infernape (Ganon)
Lead
Focus Sash Blaze Naive
EV: 64 attack/ 252 special attack/ 192 speed
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock

My new Ganon will throw out rocks towards the enemy first.
Once done he'll fake out its enemies if focus sash is used by the opponent.
After that his only main goal is to STAB the opponents to an early grave.
decided to take him as lead because i needed a strong and fast lead, but without gaining a disadvantage because of typing.

Lucario(Rio)
Swords Dance
Life Orb Steadfast Adamant
ev's: 4HP/252 Attack/252 Speed

Moveset
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed
- Bullet Punch

My favorite new pokemon.
Unprepared enemies will be laid to rest by this elegant sweeper!
Start up with sword dance and show them who's boss!
Extreme speed as primary move and close combat for a powerful stab!
my main sweeper.

Scizor(Link)
CB
Choice Band. Technician Adamant
248 HP/252 attack/8speed
Moveset
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit / Quick Attack

The fearsome hero, found the red ring(Legend Of Zelda) and traded his green tunic for a red one.
This hero does what he does best: STAB STAB STAB! (And rescue his princess)
Can be used to jump back into the pokeball with U-Turn, or use its other moves to do massive damage.
another great sweeper, one of my other favorite pokemon. just to deal as much damage as possible.

Salamance(Zelda)
CS
Choice Scarf Moxie Naive / Jolly
252 attack/4special attack/252 speed

Moveset
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast / Aqua Tail

The beautiful Princess Zelda. Done being kidnapped all the time.
This heroin is able to protect herself by annihilating her enemies with brute force!
Her primary goal is to take out as many enemies as possible, simply by exploiting the enemies weakness.
i like dragon types. it would be either salamance or gyarados.

Dragonite(S'Apphira)
Dragon Dancer
Leftover/Lum Berry Multiscale Adamant / Jolly
Moveset
252attack/4special defense/252speed
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-ExtremeSpeed / Earthquake

This beast will dance for its enemies. A gracious dance followed by some severe damage. With a powerful dragon claw will he take advantage of the stab.
Fire punch will deal with its own weakness.
Will be used later, to clean up the remains left by the others.
one of my favorite pokemon of all times. bulky enough to take a hit, but strong enough to deal a ton of damage.

Alakazam (Midna)
Special Attacker
Life Orb Magic Guard Timid
4hp/252special attack/ 252 speed

Moveset
- Psyshock
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
- Substitute

No team can go without a mentor.
Midna will set up a substitute as soon as possible, by doing so he will protect himself for a while. After setting up its barrier he will attack with blasts, balls or beams. Whatever suits him best.
had to fill up my last spot, seemed to me like a pretty decent last resort.

____________
im sorry for the incomplete topic. hopefully better now.

Thanks already!

Chris

well, you're not supposed to post incomplete teams, but right now you already have three steel types which are weak to fire and two to ground. jolly on salamence decreases fire blast's power. Aqua tail would be fine and you can max attack IVs. use Naive if you're using fire blast.
your team needs more variety. it's much harder to rate/give help without an incomplete team. i suggest coming up with two more beforehand (that's the rules anyway) :)

I'll be happy to rate once you do a few things. You need to have the EV spreads listed for your Pokes, as well as at least three lines of description per pokemon. Moveset info, reasons why you added them, etc, is pretty common for this section.
