Twist Mountain said:
After walking through the vast expanse of desert to reach the mountain, you enter the mountain's base through a gigantic cavern. Slowly, you turn on your lantern to give yourself a small source of light. Curiously, you continue to walk through this specific cavern as designated by the Pokemon League. You continue to walk down the unusually smooth path until you reach a gigantic metallic door covered by Rayquaza symbols. You reach into your pocket and bring out a special amulet that was given to you by the League. The amulet glowed with an otherworldy color and the symbols light up and magically move off the door onto the cavern walls.

Slowly the doors open and through a blinding light you walk into an underground paradise. Giant green trees as far as the eye can see covered the skyline. A gigantic light at the top of the ceiling was the source of the blinding light you encountered when you entered the arena. A giant stone Rayquaza statue can be seen in the middle of the Arena with many bird pokemon roosting on top of it. As you approach the statue, the trees appeared to split away and you see a massive arena with a mysterious person sitting on a branch of a tree nearby. You slowly realize that the mysterious person was none other than the leader himself. He jumped down and spoke in a sharp tone, "Hopefully you read the rules. My last challenger didn't even know his head from his ass." With a shocked expression quickly turning into determination, you draw your first pokeball out and prepare for a tough battle.

Mechanics:
- Nerfed Strong Winds is always in effect. This gives a -2 BAP to all SE moves targeting flying type pokemon inside the SE modifier. This does not count as a weather effect and cannot be removed.
- Weak Gravity is always up, affecting only the ability levitate and the move Magnet Rise. Weak Gravity has no effect on accuracy. Gravity will override this with actual gravity before reverting back to weak gravity.
- Spirit of Rayquaza is imbued with all pokemon, nullifying the grounding effect of Smack Down
- Camouflage will turn the user into a normal type
- Nature Power will summon Tri Attack
- Grass and Water Source are available

Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Flying: Immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Pressure: This Pokemon's presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

Unnerve (H): The Pokemon's presense causes immense tension in the opponent, preventing them from eating a held Berry. Natural Gift may still be used.

Both trainers switch out their Pokemon and bring in a very familiar match up I seen in this gym before: Dragonite vs Cyclohm, last time it didn't end up very well, but this time, Bahemut putting in work thanks to the very stronk Focus Band. Let's see if our Gym Leader can keep this damage race going his way.

Scratch what i said, this Cyclohm hurts like hell

1) Baton Pass doesn't pass major status, only volatile status. So no Paralysis on Dragonite. Yes the description on NDA says "status", but it actually lists them further on and paralysis isn't listed. Also bulbapedia is pretty clear on the matter.
2) Dragonite receives 15+15.75+20+20= 70.75hp of damage. Which is slightly more than the 43 you put on.
3) Please Mark Dragonite's -2SpA due to Draco Meteor. Even though a switch might be in order, it is good to note the spa drop just in case.

Since this was a DQ, you may use ONE AND ONLY ONE of the following,

  • Queue Jump - the player's next gym match where they are the challenger will take the highest priority in the Gym Queue, in front of all other reffings.
  • Temporary 3rd Gym Slot - The player can, at one point, challenge a gym when they have two challenges active or queued, effectively having three gym battles concurrently.
  • Continue the match - the player continues the match where it was with one of the Gym Committee members - or another selected candidate - playing the role of the Gym Leader.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
