Froslass is a pretty cool Pokemon, eh lays spikes and doesn't afraid of anything. Seriously, though, two layers of Spikes can make threatening sweepers all the more threatening. Bulky is pretty eh, but the Suicide one is great. Taunt stops Foresight Hitmontop, while Shadow Ball hits virtually every Espeon for a solid 2HKO, and Donphan gets smacked around by Ice Beam, so the Spikes should stay down.

I've been tinkering with Froslass + fast sweepers, and it has turned out quite well. My team has a few problems, but I thought I'd share Froslass with all of you. Tell some things that you think could abuse her Spikes.

The best for me has been a simple Froslass + Scarf Staraptor + Jolteon core. The two offensive Pokemon are already hard to deal with, but when the wall takes 19 - 31% coming in, they really can't handle it. Plus Scarf Staraptor and Jolteon already destroy 95% of offensive teams. And then you get double U-turn abuse.

So what about you?

Kyurem is not broken, Froslass can evade three HP Fires while setting up Spikes and then Destiny Bonding the fourth one.

Fucking frigid whore.

Problem with Froslass is that it can't really spinblock because it dies quickly and there are spinners everywhere.
As for spikes, I find that Swords Dance Scolipede actually benefits a lot from spikes, as it hits most levitating pokemon with Megahorn but lacks power otherwise, which Spikes can remedy.

Froslass can actually spinblock really well, simply because she can Taunt your spinblocker so you can't use Foresight. Individually, she can easily beat them one on one. The bulky Spiker is still good, you can easily switch in on Donphan, use Pain Split a few times to get it into Ice Beam KO range. For Hitmontop, they really can't do anything to you, so you can just set up three layers of Spikes and just Ice Beam it for damage. You can do the same thing for Blastoise as well.

I've seen the same thing. I used to use Scolipede to lay Spikes/TSpikes and then use Swords Dance to sweep later on. It forces so many switches that it managed to abuse its own entry hazards, which I thought was pretty unique. Even with just Megahorn as an attack, Swarm (easy to activate) and an SD wrecked a lot of teams with its troll 112 Speed tier. My personal favorite was using Focus Sash to murder Sawsbuck. Froslass doesn't have any of these advantages, all people do with it is suicide lead to get a couple layers up and then hope their opponent mispredicts a Destiny Bond. It's a good pokemon but it can't boost and it's walled 10000% by some of the most common pokemon in the tier. Suicide leads were never really great to begin with IMO and they haven't improved much in this gen. A Spiker that can spinblock is a great concept on paper, poorly executed with Froslass.

Is the bolded part even relevant? Why is Froslass getting walled a bad thing? It's not like she's a sweeper or anything...

Just posting to say reading this made me want to try Lass again in this environment, i used her while she was UU in 4th gen, and she was always cool

the main reason i made this post is to say i love jrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's avatar

Someone who clearly wasn't around for the Froslass meta.

Bulky lass is such a pain because like someone said, unless you land your Foresight on the switch in, you're not getting rid of those spikes.

I haven't been able to get my hands on a Froslass this gen but in the D/P era she was my favourite suicide lead, well second favourite... after Azelf. It can lay down some Spikes, T-Wave, Destiny Bond and is a decent spinblocker thanks to Taunt putting Foresight out of the picture. But it's cursed with part Ice typing. :/

Funny... I've never tried using or come up against a Hail or Bulky Froslass...
