Flavor:

As the battle begins, both trainers release their Pokemon from their Pokeballs; Matezoide has chosen his Passimian, and TorterraX has countered with his Primarina. Passimian throws its fruit at Primarina, striking the sea lion with force on a weak point and dealing critical damage. Passimian quickly makes its way to where Primarina stands and retrieves its ball, after which it returns to Matezoide's field in a U-turn maneuver. Primarina, however, isn't fazed by this display and looses a mighty shout, somehow liquifying the air around it as the sound waves travel. Passimian isn't ready for this Hyper-powered vocal assault, and the shriek of Primarina's Voice leaves its ears ringing in a critical strike. Passimian then throws up a defensive barrier in an effort to Protect itself from another of Primarina's deafening shouts, but no such attack comes; Primarina has instead been ordered to perform a mystical Dance, and soon the arena experiences a downpour of Rain (someone should close the roof in here). Either Passimian or its trainer apparently isn't too fond of the wet weather, as Passimian now performs a ritual dating back to the ancient times, clearing the clouds from the sky and intensifying the rays of the Sun on this fine Day. Primarina is enthused by the lemur's performance, and delivers a flattering Encore to Passimian.

Flavor (now with less walls of text):

With a smile, Matezoide holds out his Pokeball, energizing Passimian and returning it to its proper storage device. He then produces a second ball and throws it, releasing a flash of light as his Alolan Muk now stands before TorterraX. What Matezoide does not know is that the shoe is now on the other foot, and it is TorterraX's turn for abuse.

Primarina, sensing danger, quickly erects a shield of reflected light to dampen the incoming attacks, but Muk is ready for this; its fist glows with a harsh white light before it lunges forward to strike, punching, much like a brick thrown through a window does, a hole straight through the mermaid's shield, breaking it into millions of glimmering shards that dematerialize upon hitting the ground. Muk's toxic, oily skin proves to be too much for Primarina, sickening and poisoning the latter when the blow lands.

Primarina is now pushed even farther onto the defensive, and it braces itself as it forms another shield; this one, however, is almost completely opaque and is much more solid. Primarina acted not a moment too soon, as Muk has formed a large ball of filth and debris, which it now hurls towards Primarina. The waste explodes violently upon contacting Primarina's shield, causing the Pokemon to wince from the strain of maintaining the barrier.

Primarina is now beginning to feel the exhaustion of battle, but it again creates a wall of light to reflect some of the oil monster's power. Yet again, Muk pulls back a hand and delivers a striking blow, penetrating the barrier with ease and leaving glittering dust coating the floors and walls of the arena (and the odd spectator). With a punch like that, this commentator wouldn't be surprised if Muk could break through a wall of bricks as easily as it would a wall of glass. Primarina won't be able to keep this up for long; it is now panting due to exertion and Muk's poisonous flesh has begun to take a toll on the sea lion.
