Grass Qualifiers

This thread is for the qualifiers for the Grass gym. The date for the start of the qualifiers is July 15th, 2015. The format for the qualifiers will be doubles. The examiner will be Elevator Music.

Each candidate for the gym will fight against the examiner, a user chosen by the gym committee. After the battles end, the candidate that the committee judges played best will become the new leader.

• 4v4 doubles
  • Gym candidates may bring up to 3 extra Pokemon.
  • The examiner's Pokemon will be chosen from their pool. The same Pokemon will be brought to each match in the qualifiers.
• The examiner will send out first.
• 2 recoveries / 5 Chills per Pokemon

This took a while. EM will post something more eloquent, I'm sure.

We have decided that Canis Majoris will be awarded the Grass Gym. Whilst we found some plays questionable(Particularly the switches), we also did not realise that Hawlucha would effectively be able to dismantle the gym single-handedly. We also note that Canis spent an incredible amount of time running calcs even in the face of defeat, and we believe that he is generally skilled enough for the role - providing, of course, that he wishes to take he.
