Round Ten

Action One
Erza charged up energy until she was glowing a slight silver. She shot this mass of energy at the opposing pokemon. The shiny bolt struck the mammoth on the shoulder and his hair started to sizzle. A faint smell of burnt hair lingered on the battlefield after the attack.

Mr Freeze shovelled at the hard ground with his trunk. When the ground got too hard to move, he started to use his tusks to go further underground. Finally, the whole had swallowed him up and he vanished from the field.

A small amount of dirt shifted behind Erza. After hearing the scuffle, she turned and observed. Nothing moved. Still intently looking backwards, Erza missed the ground opening up beside her as Mr Freeze’s trunk and tusks burst from the ground and slapped into Erza.

Action One Conclusion
Mr Freeze | Erza
-16.5 HP | -21 HP
-9 En | -6 En
Action Two
Erza coughed up a lime green mucous ball which floated in the air in front of her mouth, pulsing. As the glow grew brighter and more stable, the ball imbued itself with the energy inside Erza as well as energy from the green fields surrounding the battlers. The energy ball floated slowly across to Mr Freeze and the caustic bubble burst over his back.

Mr Freeze did not let this attack slow him as he lowered his head and charged directly at Erza. He struck, flinging Erza a few metres backwards. Mr Freeze’s iron skull allowed him to not take any damage from the headlong charge.

Action Two Conclusion
Mr Freeze | Erza
-18 HP | -16.5 HP
-6 En | -7 En
Action Three
Erza shot a red beam, akin to that of a pokeball at Mr Freeze. The beam engulfed the entire giant creature and sapped at his vitality, slowly changing to a traffic light green colour before returning to Erza.

Action Three Conclusion
Mr Freeze | Erza
-16.5 HP | -21 HP
-9 En | -12 En
N/A | +8.25 HP

Rank 5 translates to a 7.5 boost, not a 6.5 boost, so each attack should have dealt 1.5 more DMG, so Mamo should be at 54 HP and Bolderdash should be at 33 HP.

Attack Rank Bonus: calculated using the attacker's relevant stat (Attack or Special Attack). Physical moves are affected by the Attack Stat, while Special moves are affected by the Special Attack stat. For every Attack Rank up to and including 6, the Attack Rank Bonus is raised by 1.5, and for every Attack Rank past 6, the Attack Rank Bonus is raised by 1.

The word used is raised, not multiplied, meaning that 5, raised by 1.5 is 6.5

That's not how it works. You're reading it as "The rank + 1.5" when, in actually, its "Each rank counts for 1.5" so it is multiplied by 1.5.

For example, Rank 1 counts as 1.5, not 2.5
Rank 2 counts as 3, not 3.5
etc etc.

Following your logic,

Attack Rank Bonus: calculated using the attacker's relevant stat (Attack or Special Attack). Physical moves are affected by the Attack Stat, while Special moves are affected by the Special Attack stat. For every Attack Rank up to and including 6, the Attack Rank Bonus is raised by 1.5, and for every Attack Rank past 6, the Attack Rank Bonus is raised by 1.

Therefore, 1=2.5
2=2.5+2.5=5 etc.

There are only two ways to read the rules and that being it is attack rank +1.5 or attack rank raised by 1.5 for each level

Oy. The way to calculate the amount of extra damage from ranks is (Attacker's attack/ special attack rank - Target's defense/ special defense rank) x 1.5. The attack rank bonus is raised by 1.5 FOR EACH LEVEL, so a rank 5 boost is really (5x1.5) = 7.5.

YOU DO NOT ADD, YOU MULTIPLY.

And before you try to correct me, just think of it this way:
<akela> waterwarrior, here is what you ask corrupted cheese: Why are you right and everyone else in ASB, including the moderators and the creator of ASB (Deck Knight), is wrong?

"If Mirajane can defeat you, then I'll need to secure the weather machine in the lab."

Mud Shot > Energy Ball > Giga Drain
IF Freeze-Mamoswine is under the effects of Protective/Evasive moves, THEN replace that action with Chill and push remaining queue back.
IF Freeze-Mamoswine has any Double Team clones up, THEN replace that action with Heat Wave and push remaining queue back.

Dang, only Mud Shot went through too (Ice Shard has +1 priority), so Mamoswine would have 40 HP left (60 EN too, with Dig being used the second time in a row, but I don't think it'll matter).

Action One

Mr Freeze stomped all four legs on the ground rhythmically slowly. A fine dance as the ground began to shake, at first, only a little, but it became more and more violent with every passing second.
Mirajane spurted superheated water from her mouth right into the mamoswine. The barrage of water was relentless until Mr Freeze finally fell over, unable to battle.

You are being too kind, Cheese, but all our Pokemons recieve one less MC (3 MC is only given to those FEs with maxxed AC, and the extra AC never goes towards MC this way). Thanks again for your generosity and patience! :)

I'll fix that right after I post this.

Thanks for playing!
