Moves
========
  • High Jump Kick is one of the main reasons to use this set, as a base 130 damage move after being boosted by Reckless and Life Orb on a pokemon with base 120 attack 2kos pretty much everything in RU.
  • Knock Off hits the ghost types Hitmonlee usually can't and takes items off of potential threats.
  • A priority is needed on Hitmonlee since it isnt that fast, and mach punch is a decent STAB priority.
  • Sucker Punch has slightly better coverage and damage, but can only hit Pokemon that try to attack.
  • Rapid Spin allows Hitmonlee to spin away hazards, someone situational and needs prediction but is very useful.
  • Double Edge does pretty good damage thanks to Reckless and can be used over Rapid Spins on teams that already have a spinner/defogger.
Set Details
========
  • Reckless is the best choice on this set since it boosts the power of High Jump Kick and Double Edge and because the other two abilities aren't useful on Hitmonlee.
  • Life Orb increases the already high damage Hitmonlee is dealing out which is important on this set.
  • The EVs maximize Hitmonlee's abilities as a fast Physical Attacker, giving him max speed and max attack.
  • The nature allows Hitmonlee to either have higher speed or attack, which kind of is dependant on your team.
Usage Tips
========
  • Hitmonlee isn't physically bulky at all, so it won't be switching in much and will rarely be taking hits.
  • Hitmonlee is weak to priority moves because of its very low defense stat.
  • Make sure that you don't just spam High Jump Kick if your opponent has pokemon with Protect or Ghost-type Pokemon
Team Options
========
  • Shuckle is an amazing teammate with Hitmonlee, since Stealth Rock makes switching harder for the opponent and Sticky Webs allows Hitmonlee to outspeed faster pokemon.
  • A physically defensive pokemon works well with Hitmonlee since Himonlee is physically frail.
  • A strong special attacker works very well to take out physical walls.

  • High Jump Kick is a strong STAB move, though not as strong since this set doesn't run unburden.
  • Knock Off lets Hitmonlee hit ghost types that it otherwise cannot hit, and allows Hitmonlee to take off items.
  • Mach Punch is just a stab to hit pokemon that are faster than it and does decent damage.

real talk though EnerG218 that fake out normal gem set is really bad, you should use Endure / HJK or CC / Knock Off / Mach Punch @ liechi berry with Unburden for an unburden set.
 
Can we mention weakness policy on the unburden set because although really situational it is absolutely hilarious being able to get off basically an sd after taking a super effective hit. Also mention sucker punch somewhere on the endure set so that you aren't revenged completely by fletch.
