Human Computer Interaction....

HCI, I understand it is concerned with making computers more user friendly. Is it correct to use it in the sense that it is making computers user friendly in a software or program aspect, like would it be involved in setting up guidelines on how to design a website.

Or would i be completly wrong in saying that because it is only a study which researches ways to make computers more user friendly.

If that were the case how do i link HCI to website design

I'm not sure exactly what HCI is but i don't need a definition. Is it a study which researches ways to make Cs more UF or a method of doing so

HCI sounds similar to a module I'm taking at the moment (Design of Interactive Systems) and yeah we've studied how websites could be more user-friendly - look into Heuristic Evaluation as a means of deciding (Personally I think it's an awful evaluation method but it's widely publicised so worth knowing about)
