I would like to post the longest warstory ever.

Okay, prepare for one of the longest warstories you have ever read. Some of you may remember that a while back I posted an incredibly bulky team. This is the version I decided to implement on Shoddy Battle. Also, this warstory was decided on before the "you must lose rule.” I don’t have the patience to actually breed for this team. I will remove Stealth Rock, Sandstream, and Leftovers because it makes the log even longer than it is. All conversation will be left in; it helps to explain the thought processes. Anyways, here goes nothing.

Hyra’s Team :

GMax’s Team :

Hyra sent out Salamence.
Gmax sent out Mamoswine.
Salamence's intimidate cut Mamoswine's attack!
Gmax: gl
Hyra switched in Bronzong.
Mamoswine used Ice Shard.
It's not very effective...
Bronzong lost 8% of its health. (98%)

Bad match up. Also, I don’t like Mamoswine. Or at least not CB Mamoswine, it hurts a lot of my team.
---
Hyra: gl
Gmax switched in Magnezone.
Bronzong was trapped!
Bronzong used Grass Knot. (95%)
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 11% of its health. (100%)

And I’m screwed. Bronzong runs Hypnosis / HP Ice / Grass Knot / Calm Mind. In other words, Magnezone rapes it. Calm Mind was quickly changed to Earthquake after this battle, for obvious reasons.
---
Magnezone used Substitute.
Magnezone lost 25% of its health.
Magnezone made a substitute! (76%)
Bronzong used Hypnosis.
But it failed!

Bad mistake. I figured he would go for the KO right now. If I had started Calm Minding here, I might have been able to survive. A small might, but a might nonetheless.
---
Magnezone used Thunderbolt. (82%)
Bronzong lost 43% of its health.

Hyra’s Bronzong fainted.

So those turns were basically me Calm Minding to see if Lefties could save me. I had like 16% of my health left at the end, so random number generator hated me.

Score: 5 - 6

Hyra switched in Tyranitar.
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
Magnezone used Thunder Wave.
Tyranitar is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!
Tyranitar used Crunch.
It's not very effective...
The substitute took damage for Magnezone!

And this is where Special Wall TTar shows his uselessness. I ran Stone Edge / Focus Punch / Crunch / HP Grass. In other words, Magnezone could kill my main Special Wall… Yah, this is why I switched to RestTalk Heatran. The last spot was only really needed for Azelf; I originally had Snorlax. You will see me start hating on this guy shortly.

That was TTar’s futile attempt to wall and kill Magnezone. I hate TTar as a wall. Stats do not mean everything… TTar probably lost this battle for me. You’ll see why in the end.

Hyra switched in Rhyperior.
Magnezone used Thunderbolt. (68%)
It doesn't affect Rhyperior...

Rhyperior used Earthquake. (60%)
It's super effective!
A critical hit!
The substitute took damage for Magnezone!
Magnezone's substitute faded!

I don’t care if it’s HP Grass or not. I figure I can survive at least one because of the Sandstorm Boost and Solid Rock. He crits me, which is not nice. At least I get rid of that sub. I also use the damage inflicted on me to guess about the Hidden Power, but seeing since I’m lazy, I didn’t run all the calculations to figure out that it was HP Ice.
---
Gmax switched in Gliscor.
Rhyperior used Earthquake. (66%)
It doesn't affect Gliscor...

Killing Magnezone was more important than being predictable and letting in a free switch in. I didn’t want to use Stone Edge because Magnezone might have been able to set up another Substitute.
---
Hyra switched in Zapdos.
Zapdos is exerting its pressure!
Gliscor used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!

Bronzong is gone, so this is my only switch in… It has HP Ice, but that doesn’t matter.
---
Gmax switched in Mamoswine.
Zapdos used Hidden Power.

Mamoswine lost 51% of its health. (49%)

Finally, something in my favor. I can’t hit it SE, so I switch in fear of Ice Shard.

hyra switched in Starmie.
Mamoswine used Ice Fang.
It's not very effective...
Starmie lost 34% of its health. (54%)

Go Starmie. This thing becomes an MVP later on. It’s also the first time I’ve used Rapid Spin Starmie. I usually prefer BoltBeam and Surf, but This team was meant to stall and doesn’t like residual damage.

hyra: Bronzong was the only thing stopping Mamoswine...

He did his job. He’s on the team for his Normal Resist and Stealth Rocks. So, he didn’t fail, he just wasn’t spectacular. Jibaku, this is aimed at you and your forthcoming “Rhyinferior” comment.

This is when I remember he had Counter. Good thing I didn’t trust my Salamence. Otherwise I would have died. Anyways, in there is some discussion about how much TTar sucks and what I should run over it. I’ll edit that out if you guys don’t like it.

Props:
- Starmie for being a Spartan
- Zapdos for PP Stalling
- GMax for the amazing match
- Rhyperior for helping with Stealth Rock

Slops:
- Hax on both sides
- TWave for extending the match unnecessarily
- Bronzong for dieing with out doing anything
- TTar for being the reason I lost
- Rhyperior for failing to 2HKO Blissey

Okay, there you go. If anyone finished it, I’m amazed. Anyways, if I have to cut some stuff due to mod requests and such, I will. Well, flame me for not being funny. Humor isn’t need because this is the most epic battle since 300.

Am I the first one to finish it? I deserve a medal! Good read, Tar screwed you though. TOok about fifteen minutes to finish.

I liked it, good read, good match. However, I could have done without this comment, as it kind of spoiled the outcome very early on:

"TTar probably lost this battle for me. You’ll see why in the end."

Yeah, that Tyranitar screwed you badly ):

It was a very good battle, I enjoyed reading it. Props for using non-Specs Salamence and for that Starmie who was aiming for the sweep! :D

Definitely, Starmie was the MVP here.

I would run EQ on a defensive Tar over HP Grass. Swampert doesn't scare me as much as it should though. Nice warstory though, long but nice, and it was definitely way closer than I thought it would be. That Starmie was bad ass though.

@ Arbok: I thought about that when writing the TTar comment. Reasons it is still there: 1) You know a lost because of the new rule and 2) I don't say how. I might remove it if someone else complains though.

Everyone else, TTar is scrapped. That was the worst way I have used him ever. A from of Heatran will probably replace him.

Have to wonder why you ran Tyrannitar on that team of yours, it was rather random to be honest and didn't do well for overall type coverage. Heck even Probopass could've probably got you more mileage (Seriously...).

Very entertaining; I don't mind long warstories as long as they don't put you to sleep.

Ttar was very very undwhelming, and I'm sad that Floatzel didn't get to do anything except die.

Damn good warstory. TTar really fucked you over, though, and that was a little disappointing. Keep battling, let's battle sometime and warstory it if it's truly epic.

*Agrees with the previous posters* I think your Salamence is going to have a loong and potentially hazardous talking-to with your Tyranitar...

Otherwise, nice (long, but albeit nice) warstory, and it was closer than what the first 1/2-2/3rds of the text led me to believe. That RoostMence looks intriguing though...

Your Ttar was really badly designed, and as you said you paid the price for it. As you know, I like to run a similar defensive set but I'd never use Focus Punch without Substitute. That one move could've saved your ass on two occasions. Firstly against Magnezone when it subbed itself, and also against Blissey later on. Looking at how much the first Thunderbolt did I am presuming that you were running close to max Sp. Def and max HP, just as I do. This would be sufficient on most occasions to take T-Bolt with the Sub still intact, therefore you could then have Focus Punched twice and, barring parahax, killed Magnezone. After mentioning this, the Blissey situation simply speaks for itself, provided you had at least 202 HP remaining.

As for the battle itself though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't mind long battles as long as they are exciting, even though I already knew you had lost before even reading your Ttar comment. Nothing anyone can do about that though.

Lol, Lemmiwinks, I ripped that Idea off you. It failed to be honest. Sandstream screws over Mence and Zapdos. Starmie can handle, but yah. If I went back to that TTar set, it would be Sub/EQ/Focus Punch and then Stone Edge or Crunch, but probably Crunch because of Azelf. I went into this battle using the team for the first time. I did not expect something as epic as this to come out. Probopass doesn't look as interesting as Heatran or Snorlax because it does nothing to Azelf.

The main reason I lost was that at the end I failed to realize Mence was paralyzed. This might have made me go for the attack and not DD up once more. Eh, I would have barely 2HKO'd it with 1 DD and Life Orb. 2 DD's was a surefire 2HKO. Eh... W/e, I'm surprised that I made it so far.

This thing is an awesome special wall..

It still loses to Magnezone, though. Anyways, I just almost lost to another Blissey. So, I think I might go with MixMence and Exploion on Heatran. The team isn't as bulky then, but at least Blissey can't wall me.

Fantastic warstory. Your commentary was informative and interesting, rather than bland and some weak attempt at bronzing crap and trying to pass it off as anything but. I really enjoy the new formatting.

The battle itself was 99% you getting hax in your favor from any of the advantages you got, though... Interesting choices for the team, though.

Great read. It did not feel too long at all as I enjoyed all of it.

Cool choices for your team, although having Tyranitar fucked you over as you said.

Excellent warstory, one of the best I've read recently.

Pretty much an awesome story, I was readin it while installing counterstrike: source (goddamn I hate VALVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Very good warstory and well played on both sides.

Hey, I got haxed against and lost due to karma. Do not say the battle was mostyl hax.
But the battle WAS mostly hax; you got paralyzed at key points and the only other pokemon on your team to sweep would have been killed by Gallade if it weren't for the critical Surf. If anything, another poke should have gone down on your opponent's side due to karma. If it weren't for the Crit, it easily would have been 5/4-0 instead of the closer 2-0.
Why nitpick the only criticism I had of the entire battle when most of my post is singing your praises over what a good warstory you wrote up?

I actually read the whole thing...I am proud of myself. But, u did screw yourself over w/ sandstorm and being paralized is a luck thing and this whole match was mostly about luck. But I feel bad for your ryperior missing twice with stone edge...

Meh
Luck, Hax
It's all part of the game dudes
The generic OHKO/2HKO-ing crap is much less interesting than battles full of "hax" like this one
