Scizor [U-Turn] (M)
NATURE: Careful

TYPE
Bug: Bug STAB; more mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gains one extra attack on multi-hit moves, with a cap of five (5).
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetised. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

ABILITIES
Swarm: (Innate) When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 2. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 8, X-Scissor from 8 to 10)
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.
Light Metal (DW): (Trait) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

ABILITIES
Truant: (Trait) This Pokemon is naturally lazy, and becomes Sluggish after every normal action. This effect takes place after completing any normal (e.g. non-Sluggish) action. If this Pokemon uses a move that would inflict Sluggish, it instead becomes Exhausted for the next action. When Exhausted, its Confusion stage will not be checked and it will not hit itself in confusion during the second action. It recovers 3% energy when Exhausted. If this Pokemon uses a Combination, it becomes Sluggish or Exhausted on the action following the cooldown of the combination. Truant can be altered or shifted by Skill Swap, Role Play, Gastro Acid, or Mummy, but is not changed by Entrainment, Simple Beam, or Worry Seed.

Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, 50% reduction in freeze chance, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or bushfire areas.

ABILITIES
Flash Fire: (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.
Flame Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.
Shadow Tag (DW): (Innate) Upon entry into battle, this Pokemon’s Shadow expands across the arena and dissipates, forcing opposing Pokemon to stay within 10 metres of this Pokemon. The Shadow entirely negates the ability to switch for every Pokemon except those who also have Shadow Tag.

ABILITIES
Illusion
: (Innate) Whenever you send this Pokemon out, it can feign the appearance of another member on your squad. If this Pokemon is damaged by a direct attack, the Illusion will cease at the end of the round. Direct damage is any attack that does damage to the Pokemon's HP. Attacks that are evaded, blocked via Protect, or damage a Substitute are not considered direct damage. It will retain the typing and moveset of the Pokemon with Illusion. [Usage Note: PM the ref if you are sending out a Zorua or Zoroark with the info on Zorua/Zoroark and one of your squad members in a Switch=KO battle. Download: (Innate) At the beginning of the match, the Pokemon analyses the opponent and downloads data that lets it deal more damage. This Pokemon receives a one (1) stage boost on the offence that strikes an opponent’s weaker defence stat. (e.g. does more damage with special attacks when facing Aggron, which has higher Defence, and attack when facing Hypno, which has higher Special Defence. For ties, Special Attack is raised.) This boost is maintained at the end of each round.

ABILITIES

Other Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) We begin this match with Porygon2 vs Jumpluff!

Data is the first to act by using Detect to get prepared to evade future attacks, like Dave's Sleep Powder, which missed!

How odd...I don't think Porygon2 can Detect. Oh well.

After that, being the faster sonofagun it is, the Jumpluff manages to poison Data with PoisonPowder before the Porygon2 Taunts dave.

How odd...I don't think Porygon2 can Taunt. Oh well.

Finally, Dave tries to get some health back with a weak-ass Giga Drain...that actually dealt more damage than one would expect against a Porygon2. Speaking of Porygon2, it used some newfound agility to U-turn out, damaging the Jumpluff in the process.

How odd...I don't think Porygon2 can U-Turn. Also...why is it black with...hair!?

Übelbär: "Reuniiiiiclus!" (translation: It is a Zoroark, you moron)

....oooohhh. What an awful disguise!

Übelbär: *sigh*

Porygon2: Detect for 7 energy

Jumpluff: Sleep Powder: fails for 6 energy

Jumpluff: Poisonpowder for 7 energy
Hit: 56 (yes)

Porygon2: Taunt for 9 energy
-2hp due to poison

Jumpluff: Giga Drain: 8 + 3 = 11 damage for 11 energy

Crit: 13

Porygon2: U-turn: 7 + 1.5 = 8.5 damage for 5 energy
Crit: 7

Porygon 2 is actually Zoroark! :O.

Also Zoroark is gone thanks to U-turn!

On round 2 we see the flying cotton thinge doing what I can only describe as "the weakest attack seen by men" as it U-turns. And to add more WTF to this WTF the Chandelure actually bothered to Protect itself against it! Sure, the damage was the least of its concerns, but still...it is a weird vision.

On the second turn, Dave tries U-turn again, managing to ...erm...."damage" Chandelure in the process. Glwfire counters with Hidden Power (Ice), dealing 10 times more damage!

Finally, Dave used its Massive Weight and Bounces to deal...insignificant damage to the Ghost Chandelier. Glowfire then Counters with a Combination of Smog + Will-o-Wisp that, despite the low Base Power, manages to deal much more damage, burn AND toxic poison the foe. I guess stats can go a long way.

Speaking of long way, Dave is going a loooong way back into its pokeball. I guess that was the plan from the start. Let's see if it pays out.

Chandelure: Protect for 8 energy

Jumpluff: U-turn: (7-1.5)*0.44= 2.42 protected damage for 5 energy

Jumpluff: U-turn: (7-1.5)*0.44= 2.42 damage for 9 energy
Crit:12 (no)
Flame Body: 6 (no)

Chandelure: Hidden Power Ice: (7+5.5)*2.25= 28.125 damage for 5 energy
Crit:8 (no)

Jumpluff: Bounce: (8 + 3 -1.5)= 9.5 damage for 8.33 energy
Crit: 15 (no)
Flame Body: 6 (no)
Paralysis: 10 (no)
-1hp due to poison
-2hp due burn

Chandelure: COMBO (Smog + Will-o-Wisp): (4 + 3 + 5.5)*1.5= 18.75 damage for 14 energy
Crit: 13 (no)

According to precedence, a user with a shadow tag mon can initiate a switch phase & the opponent cannot counter-switch, so...

"U-Turn @ Nothing, enter the fold!"

Switch Phase: Glowfire > U-Turn
<What I said above>

Fury Cutter > Fury Cutter > Fury Cutter
IF Counter is issued, THEN use Focus Energy on the first instance, Agility on all future instances.

U-Turn attacked with great speed using Bullet Punch, before Jumpluff could encore an useless move. Mad at that, Dave is in dire need of a goood sniff and uses Aromatherapy to clean itself of all evil...erm...status.

After that U-Turn continues to display its speed with yet another Bullet Punch, before Dave could even Bounce up and then Attack with that massive weight it has <_<;.

Finally, sensing danger, U-TurnProtects itself...and it turns out to be a good strategy, as Dave was ready to use Sleep Powder, which failed!

Scizor: Bullet Punch: 6 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 15 damage for 4 energy
Crit: automatic
-3.3hp

Jumpluff: Aromatherapy for 8 energy
+3.3hp

Scizor: Bullet Punch: 15 damage for 8 energy
Crit: Automatic
-3.3hp

Jumpluff: Bounce: 8 + 3 - 3 = 8 damage for 8.3 energy
Crit: 9 (no)
Effect: 7 (no)
+3.3hp

Scizor: Protect for 7 energy
-3.3hp

Jumpluff: Sleep Powder for 6 energy
but it failed!
+3.3hp

"I suppose we have to combo again & hope for a hit..."

Flame Burst + Inferno combo > N/A (Flame Burst + Inferno combo) > Flame Burst + Inferno combo (N/A)
IF Protect is issued successfully without transfer, THEN use Hidden Power that action, pushing actions back.
IF Bounce is issued as part of a combination, THEN use Hidden Power that action, AND use Flame Burst next action.

time for underrated moves: part 1

Jumpluff, you're a flying type, and splash's description says it "can be used as form of propulsion. Splash can allow a Pokemon to jump quite high." This looks like just the job for you, so SPLASH over that ball of flames! Now that we're done trolling, let's get serious; Synthesis to recover some health, then SPLISH SPLASH again to troll more!

Dodge ~ Synthesis ~ dodge
