[OVERVIEW]

Once the biggest threat of Battle Spot Singles last generation, Mega Kangaskhan has seen quite a downgrade due to Parental Bond only having a 25% damage bonus. Don't be fooled though, it's still a powerful sweeper that's bulky, has a good movepool, and has a good amount of power once it boosts its Attack. However, its easier to wall than last gen, and Mega Kangaskhan still has serious problems with Double-Edge, Rocky Helmet, Rough Skin, and Iron Barbs chipping away at its health.

Below is a sample set. This set is likely to be the standard, but it will be expanded upon and updated as the metagame progresses.

[SET]
name: Sweeper
move 1: Power-Up Punch
move 2: Double-Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Sucker Punch / Rock Slide
item: Kangaskhanite
ability: Scrappy
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Parental Bond lets Power-Up Punch give Mega Kangaskhan two Attack boosts, acting much like an attacking Swords Dance.
* Double-Edge is Mega Kangaskhan's most powerful STAB. While the recoil hurts, the extra power is needed to sweep and break through walls.
* Earthquake hits Steel-types such as Aegislash hard, while avoiding contact.
* Sucker Punch gives Mega Kangaskhan priority for picking off threats, but Rock Slide is another move that doesn't make contact, and can also flinch foes.
* Consider leaving Mega Kangaskhan for late game, since the massive amount of recoil it takes can lead to it getting KOed fast early in the game.
* Pack in wall breakers, especially for Pokemon that commonly carry Rocky Helmet such as Cresselia, Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Slowbro.
* Consider a way to heal Mega Kangaskhan, such as Lunar Dance, Healing Wish, Z-Memento, or Z-Parting Shot, since this will allow you to use Mega Kangaskhan more comfortably early in the game.

Not a QC but a few things to say!

^ I think that Seismic Toss should be mentioned as one of the moves which isn't effected by the Parental Bond nerf. Fixed damage of 100 every time is a huge threat, and can 2HKO almost the entire metagame.
move 4: Sucker Punch / Rock Slide
Seismic Toss can definitely be mentioned here. It's a move which puts immense pressure on both offensive and defensive teams, while not hurting Kangaskhan at all due to no recoil. Most notably, it can 2HKO Celesteela which is really big. Crunch can be used nicely with Seismic Toss for perfect coverage, but doesn't really deserve a slash. Might be worth mentioning it somewhere though.

Unfortunately, Seismic Toss is actually banned since it requires either gen 3 or 1 to get :(

Let's actually get this thing up imo, based on usage stats I think this is perfectly fine as is. It may be worth mentioning Fake Out somewhere but I'm not sure this set would be the right place to slash it in, maybe over Power-Up Punch but that kinda ruins the point of the set. Secret Power could also get a mention but that's better on a bulky set and probably isn't necessary on a preview.
