Okay, so we're doing A* rank. The definition of which is basically 'Pokemon that are a slight cut above the other A rank Pokemon, but aren't quite at the viability of S.' Sort of like a borderline between the 2.
It'd be sweet if people could post their opinions on the structure, just like -Tynamo- did above. I'll do mine now,
S: Mienfoo, Pawniard
A*: Abra, Porygon, Timburr
imo the ones that really stand out above the rest
A+: Archen, Chinchou, Ferroseed, Fletchling, Magnemite, Ponyta, Spritzee
Most things here aren't that controversial, Spritzee+Ferroseed move up from A, but they are 2 of the best walls in the tier, with the ability to check so many things individually and are the best Pokemon for their roles. Fletchling stays at A+ because it just doesn't have the same usefulness as the other 3 in the current meta imo.
A: Croagunk, Diglett, Drilbur, Gastly, Omanyte, Snubbull, Staryu, Tirtouga, Vullaby, Vulpix
Diglett moves up from A-, because imo it's one of the best revenge killers in the tier, and forces the opponent to play very carefully. Omanyte and Tirtouga are very similar. I think Omanyte is slightly better at sweeping, but Tirtouga has a much easier time setting up whether it's Solid Rock or Sturdy. Vullaby moves up because imo, it's one of the best bulky pivots, can take a tonne of hits which means it can check stuff in a pinch, and with Brave Bird, Knock Off, and U-turn it has a lot of offensive presence.
A-: Carvanha, Cottonee, Foongus, Gothita, Houndour, Pancham, Pumpkaboo-Super, Shellder, Skrelp
The rest of them. Moved Houndour up from B+ by popular demand. Moved Foongus down because after it uses Spore, I think it can be turned into a liability pretty easily. Gothita is worse than Diglett imo, I think it's harder to fit into a team. Pancham goes down because it just faces too much competition from Foo and Timburr, it's kinda slow and all that
