[LCT R1] Mowtom vs. acidphoenix

Hello, can you hear me? I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be, when we were younger and free, I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet. There's such a difference between us and a million miles... So HELLLOOOOOOO from the other si- I mean, hello and welcome to... one of those matches in this LC tour!

Battle Rules
Format:
3v3 Singles
Arena: ASB Arena
Strict 72h Disqualification. One warning per player. After the warning is used (any tag after DQ interval is passed will be counted as warning), the Player has one hour to post (with full orders/pokemon, just saying "orders coming watch this space" doesn't suffice) after DQ is called to rescind it. If one hour passes, the player is DQ'd regardless of the ref posting or not. User calling DQ must tag DQ'd player. Referees please tag the combatants when you have finished your reffing. Players, if you know you're going to be away you better post a Leave of Absence BEFORE you leave, or give a very good reason in case of an emergency.
Recoveries/Chills: Infinite
# of Substitutions: Three (3) Substitutions per player excluding KO Substitutions.

On #TeamJem, the silver corner... Mowtom! With a team with a theme of the Five Senses, can he Mow the Tom and slaughter the other dude?

Snivy [Scent] (F)

Type: Grass
  • Grass STAB; immunity to Leech Seed, Worry Seed, and all "Powder" based attacks (Poisonpowder, Powder, Rage Powder, Sleep Powder, Spore, Stun Spore). Unable to have Petal Dance disrupted by oncoming damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Grass attacks requiring an external grass source. Bloom Command.
    • Bloom Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's "Grass," "Powder," and "Seed" status-moves will have fifteen (15) added points to their Base Accuracy (e.g. Grass Whistle goes from 55 Base Acc to 70 Base Acc). Type Exclusive commands can only be used by Pokemon that are naturally that type, and are still available if the Pokemon changes type.
      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
Abilities: Overgrow / Contrary (Unlocked)
  • When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any grass attack is increased by two (2). (eg Giga Drain goes from 8 to 10, Solar Beam from 12 to 14)
  • At default this Pokemon's unique structure reverses stat changes it receives in battle, from both its own attacks and those of other Pokemon. At the end of the round, stat changes will still increase/decrease toward 0. When toggled, it has no effect.

Abilities: Pure Power / Telepathy (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon has immense inner strength that grows with its development, raising its Attack and its Base Rank Total by one Rank for each evolution level (first of three stages = 1, first of two stages or second of three stages = 2, fully evolved = 3). If Skill Swapped, the swapped Pokemon's Attack and Base Rank Total is only raised by one Rank.

      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
Abilities: Storm Drain / Vital Spirit / Telepathy (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon lures all water attacks to itself, altering their course away from partner Pokemon. It absorbs the water and increases its Special Attack by one (1) stage. If this ability was triggered by an opponent's attack, the natural stage is adjusted.
  • This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Vital Spirit also has Insomnia, its Defense and Special Defense each is increased by one (1) Rank permanently, and its BRT is increased by two (2) ranks.

Round One

"Greetings, mundanes. I am Tessa Gray, half-warlock, half-Shadowhunter hybrid shape-changer. I have come today for two things: to referee this bloodbath of fetus-looking beast-spawns, and because I have nothing better to do. Anyway, let us begin with the first round of this infernal match."

"On the first corner, we see our first battler, Mowtom. From my studies in the Spiral Labyrinth, it seems Mowtom seems to hold a particular fetish for these odd, sprite-like entity, possibly one of the Fey. To lead, he decides to summon a graceful, serpentine beast. This 'Snivy' seems formidable indeed, capable of reversing the effects of power-altering attacks. Will it be able to abuse this ability to beat the opponent? Or will her seemingly barren movepool prove too much of a hindrance?"
Mowtom

Snivy
HP/EN: 90/100
Type: Grass
Abilities: Overgrow / Contrary
Stats: 1/4/2/4/73/1/1
Items: Rare Candy
Status: Healthy
Buffs: +18% Accuracy, +2 BAP (Grass)

"On the other corner, we see acidphoenix. Truth be told, he seems to have little record in the Spiral Labyrinth. Then again, we do not dwell upon you mundanes. For the first round, he chooses to use a rather lax, pink... creature. I myself do not know what this thing is, however it seems highly resilient, healing itself every action. Will it overcome Snivy through sheer bulk and offense, or will Snivy's type advantage prove too much for it?"

"Let us begin!"
Round One Data
- - -
Turn Order: Snivy -> Slowpoke
Action 1
Slowpoke starts off by using Teleport to evade the incoming attack! (-6 EN)

Snivy attempted to use Leaf Storm! But Slowpoke teleported just in time! (-8 EN)
Still gained +2 SpA though!

Slowpoke healed 2 HP!

- - -
Action 2
Snivy foresaw a disabling move and used Taunt! (-10 EN)
However, Slowpoke was Oblivious to the Taunting!

Slowpoke used Disable! (-7 EN)
Snivy's Leaf Storm was Disabled! (6A)

Slowpoke healed 2 HP!

- - -
Action 3
Snivy couldn't use Leaf Storm and Struggled! (-5 EN)
((5 + 1.5 - 4.5) * 1) = 2
Crit: 7783 NO
Snivy took 1 DMG!

Slowpoke, seemingly unfazed by the struggling attempt!, used Whirlpool! (-4 EN)
((4 + 3 + 4.5 - 6) * 0.6666) = 3.66665
Crit: 8123 NO //
Hit: 2877 YES
Snivy was caught in a Whirlpool! (4A)

Snivy took 2 DMG!
Slowpoke healed 2 HP!
- - -
End of Round One

"As the round ends, it seems that Slowpoke gained the advantage, although a bit of a small one. Snivy's attempts proved futile due to Mowtom forgetting about Slowpoke's ability. Slowpoke's first action evasion further lessened the damage Snivy dealt, who is now currently trapped in a vortex of water with one of its Leaf Storm Disabled. However, all is not lost yet, obviously, as Snivy took a merely 7 damage. Perhaps Mowtom could still pull himself up, hey at still got that +2 SpA. Who knew these mundane festive feuds turned out to be rather interesting to observe."

End of Round Four

"Interesting turn of events. A lucky paralyze from Snugglow. Let's see how this ends next round. Will Wailmer's bulk and Snugglow's weakness to Ground type moves prove too much for the poor, cute, piece of poison? Or will Snugglow's cuteness and type advantage succeed?"

fucking paralysis

anyway, since eject button clarification that allows me to actually parse its meaning:

earthquake - earthquake - earthquake
IF Snugglow is to use an Electric-type damaging move THEN activate Eject Button's first effect.
IF Snugglow is at 14 or less HP THEN use Bulldoze.
IF Snugglow is to use a damaging Electric-type combo AND Snugglow is at 28 or more HP AND you are at 16 or more HP AND you are at 46.625 or less HP AND you are holding an Eject Button AND you have 13 or more EN THEN Substitute(15) and push back.

inb4 Encore

I'm truly still meta, enjoy this acronym!
