    Arena
    Weather test arena
A simple building about the size of a pokemon gym (100x50x50) with solid un-diggable flooring. Earthquake is usable, surf is not. However, the interesting thing is how at the begging of each round ,the weather will randomly change. Equal chances of sun, rain, sand, or hail. The weather will always change (as in not be same for 2 rounds straight). All weather moves and abilities are not allowed.

    Arena Effects
    - Weather in the arena will change at the end of each round, with Sun, Rain, Hail and Sandstorm all having a 25% chance of occurring.
    - No two consecutive rounds can have the same weather, so any duplicates will be re rolled.
    - Moves that attempt to change the weather conditions will fail.

Just a quick clarification, Leethoof intended the 'no abilities' part of the arena description to cover only those which change weather (Drizzle, Snow Warning, Cloud Nine, etc) so Flora, if you want to change the rules in regards to abilities when you send out your pokemon then feel free too, otherwise the match will proceed with no abilities. Also neither of you mentioned anything about recoveries and chills in the battle tower, so I'm just giving you the usual. And round 1's weather will be.. (drumroll)...

Yuuuuck, hail already! Okay, well, that just means I have to turn up the heat here!

Go Dahlia and Ginger! BURN THE PLACE!!!
    [IMG][IMG]

Okay girls, our priority is Polarity! Dahlia, begin by blowing a Flamethrower onto Polarity to get some damage rolling! Then, use Acrobatics to deal some more damage on Polarity! End by exerting that Overheat within you onto Polarity for as much damage as you can do! Your substitution is to replace your current action with Taunt if Wooly attempts to use Sing!

Ginger, I need you to bolster the team's defense! Begin by putting a Light Screen up! That should soften their blows, be it a Hydro Pump or whatnot. Too bad Polarity can get that Hydro Pump in before the screen gets up though. After you do that, Giga Drain Polarity up and end by blasting a Flamethrower to its face! Your substitution? If Polarity makes any moves that end up hitting you on Action 2 and/or 3, replace your action with Revenge!

Dahlia: Flamethrower (Polarity) - Acrobatics (Polarity) - Overheat (Polarity)
Sub Taunt if Wooly uses Sing

Ginger: Light Screen - Giga Drain (Polarity) - Flamethrower (Polarity)
Sub Revenge over Action 2 and/or Action 3 if Polarity uses a move that attacks Ginger

OKAY TEAM! Lets do something really friggin awesome this battle, not neccesarily this round.

Polarity...blast that Chimchar with a Hydro Pump of greatness...and hope to Arceus it doesn't miss. Then hit Flarelm with a Weather Ball Ice and a Blizzard.

WOOLY. YOU ARE GOING TO DOMINATE THIS MATCH STARTING NOW. GET NICE AND SPEEDY QUICK WITH AGILITY. And then, I want you to blast those ears of theirs with a Hyper Voice+Sing combo to both raise the accuracy of sing and hit them both!

Summary: Polarity Hydro Pump Dahlia ->Weather Ball Ice on Ginger->Blizzard them both
Wooly Agility->Hyper Voice+Sing them both to increase accuracy of sing and make it multi-target

Please remember that Castform doesn't take weather damage because of Forecast :p

Welcome one and all to this battle in the specially designed weather arena. We have Leethoof sending out his Castform Polarity and his Swablu Wooly to take on Flora and her Chimchar Dahlia and Flarelm Ginger! The perpetual weather machine in the arena has cooked up a Hail Storm for our first round of battling, and unfortunately that same machine has also blocked all the Pokemon's abilities from activating, including Polarity's Forecast!

The combatants don't waste any time either, with Polarity starting off by aiming a Hydro Pump right at the poor little Dahlia! Unfortunately the little blob was over excited and overshot its target, missing completely! Dahlia responds in kind, but not kindly, by shooting flaming breath from her mouth.. which is right on target! The other two Pokemon in the battle apparently have things other than damage in mind, as Wooly uses it's Agility to become the fastest dude around, while Ginger makes a magic Light Screen appear in front of her team. In the mean time everyone is hit by the falling hail, ouch!

Wooly now uses it's newfound speed advantage to unleash a Hyper Voice boosted lullaby. It must have been a little off key though, because Ginger only goes into a light sleep while Dahlia isn't affected at all! Polarity is also being clever as it concocts a strange ball of weather that absorbs all the surrounding hail, and hurls it right at Ginger who is napping away behind her light screen, somewhat lessening the blow. Next thing we know Dahlia is being a rude little monkey and taunting Wooly about its terrible song. She bends over and slaps her butt while poking her tongue out at the poor bird. And the hail keeps on hitting everyone.

Wooly is still the quickest on the field, and also still quite angry at Dahlia for making fun of its song, but unfortunately its too worn out from it's last attack to do anything about it. Polarity is still buzzing with energy though, and creates a huge Blizzard, once again aided by the prevailing hail at both opponents. Thankfully both girls are still behind their screen but take a whack from the attack none the less. Dahlia takes a particular dislike to the assault, and responds with her strongest attack, Overheat! The flames do massive damage to Polarity but it also looks to have taken a lot out of Dahlia. Ginger now wakes up from her quick nap, and upon seeing the snow covering her realises Polarity must have attacked her while sleeping. So Ginger takes her Revenge on Polarity for doing so. Finally everyone is pelted with hail once again.

So it looks like Polarity has taken quite a beating in these early stages, but the girls have used a lot of energy to do it. At least they managed to lessen their own damage taken thanks to that light screen. All four Pokemon take a breather while the weather machine wirrs and buzzes before stopping the hail, and instead whipping up a Sandstorm! This should be interesting..

Because of overheat, Flarelm is A LOT more terrifying now. GO FORTH TO VICTORY, ESPECIALY SINCE SAND IS NICE TO US. Polarity, Gather some of the sand into a Weather Ball Rock at Flarelm, then continue to do so until your likely death.

Wooly, its your time now! Peck Flarelm, and then Ice Beam its face, and then Peck it again. Screw you taunt.

Summary: Polarity Weather Ball Rock Flarelm->Weather Ball Rock Flarelm->Weather Ball Rock Flarelm
Wooly Peck Flarelm -> Ice Beam Flarelm -> Peck Flarelm

Did you account for my nature's accuracy boost with Hyrdo Pump? That kind of makes me sad. :(

That was a great round, Dahlia and Ginger! Let's keep it moving!

Dahlia, you can't really use special attacks for now, but it doesn't look like you're being targeted anyway. Uh, yeah, let's see... Ginger, Torment Polarity! That way, Polarity will only get 2 Weather Ball Rocks rolling, which is suffice enough. After that, Flame Wheel straight at Polarity for a hit and Acrobatics while you're there!

Ginger, you need to attack. A Giga Drain to Flamethrower with another Giga Drain on top should work quite well. With you being picked and all, damaging and healing is a key to success!

Dahlia: Torment - Flame Wheel - Acrobatics (all on Polarity)

Ginger: Giga Drain - Flamethrower - Giga Drain (all on Polarity)

If Polarity faints, redirect all moves to Wooly

We're back for another round of action here at the weather test arena, so lets get right back into it!

Polarity immediately wants to get its own back for the beating it took last round, by summoning up another Weather Ball and aiming it right at Ginger. This time the ball absorbs all the sand flying around it to become of the rock type, which is super effective against Ginger. Lucky for her she is still hiding behind that light screen. Wooly decides to bypass the magic screen entirely, and just swoops down on Ginger, pecking her right in the face! Unfortunately Wooly's beak isn't very big so the hit does laughable damage. Meanwhile Dahlia is once again being a naughty little monkey, Tormenting Polarity for it's lack of originality. To round out this set of actions Ginger aims her best ball of magic absorby grass energy (?) at Polarity, turning half of the damage caused into life for herself! All the while everyone is being covered in sand.

Next up Polarity is too busy being upset about Dahlias constant teasing to do anything so Wooly has to step in as the damage dealer. It does so with a beam of ice that hits Ginger right in the chest, knocking her for a loop with critical damage. Dahlia then charges at the still bewildered Polarity, turning herself into a wheel of fire in the process. Ginger once again rounds out the attacks by pointing one of her cannons at Polarity and releasing a Flamethrower. This round is just full of hax as that one is also a critical hit, leaving Polarity just hanging on by a thread. No body is enjoying this sandstorm either.

The last group of actions starts off exactly as the first, with Polarity and Wooly Weather Balling and Pecking Ginger respectively, for the exact same damage as before. Dahlia decides to change things up a little by displaying her very best Acrobatics. This monkey really is a little show off, but the hit is enough to finally bring Polarity down KOed. Ginger then has to aim her final attack at Wooly, Giga Draining it for slightly less damage than earlier due to the flying type. Thankfully the Sandstorm is almost over now.

Leetoof ends the round by calling back Polarity, thanking it for all the hard work. He then sends out his final pokemon, the Shieldon named Vanguard as the weather machine ticks over to a different setting. Rain is now pouring down in the arena, which those fire types are sure to find a little troubling.

    I'm liking it.

Dahlia, greet Vanguard with a nice, smooth Taunt! After that, ThunderPunch Wooly for some decent damage. Wrap the round up by being even more mean at Wooly with another Taunt!

Ginger, soften Vanguard up with a Earth Power skyward, then reset the lovely Light Screen! Finish up by giving Vanguard another Earth Power!

Dahlia: Taunt (Vanguard) - ThunderPunch (Wooly) - Taunt (Wooly)
Ginger: Earth Power (Vanguard) - Light Screen - Earth Power (Vanguard)

    Ummm...this is not going well.

Vanguard...be a boss-osaurus and Protect yourself from the taunt and Earth Power. Then Taunt the chimchar, and finish by Metal Bursting the Earth Power.

Wooly...be a boss-ocloud and Hyper Voice Ginger twice, and then Perish Sing us all like the average emo cloud does.

Summary: Vanguard: Protect->Taunt Dahlia->Metal Burst Earth Power
Wooly: Hyper Voice Ginger -> Hyper Voice Ginger ->Sing Dahlia

We're back again at the weather arena but this time a couple of things are different to the last update. Not only is it now raining all over the field but Leethoof has a new Pokemon out in his Shieldon Vanguard. Lets rejoin the action..

Vanguard indeed starts us off by creating a solid, protective barrier right in front of himself. For a guy who looks so tough that could be a bit cowardly. Meanwhile Dahlia wastes no time returning to her mischievous ways, trying to Taunt Vanguard this time. Unfortunately the barrier he had made just seconds ago prevents him seeing the taunt and it has no effect whatsoever. Ginger too is being done in by the protect, as the Earth Power she summons with all her might just crashed into the screen and does no damage at all. Wooly, still angry from the earlier taunt manages to channel that rage by screaming at the top of its little lungs at Ginger, doing some decent damage.

For our next set of actions Dahlia decides its time she actually did some damage, charging at Wooly with a super effective ThunderPunch! Wooly, chuffed at how well its last attack did decides twice is just as nice, and once again shouts at Ginger with its Hyper Voice. Ginger feels a little more pain on this one thanks to her Light Screen fading just before the hit, so she decides to make up another one as soon as she can. On the other end of the field Vanguard is giving Dahlia a taste of her own medicine, Taunting her relentlessly!

Dahlia tries to get back to her old tricks, but is too distracted by Vanguards taunt to be able to muster up a convincing one of her own. Instead she just ends up doing a funny little dance that the Shieldon finds more amusing than infuriating. Wooly on the other hand sucks in another deep gulp of air, and starts to sing the strangest of songs. The song is much more sombre that its previous vocal efforts, and places a curse over all those on the field that hear it. By god, all of them will perish in the not too distant future, what a horribly morbid thing to do in a children's game. Ginger is initially unfazed by the song, perhaps unaware of her now sealed fate and again uses mystical energy to lift up the earth around her and hurl it at Vanguard. He takes this attack with a strange calmness, almost in a trance, until suddenly releasing a massive silver ball of energy, using the strength of Ginger's own attack against her to deal massive damage. I don't think Wooly's song will have much bearing on Ginger, as she is now far too weak to make it until the curse acts.

Meanwhile the weather machine seems annoyed (if a machine can be annoyed) that it's rain didn't affect anything that round, so it decides to concoct another Sandstorm! Vanguard seems to like it though..

Dahlia: Taunt (Vanguard) > Vanguard is protected! [10 EN]
    Wooly: Hyper Voice (Ginger) > 9 + 3 + (3-3)*1.5 - 5 = 7 [7 DMG] [6 EN]

Wooly: Perish Song > All Pokemon present will perish in 3 rounds! [15 EN]
    Ginger: Earth Power (Vanguard) > (9 + (4-3)*1.5)*2.25 = 23.65 = 24 [24 DMG] [7 EN]
    Vanguard: Metal Burst (Ginger) > 24*1.25 = 30 [30 DMG] [15 EN]

Looks like the addition of Vanguard may have swung the momentum into Leethoof's corner, although I'm not too sure if that perish song was all that wise given Flora still has a poke left to come out who didn't hear it. I found that a rather complex round to ref so please do each check it to see if there are any errors. Also you need to give Wooly a gender so I don't have to keep writing "its" in the flavour! I keep on going to write her, so it feels like a girl to me.

Wooly is a girl. On second thought, that perish song probably wasn't intelligent, but I want KO counters for Wooly lol.

Wooly, you need to kill Ginger before it screws up Vanguard any more. That means using your strongest, most damaging move possible! YOur absolute most killy-thing yet! That means you must Hyper Voice+Sing, focusing on Ginger. Then, for action three, just Chill.

Sooo...VANGUARD YOU ROCK(OSAURUS)!!! Now continues to beast things up with a Smack Down at Ginger, then Screech your face off at Dahlia, and then a Rock Blast at Dahlia. If Ginger dies in action 1 before you attack, Smack Down Dahlia instead.

    Summary:
Wooly Hyper Voice+Sing focusing on Ginger if possible->Chill

Vanguard Smack Down Ginger/Dahlia if Ginger dies->Screech Dahlia->Rock Blast Dahlia.

Haha, no problem! Let's go out with a blast girls! Dahlia, get a Flame Wheel + Flamethrower combo running! This will basically make Flamethrower an AoE move! After you take a break from that, finish up by Overheating Wooly!

Ginger, you're dead. You'll end your life by hopefully living the combo and firing a Will-O-Wisp at Vanguard! If you're still kicking, give Vanguard some more Earth Powers!

Dahlia: Flame Wheel + Flamethrower - Overheat (Wooly)
    Ginger: Will-O-Wisp - Earth Power x2 (Vanguard)

Ok, so first off I cannot see any reason why the same Hyper Voice + Sing combo would now suddenly become a damage dealing attack. However both are normally single target attacks, so I suppose if you used them on a single target it would become a sing with hyper voice's accuracy. If you wanted Wooly to get the KO counter then you really should have just used Hyper Voice on its own. Flora, I imagine Flame Wheel + Flamethrower working like you said basically, a Flamethrower that hits both opponents with a little less base power than a single target flamethrower. Anyway lets get down to it.

We come back to find ourselves in the middle of a much bigger Sandstorm than before, it seems the weather machine is kicking it into high gear for the closing stages of the battle.

Dahlia starts us up by being a tricky monkey, she engulfs herself in flames and starts spinning around on the spot. The once she builds some momentum she starts spewing yet more flames out of her mouth that reach almost every corner of the arena. Ginger only barely manages to avoid her team mate's attack but both Wooly and Vanguard feel the brunt of the flames. Wooly is also being tricky, once again combining her Hyper Voice with her favourite song, this time focussing the soundwaves directly at Ginger. The little Flarelm is already quite tired, and the song luls her into a deep sleep! She continues snoozing away, unaware of the Smackdown Vanguard is about to bring down on her, finally leaving her knocked out.

Our second round of actions is a very boring one indeed, both Dahlia and Wooly are too tired from their combination attacks to do anything. Vanguard also decides to get in on the fun of using his voice, but lets just say his song isn't exactly as calming as Wooly's. In fact he just ends up screeching right at Dahlia.

Dahlia, now rested up a little, doesn't like the sound at all and she reacts by just Overheating with all her might right at Wooly! The hit does huge damage, but it looks like it just may have taken everything out of the Chimchar. Wooly somehow manages to simply chill out while being surrounded by fire but luckily for her Vanguard decides to exact some revenge on her behalf. The earlier sand and rain have acted together to make large clumps of hard clay on the arena floor, and Vanguard uses these to hurl a Rock Blast at Dahlia, knocking her for a loop not once, not twice, but three times!

The sandstorm was just chugging away the whole time, damaging all except Vanguard. Once again that wishy washy machine decides to change it up again, but shrouding the field in bright sunlight! This picks up Dahlia's spirits somewhat while Flora calls back Ginger for a well deserved rest and sends out her final Pokemon. Curiously Wooly's cursed song doesn't appear to have made its way into Blossom's pokeball and she is unaffected by it.

Again any queries/problems with the reffing just let me know. Dahlia is going to need to take a chill or two very soon, but with the match over in 2 more rounds no matter what I don't know if Wooly and Vanguard can do enough damage to make it out with the win.

Okay Dahlia, you're down soon, but that doesn't mean you're useless! Start with a ThunderPunch on Wooly, then Chill up. After that, give Vanguard a nice Taunt!

Blossom, you'll finish things up nicely! Give Wooly a nice Wild Charge, which should finish her up. After that, Leech Seed Vanguard until he's hit. If you got a final action, let's make it a Jump Kick to Vanguard's face!

Dahlia: ThunderPunch (Wooly) - Chill - Taunt (Vanguard)
Blossom: Wild Charge (Wooly) - Leech Seed (Vanguard) until hit - Jump Kick (Vanguard) if last Leech Seed hit

HURRAY VAGUARD!! Let's hit this monkey with a Rock Blast, then annoyingly Taunt him, and then deflect that obnoxous jump kick with a Metal Burst.

Wooly, you're dead. If you somehow manage to survive two electric attacks, then Hyper Voice+Sing, and Sing Blossom.

We're back for the penultimate round of this doubles battle, and things are not looking good for the team of Wooly and Vanguard.

We start off with the newly sent out Blossom the Deerling charging right at the poor unsuspecting Wooly. She gathers an unreal amount of static electricity on the way, and her Wild Charge hits right on target. Wounding the songbird critically and leaving it knocked out. Dahlia would normally follow through on her instructions to punch Wooly now, but with the Swablu now out of commission Dahlia has no idea what to do, her trainer didn't give her any alternative instructions! So instead she just stands around aimlessly and a little confused. Vanguard is about to get her attention by once again blasting her with rocks right in the face. But unfortunately they miss!

Blossom is a bit chuffed about the immediate impact she made on the battle, and decides to follow it up by throwing some leeching seeds at Vanguard. They find their mark and are sure to have an effect on the remainder of the fight. Dahlia is again up next and looks like she's trying to relax and chill out. Unfortunately she's just a little bit angry about Vanguard's earlier taunt and just can't manage to do it. Vanguard sees how well this taunt worked, and decides to follow it up with yet another!

Blossom now continues her assault, jumping at Vanguard with her best kick! The hit finds its mark with super dooper effective damage, albeit lessened slightly by Vanguards impressive defence. Dahlia now tries to respond to Vanguard with a taunt of her own, but she's just too distracted to do anything. Wow, the little monkey has really been off her game this round. Vanguard responds by using one of his old tricks, throwing all the energy he absorbed from Blossom's kick, plus a bit of his own, in the form of a devastating Metal Burst! Unfortunately his damage is mitigated somewhat by the seeds that keep transferring his health to Blossom.

Well it looks like we only have one round in this battle remaining no matter which way it goes, thanks to Wooly's earlier Perish Song. I don't know if Vanguard will have enough to pull this one off for his team either. Regardless the weather machine clicks over for the last time, this time back to Rain.

VANGUARD. DO SOMETHING BOSS-SOME SO YOU CAN EVOLVE.

Rock Blast Dahlia->Rock Blast Dahlia->Rock Blast Dahlia. If Bloosom tries to HJK you, then Protect, but not in succesive actions.

And earlier what I meant by Wooly's getting KO counters was perish song doing so.

Haha, that all went according to plan. I didn't want Dahlia to do anything.

Dahlia, I kinda wish you were lower in health so I could teamkill you. BUT, let's see what will happen at this final round! ATTACK GIRLS!

Dahlia: GRASS KNOT SPAM TO TRIP VANGUARD TIL YOU DIE
Blossom: JUMP KICK TO VANGUARD'S FACE - JUMP KICK TO

Ok let me start with a proviso. The arena description gives no indication there would be plants in there, so I didn't let Dahlia use Grass Knot. In addition Flora was right in saying that a reference to High Jump Kick is an incorrect conditional, and while in many circumstances I would have let the mistake go, I would rather see Vanguard trying to do some damage and maybe earn a KO than just die by using up all his energy with Protect. I really don't think either of these made a difference to the outcome though, so lets get down to it.

We start the final round of our battle here at the weather test arena with Vanguard both outnumbered and the weakest competitor. Blossom starts off the round with a blistering Jump Kick right in the Shieldon's face taking him even closer to the brink. Dahlia meantime attempts to make up for her dismal last round, but unfortunately there is nothing in the field for her to make a Grass Knot out of! Man Dahlia was really a non factor in the end of this battle. Vanguard shows exactly what he thinks of Dahlia's recent bumbling by blasting her with rocks! Blossom's leech seed then takes Vanguard even closer to the brink, and finally finishes off the battle with yet another Jump Kick, winning the match for her team before the Perish Song can have it's say in the outcome!

Thanks for the reffing deadfox! gg Leethoof!

We both get 2 Trainer Counters too.

edit: I think Dahlia should faint from the Perish Song and award Wooly with an extra KO Counter. It IS the end of the round!

I went with the in-game application of such a situation. If I was Perish Songed and killed my opponents last poke right before the counter ran out then I wouldn't faint and make the match into a draw. Sorry Leet.
