So where I am from, we have the freest sex laws in the world.

Prostitution is legal
Pimping is legal
Brothels are legal

Honestly there are very little downsides to it, as it all operates in the open. Of course we are surrounded by ocean, so it's not very easy to traffic people...

Well, they're sort of similar, but different:

Prostitution is selling yourself for sex
Pimping is managing people who sell themselves for sex
Brothels are places that facilitate the selling of sex

In some countries a mixture of these things are legal/illegal for varying reason. Just like in some places it's legal to be the prostitute, but not the customer
