    (Doubles) Weather Stopper

    Lickilicky @ Chople Berry/Normal Gem
    Cloud Nine
    252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def
    Power Whip/Hammer Arm
    Explosion/Earthquake/Fire Punch

Lickilicky’s older brother Snorlax was more used than Lickilicky in the 4th gen for the reason of higher stats and an easier time of using a STAB suicide move. This generation Lickilicky lost some and gained some. With the Explosion/Self-Destruct nerf hurting pokemon such as Metagross and Snorlax as well as Lickilicky, the later of the two started to lower in usage. Lickilicky can overcome this because of its weather team breaking ability, Cloud Nine. This may cause Lickilicky to be the perfect weather check for anyone’s team. The move aims to hit all the permanent weather users for a high damage roll. Return is a decent STAB to have, but with Lickilicky’s lackluster attack stat, don’t be it to be OHKOing anything without a critical hit. Power Whip hits Politoad and Tyranitar for super effective damage – when it hits. If you want to hit Tyranitar for 4x damage, Hammer Arm is the superior option. Explosion is Lickilicky’s most powerful attack in its arsenal, but comes with a nasty price. If you predict wrong, you lose your weather check instantly. Earthquake is a decent option if not running Hammer Arm, as it hits Rock and Steel types that otherwise wall it. Fire Punch also hits Steel types, but doesn’t hit its partner

The item choice depends on your play and team style. If you want to stay alive longer, opt for Chople Berry. If you want to hit hard with Explosion or Return, use Normal Gem. The nature only matters if you are running a Trick Room team (run Brave nature with 0 Speed IVs). The EVs are basic, maximizing HP and Attack.
