Welcome to this third match of the final pool of the first round of LLAMA. Today taking the stage is Gale Wing Srock and Rainman Legends, two relative newcomers who are attempting to make a name for themselves in their maiden individual tournament! Who will win? We will see. As for watch out for's, just watch out for Greninja both sides. S is for Skill Frog and this brain dead Pokémon will play a pivotal role with its sheer skills. Also like the nerds they are, neither of the two brought their legendary Pokémon. Boo... Let us get to the meat of the match shall we?

BATTLE RULES
3v3 Singles
Enforced 2 Day DQ Time for players, 3 for referees.
Each player has one DQ warning a match. Go over once, you will use your warning. Go over twice, you will be DQed. This will be at the discretion of the player or one of the hosts if the player takes too long. Referees going over DQ will probably be sacked and replaced.
Infinite Recoveries/Chills per Pokémon.
Three Substitutions per player excluding KO Substitutions.
One Mega Evolution
Switch = OK
Abilities = ALL
Items = ON; you do not have to have the item in possession but the item must not be banned, similar to SICK (Banned Items: Soul Dew, Dark Stone, Light Stone, Diancite, Prison Bottle).
Arena: ASB Tournament Arena
If there are matches still going on come Friday the 6th of February at Midnight (GMT +00:00), then the DQ Times of those matches will shorten to 1 Day Player, 1 Day Referee.

When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33%, the Base Attack Power of any water attack is increased by two (2). (eg Water Pulse goes from 6 to 8, Hydro Pump from 11 to 13)
Protean (H): By default, this Pokemon switches their type before striking with each damaging attack to match the attack they are about to use, and keep that type until another damaging move is used. The energy cost for the attack is calculated based on their type before using the move. When toggled, the Pokemon reverts back to their natural typing. Pokemon that also have Color Change ability may select whether to keep their current type or the damaging attack's type each action.

In a bad look where we see just how overcentralised the ASB metagame is, both Gale Wing Srock and Rainman Legends send out their Skill Frogs in a mirror match guaranteed to confuse whoever can be bothered to open the calculations!

To begin with we see some crazy Protean shenanigans with one of the Skill Frogs slowing down the other but in a brain dead display, the other responded with a powerful metal beam which hampered the Skill Frog and left the other really exhausted. The wounded Skill Frog then resorts to hit and run tactics on the exhausted Skill Frog (really?) before firing a jet of boiling water at it, burning the Skill Frog. Froglegs anyone? Finally the burned Skill Frog licks the other Skill Frog for reduced damage before the non burned Skill Frog returns to its Poké Ball... U-Turn ordering first really? ._.

After that confusion of a first round it looks like the burned Skill Frog has sent the other Skill Frog ducking for cover with its superior skills. Did anyone feed that thing with Proteans? But yeah in reality it looks like Rainman Legends shot himself in the foot a bit and now has to order first against a Skill Frog again with a different Pokémon. Let us see if he will do better this round coming.

Following his "smart" decision, Rainman Legends sends out a mega evolving Heracross who looks like it is ready to wreak havoc on the Skill Frog, especially with a Speed advantage. The Skill Frog begins by blocking the Heracross' swipe before finding himself vulnerable to the Heracross who critically slashes the Skill Frog for massive damage. The Skill Frog then throws around some spikes on his opponent's side before blocking the Heracross' next attack. That was pretty much it.

Gale Wing Srock did nothing this round but toss around spikes and use up a lot of energy the Heracross really damaged the Skill Frog this round. At least the Skill Frog has the speed advantage again but that burn is continuing to sting.

Gale begins by sending out his male Gardevoir and chooses not to mega evolve what? ?_?

Must be something in the future like a predicted Gyro Ball I guess. Anyhow his opponent is now Rainman Legends' Steelix who is his third Pokémon used in three rounds and ordering first three times in three rounds. Anyhow the Gardevoir begins by burning the Steelix and blunting his offence. Not that the Steelix seemed to mind as it proceeded to belt the Gardevoir with a powerful slam. After some recoil the Gardevoir decides to get rid of his useless ability and transfer it to the Steelix in exchange of the Steelix's Sheer Force. This does little to blunt the Steelix as it went on to hammer the Gardevoir with the predicted Gyro Ball. That is why no mega I guess... Then in one final defensive action the Gardevoir created a substitute to shield him from the Steelix's headbutt with some life force to spare.

Defensive play is really starting to take toll on Gale despite him ordering second every action to date. Perhaps Gale cannot handle Rainman Legends' offensive pressure? Well now Gale has to order first next round and it will most likely not be pretty for him...

In what was basically a very boring round, the Steelix protects himself while the Gardevoir mega evolves and resorts to support and disruption, one support effect benefiting the opponent.
