Lure 2: Heatran is a guaranteed switch in for Talonflame, so there's no reason Talonflame would wanna switch into Heatran to come right back out.

Lure 3: Similar to above, with Talonflame not really wanting to switch into Garchomp due to the recoil damage. They won't really know you're not a Tank Garchomp, so they'll still avoid switching into Garchomp.

Lure 4: Only problem is that Talonflame can just use Taunt to prevent Altaria from setting up or using Roost to stay alive while Talonflame can spam Roost to let the burn kill Altaria.

Lure 6: Same reasoning as Lure 3, with Talonflame not wanting to switch intro Garchomp.

Lure 7: Taunt could work, but it'll have to be a killer prediction, since Talonflame doesn't really wanna switch into Bisharp in general.

Lure 8: Ancient Power won't kill and gets easily PP stalled by Roost

Lure 9: Mega Scizor is more of a bulky sweeper, and giving up SD for Toxic won't really help much, since Talonflame can just burn Scizor and then eat any attack easily.

Lure 12: Thunderbolt honestly doesn't do much, and even then, Talonflame has Roost to keep surviving while it shuts down Clefable with Taunt

IT'S A TRAP! Bisharp is a great answer to psychic types thanks to it's ability to pursuit trap them. It's able to take variants of attacks such as Draco Meteor due to it's fantastic typing being Dark-Steel. It's also a great fairy killer with Iron Head in it's arsenal and it's a threat that'll leave you playing mind games with Sucker Punch. Access to Knock Off can also make it a bit difficult to switch into Bisharp, due to losing an item, which can be very crucial for some mons.​

Not much to say about this, but its a cool lure because it can survive any Dark type move and hit back with Focus Blast and its utility doesn't end with screwing over just Bisharp because Dark types are everywhere right now and you screw every one of them apart from Hoopa-U as long as Focus Blast hits

Jirachi is normally helpless against Bisharp, which gives Bisharp a false sense of security as it comes in and gets 2HKOed by a resisted Flash Cannon + Hidden Power Ground. This is possible because Jirachi normally doesn't run a lot of Speed, meaning Bisharp will go for the Knock Off to KO Jirachi only to be outsped and KOed in return. However, you can also predict the Sucker Punch and switch out instead to gain free momentum. Calm Mind Jirachi is not entirely useless either as it can lure and KO Mega Charizard, Slowbro, Talonflame and can even sweep teams by itself.

I will admit, Hidden Power Fire isn't the most creative lure out there. Even then, it's funny how many people with switch their Bisharp directly into a Latios thinking there will be no consequences, possibly predicting the Defog or Psyshock. Hidden Power Fire straight up OHKOs Bisharp after any prior damage. After Draco Meteor damage, even at -2 from the drops, Hidden Power Fire KOs Bisharp from that range. Hidden Power Fire also defeats Ferrothorn and Scizor, especially Mega Scizor, so it's certainly not a waste of a moveslot. The downside is, Latios is more prone to 50/50s than other Pursuit-trappable Pokemon, so it has to be a little more worried.

so 63 + 39 = 102%. Even with minimum rolls, Bisharp still goes down.

Bisharp loves switching into Celebi since the standard set absolutely cannot touch it. This isn't the standard set though, this is a Life Orb set which can OHKO Bisharp from full HP. And although it cannot live a Sucker Punch from full, Bisharp will rarely ever Sucker Punch a Celebi unless it knows that it's offensive, since it would expect it to switch or BP out in which case Knock Off or Pursuit are the better choices.

Bisharp loves switching in on Latias, since it's immune to Psyshock, can take a Draco Meteor, and gets a free +2 Attack from Defog. However, HP Fighting will OHKO it, making it a solid lure. The downside is, like HP Fire, HP Fighting drops the Speed IV, so prepare accordingly. For what it's worth, Latias also gains the ability to hit most Steel types in general with it, at the cost of not being able to hit Fairy types all that well.

Bisharp enjoys switching into all of Mega Meta's common moves (except for Hammer Arm/EQ) and can do up to 77% with Sucker Punch, which can often be enough to take Mega Meta out if it's taken prior damage. This set turns Bisharp into an easy +1 by setting up the sub as Bisharp switches in. Bisharp uses sucker punch, you break the sub and OHKO with Power-up Punch, and proceed to sweep (hopefully). Even if Mega Meta and Bisharp switch in at the same time, most Bisharp will go for sucker punch as you sub, and the same situation will happen.

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Metagross Power-Up Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 252-300 (92.9 - 110.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO. (93.8% chance to OKHO after rocks)
