    Topic Title:
    Machamp (Choice Scarf)

    name: Choice Champ
    move 1: Dynamic Punch
    move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Payback / Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Bullet Punch / Sleep Talk / Encore
move 4: Payback / Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Bullet Punch / Sleep Talk / Encore
    item: Choice Scarf
    nature: Jolly
    evs: 42 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe

Why this set deserves to be on-site:
    • Hard to wall without ghosts due to sheer power and confusion combined.
    • Outspeeds the majority of the metagame and can take a few hits (including a resistance to stealth rock).
    • Confusion makes it difficult to switch in and take a hit.
    • Resistance to Bug, combined with great speed and coverage and respectable bulk, allows optimal switch into a predicted U-turn.
    Additional Comments:
    • Payback hits ghosts switching-in very hard.
    • Ice/Fire Punch hits anything 4x weak such as Dragons or Scizor/Forrestress for extreme damage.
    • Bullet Punch revenge kills stuff even faster.
    • Sleep Talk allows switch-in to sleep inducing moves (such as Brelooms Spore).
    • Encore provides a means to force out or screw up anything otherwise too bulky, such as Suicune, or a Baton Pass chain, etc.
    • Spread of 30/252/228 means outspeeding Garchomp lacking Choice Scarf in Ubers.
    • Easy to fit into just about any team.
    Teammates & Counters:
    • Works well with just about anything, surprise revenge kills and confusing any non-ghost switch in can causes havoc. However combining with a pursuit user is especially benificial to take out ghosts, Weavile recommended. A counter to bulky waters is also adviseable.
    • Ghost types may switch into a predicted Dynamic Punch, particularly bulky waters can be an issue if the confusion doesn't kick in.

I'm just going to summarily lock it anyway because there's no way it was tested properly with that many slashes. It's also missing a lot of format related stuff, and also has the added bonus of just not really being that good.

EDIT: Also, QC removed the set from the analysis a while back. It's not missed, it's just bad.

scarf machamp has been discussed in the past and it just doesn't really do a good job at what it's supposed to do. it's a very poor choice as a revenge killer because it's still slow as dirt for a scarfer, and it's way too weak if it's not adamant. maybe the 'surprise factor is enough to get a mention in machamp's "other options" section, but sds and i both agree it's definitely not good enough for its own set. sorry about that. feel free to try again with another set, but try to cut down on the slashes and make sure it works!
