Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
"Looks like I've got a good matchup here--Corporal Woodsy, my Privatyke! (using Unaware by the way, although that's sort of implied). He's not going to go down easily, I assure you! Show that bug how unimpressed you are with a Yawn, to start. Then, Substitute up, and use the time you'll be buying to build some toughness--Bulk Up! Got that all? No flinches here, it's just a bug! Give it all you've got!"
Oh, this does not look good. Well, I might as well make the best of it. Start off with a Dig to dodge that yawn, a Hidden Power to get at that electric weakness, and finish with an Icicle Spear to break his substitute.
Hello everyone and welcome to the amazing grassy hills where the only thing you see is grass! There's also a holy crap 1 inch pond here too at the righthand side, but that's for another story... since for this story, we'll be taking it to two trainers battling upon this hill we call Bunker Hill, just like the "old days" of war.
Axaj releases his new White Album on the lower grounds of the hill for all fans, boys and girls, to enjoy, while MapleSandwich releases good soldier Corporal Woodsy on the opposite lower ground to ready his aim and fire. White Album begins the match with a swift Dig under the grass, making him out of view from Corporal Woodsy's eyes. Corporal Woodsy does indeed Yawn, but only in signs of just waking up. Perhaps he didn't have a good breakfast this morning... but indeed he gets a huge "breakfast" when White Album pops out right under him and smashes his body onto the ground. Oopsies!
White Album keeps up his momentum and fires off a point-blank Hidden Power Electric, surging electrical blasts around the poor corporal. Ah, now he's finally awake from that blast, that Corporal Woodsy, and signals a Substitute to be made in defense of his weaknesses. Maybe he's safe now?
As a result of Corporal Woodsy's action, White Album attempts to break down the Substitute with multiple Icicle Spears. PAM! BAM! DAM! SPAM! Four hits right on, but it appears the Substitute is still there. Corporal Woodsy laughs behind the Substitute, does some push ups, and Bulks Up his muscles. Perhaps now that the little ice bug is afraid?
"Alright, Corp, now that we're a awake, we'll show him how fierce we can be. Go for a Drain Punch[/b ]to keep yourself in rhythm, then Bulk Up another time, then Substitute again (20% works)--see how much you can protect yourself."
Eager to break the Substitute at long last, White Album immediately goes on the offensive and fires off a peculiar Hidden Power at Corporal Woodsy, destroying his shoddy Substitute in the process. Corporal Woodsy finally feels like attacking as a consequence - he rushes over at White Album and slams a draining punch to the face. Slugged and beat, White Album collapses a little, but of course, he still has more fighting spirit left!
As Corporal Woodsy is now unguarded by the evil Substitute, White Album keeps the pressure on and summons the power of Earth to spout below Corporal Woodsy's place. Splish! Splish! Splish! Three times has an "eruption" occurred and Corporal Woodsy is left jumping on his leg on quick "OW! OW! OW!"s. But still, the rapid jumpings resided in Bulking Up himself, oddly enough. It appears that any little action Corporal Woodsy does bulks himself up, or do they?
White Album sees to keeping his offensive presence around and fires off a familiar Hidden Power upon Corporal Woodsy, in which he shudders in taking, but it's no biggie. Being a war kamikaze himself, Corporal Woodsy sets up another Substitute in place of his fallen one to protect his greedy self. Does he know no death on the battlefield? He must be mad!
Looks like both contenders have been climbing this hill slowly. They're not quite at the top though. I'm not sure if it's even a good thing to get on the top. Surely you don't want to fall off! The poor pond hasn't attracted any attention as of late. Tis a pity.
"Let's see if we can use this hill to our advantage. First, take advantage of your Substitute to Drain Punch safely. Then, just take a little breather, and chill out, rolling up the hill a little. Drain Punch again after that--we need to get our HPs up."
Alright, try a Dig against his substitute to start out, dodging that Drain Punch. Then attack with another Hidden Power while he is chilling around. Finish off with another Dig to dodge his second Drain Punch.
Right off the bat, White Album prepares to Dig upon the grass in hopes of evading any incoming attacks. Indeed, White Album does, as Corporal Woodsy looks just as confused as a new kid in school. Looks like Corporal Woodsy couldn't execute a proper Drain Punch like his trainer told him! Out of nowhere, White Album ravages the grasses and strikes "White Album", who just happens to be a Substitute. Corporal Woodsy smirks as he climbs uphill.
Keeping up his offensive game, White Album unleashes a vibrant Hidden Power at Corporal Woodsy. Dude, your Substitute is taking damage corporal! Corporal Woodsy seems unaware of this issue and just chills while slowly walking uphill. You sure about that?
Anticipating another attack, White Album again Digs out of sight. This time, however, Corporal Woodsy is at the top of the hill, slowly advancing toward to the opposite side. He smartens up to White Album's apparently obvious underground digging sounds and right when White Album unburrows behind him, he twirls around, takes his left hand, grabs White Album right on the neck, and uses his right hand to deliver a crushing Drain Punch to the face, which ultimately drops White Album down the hill, though he gets right back up and clings on the grass so that he doesn't fall off. White Album stares up at Corporal Woodsy's face with a vengeance. A powerful face, indeed.
Well, I suppose this could be worse. Let's try an Icicle Spear (that doesn't suck this time), followed by another Hidden Power, and finish with an Earth Power.
"Alright, Corporal, we're making headway, but things are still tight...the tide could turn against us at any moment. We need to move fast. Lead off with a Substitute (15%) after your current one breaks. Then, show that little bug how much its hidden powers don't phaze you with a Yawn! To rub it in even more, we'll Bulk Up on top of the hill, to show off our mastery of the situation. Really show off your power!" M. punctuated his command with a small fist pump. FIST PUUUUMP.
A crazy battle with nonexistent Pokemon that are existing...
Furious about breaking Substitutes, White Album jumps upward toward the hill's peak and unleashes a fury of Icicle Spears at Corporal Woodsy. Tik! Tik! Tik! Looks like it was three hits this time! One hit breaks the Substitute, while the other two stab through Corporal Woodsy's skin. Youch! Determined to be the most selfish bastard ever, Corporal Woodsy puts up yet another annoying Substitute in White Album's face. Yet another obstacle, small fry.
What else should White Album be doing? White Album fires off a Hidden Power at the Substitute, but it happily absorbs the damage. Corporal Woodsy, being the bastard he is, Yawns loudly at the little ant. This yawn definitely made White Album more uncomfortable than usual. His face is going down, but he's not done yet!
"Yes, another brick wall to destroy, oh joy!" is White Album's expression when he conjures a single, powerful Earth Power upon Corporal Woodsy's small location. Ow! The blast not only destroyed Corporal Woodsy's Substitute, but blasted him right off the top of the hill. Too bad about flexing on top of the hill, hehe. Although he's below the ant in zone, Corporal Woodsy feels relatively safe, flexes his big body, and Bulks Up. Safe, eh? We'll see next time!
"This is it, Corp! We have to survive long enough to Drain Punch back up! Speaking of...Drain Punch right away--you need some HP. Then set up a Bulk Up. Afterwards, Drain Punch again, quickly! We can win this if we stay cool and calm!
This is it. This has to be the game changing round. You will either lose it and win it at a slip of a hair. Luck? Let's see.
Taking advantage of the fact that Corporal Woodsy is on the verge of fainting, White Album begins his assaults of a variety of attacks - he fires off a swift Hidden Power at the lower Corporal Woodsy. Blam! It hits right on his face, causing him to stagger a bit, but it doesn't look like he's ready to fall off the hill yet! Corporal Woodsy charges at the ice bug, jumps, and SMASHES him with a Drain Punch. Syclar backs up with a dented face, but he looks alright!
Continuing his path to victory, White Album readily reads Corporal Woodsy's movements and summons an unexpected Earth Power below his feet. Ow! His foot just got BURNED! (not really.) However, Corporal Woodsy shows no weaknesses, even with his destructive state, and shows off his abs in a Bulk Up show. Impressive. Some girls could want that, even if you're beat up.
No matter, as White Album makes a secret smile and jumps right on top of Corporal Woodsy's face. Right there, he attempts to strike one final, decisive blow. Pssssh, did he? Right when he jumps, he falls asleep(Deep Sleep) as a consequence of the past Yawn! Corporal Woodsy laughs out loud, readies his right arm, and crushes White Album with a wicked Drain Punch as White Album's sleeping body falls upon him. That single punch just broke some of White Album's "bones", as pieces of ice trample down the hill. There at the bottom of the hill lies a unconscious White Album, sleeping like a baby. Corporal Woodsy looks down with a smile and seemingly awaits his new actions...
Aha, things just didn't go as fully planned for White Album. How will Corporal Woodsy play catch up in the two actions of sleepy White Album? Next round is where you will find all your answers!
"We have this in the bag, Woodsy! We've got this! But, you look exhausted. Chill for a minute. Bask in the glory of victory. Not too much, though, you still have to win first. Once you're done chilling out, Bulk Up one more time, and Drain Punch for great justice! Aim for the weak spot for massive damage!
As White Album takes a hefty doze of sleep, Corporal Woodsy prepares himself for the greater good. First off, seeing as his energy is almost to the point of death, he chills out and takes a short picnic on the hill. Woo, now he's a little more warmed up! But, he's still kinda weary. It seems White Album doesn't really mind as he is just snoozing away!
Corporal Woodsy laughs. "It's time to flex my sexy muscles once again!" He does a couple of jumping jacks and Bulks Up his tense muscles. Ah, and still, White Album is causing a havoc with his snoring!
At last, White Album wakes up and sees what's up. A quite prepared Corporal Woodsy shows right in front of his face. In fear and instinct, he unleashes the quickest, but still strong, Hidden Power ever, shoving Corporal Woodsy on his back. He's a bit bouncy, but it looks like Corporal Woodsy is still standing! This time, he reddens with anger and despite his state of health, leaps upon White Album and delivers the most devastating Drain Punch of his current life, causing a serious headblow critical hit! White Album's head is still on tact, but it is deeply bruised. Ahhhh, but to no avail, White Album picks up his spirit from the attack and gets up, ready to go bout for one last time, though he's shaking. Is Corporal Woodsy himself still ready for another round? I don't know, but if he has one last trick in his bag, it could do White Album in!
"This is it! Do or die, Corporal! Put all your ire into one single Arm Thrust--show this landlubber how powerful a sea dog like yourself is! Don't stop thrusting until either it is down or you are down! And if you do go down, try to land on it and crush it as your last act! Make the crew of the S.S Sssssss proud!"
I've got one last trick up my sleeve! White Album, do an Evasive Dig, and hold it until the end of the round. Do yourself a favor and please don't pop up right next to him this time; go far away when you come up.
Evasive Dig --> *holding dig* --> Come up away from Privatyke
This is the final round of the epic saga of bootie man vs ice buggie. Is the result more obvious than you think or could it perhaps be more complicated? All shall be revealed in a blink of an eye!
As the two tired competitors stare down for one solid round, it is clear that one little guy has a big, nasty, ugly, TERRIBLE plan right under his sleeve. White Album takes advantage of his vastly superior energy pool and takes on a Digging travel under the hill. Corporal Woodsy, being the unaware maniac he is, rolls right down the hill and jumps upon the hole in an Arm Thrusting position to an escaping White Album, but alas, to no hope as he instead gets his head stuck right into the hole! Gotta lose some weight there dear!
White Album is clearly being a wussy and holds his position underground in a safe but friendly environment of... dirt. Checking for safety measures, White Album decides to climb a little up his hole to see why the hell it's so dark in the hole even though he didn't even burrow that much... and then he finds one incredible find... the head of a god damn Corporal Woodsy stuck on with his eyes beaming at him in anger. White Album sees an "arm" slowing "thrusting" through the dirt in determination, but it doesn't look like it's doing much except spreading some dirt in the hole. Surely he got lucky there! Seems like White Album already slightly backed away in fear. How I know this stuff is happening? Well... you know...
Anyway, after a few seconds later, White Album decides to check up on things in the overworld and finds one incredible find... oh, I said that already. But it's still an incredible find - the head of Corporal Woodsy stuck in the hole! But alas, it is not moving. Did he run out of energy? White Album decides to check on the situation and climbs upward toward the opening of the hole and bumps up the unconscious body upon the hill. He... pokes the body... and guess what, it looks like Corporal Woodsy fainted from exhaustion! White Album celebrates his victory in a buggy, cheerful, if not tiring, way... until a slowly moving shadow rises from the behind... an awake Corporal Woodsy who aims one last fucking Arm Thrust at the victorious White Album, but completely misses and falls onto the ground right behind the ice bug's icicles. Alas... alas... NOW is the time to celebrate and NOW is the time that White Album can claim this match as his own.
What a spectacular battle it has been, if only Corporal Woodsy had more energy! Now that, sir, was war!

Even if there were stuff you didn't agree with, it still transforms into a more interesting match (well, I just tried to make it more interesting and create an "omg omg so worried omg!" feeling.)
Prizes! Everybody loves em!
Axaj and Maple get 2 Trainer Counters each.
White Album and Corporal Woodsy get 1 of each of the following: Evolution Counter, Move Counter, and Dream Counter.
Good game Maple, you sure did put up a fight. I thought I was about to lose a few times there! And thanks for reffing, Flora. Too bad I wasn't able to take advantage of that one inch pond.
"Ach, you did a very good job, Ajax. I didn't think I had any chance of losing, but you sure proved me wrong. I'm glad to have lost to such a worthy opponent. May we both grow stronger from this!" *handshake and warcry*
