[SET COMMENTS]
*Possessing an Earth-shattering 194 special Attack stat, outrunning most Pokemon in the metagame, while having coverage for it’s checks Mega Mewtwo Y is a very threatening wallbreaker and sweeper for balance and bulky offence teams.
*Psystrike helps Mega Mewtwo Y take down special walls that would counter it otherwise, as after a boost Psystrike OHKOs specially bulky foes like Wallbreaker Primal Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Calm Mind Arceus-Ground after Stealth Rock.
*Fire Blast prevents Mega Mewtwo Y from being walled by Steel types such as Ferrothorn while OHKOeing defensive Necrozma-DM, Zacian-C after Stealth Rock and Calyrex-I after a boost.
*Ice Beam allows Mega Mewtwo Y to hit and severely cripple Yveltal on the switch-in, while also dissuading Pokemon such as Mega Salamence, Zygarde-Complete, and Rayquaza from switching into an unscouted Mega Mewtwo Y. Focus Blast allows Mega Mewtwo Y to threaten Arceus-Dark and while providing coverage for defensive Necrozma-DM. However, no matter which coverage move is chosen, Mega Mewtwo Y will have a problem with either Arceus-Dark or Yveltal which must be accounted for with teammates.
*88 Def EVs allows Mega Mewtwo Y to survive Life Orb Marshadow Shadow Sneak, while 216 Speed EV‘s lets Mega Mewtwo Y outspeed Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao. It’s not always required to immediately Mega Evolve, as the defense drop may allow
Choice Band Marshadow’s choice Shadow Sneak and Arceus-Dark's Foul Play to OHKO Mega Mewtwo Y. However, Mega Mewtwo Y is required to mega evolve to outspend threats like Power Herb Eternatus.
*Mega Mewtwo Y should be used as a wallbreaker in the early and mid game, as the damage it gets on other Pokemon such as Defensive Necrozma-DM and Defensive Arceus-Ground can help its teammates break through them later into the game. It has the potential to sweep, but it doesn't do so consistently, as it runs into many roadblocks, such as priority from Marshadow and Yveltal.
*Other offensive Pokemon such as Zacian-C and Meteor Beam Eternatus appreciate Mega Mewtwo Y breaking down checks such as Primal Groudon and defensive Necrozma-DM for them to potentially sweep.
*Arceus-Fairy and Defensive Zygarde are amazing partners as they deal with Mega Mewtwo Y’s biggest checks in Marshadow, Arceus-Dark, and Yveltal.
