Special Defense: 131 ----> 151 (+20)

Nihilego-Mega
Ability: Beast Boost ----> Shattering Blow (All attacks do x1.3 more damage, but looses 1/10th of HP each time it attacks; Life Orb without the item needed)
Typing: Rock/Poison

HP: 109
Attack: 53 ----> 83 (+30)
Defense: 47 ----> 77 (+30)
Special Attack: 127 ----> 147 (+20)
Special Defense: 131 ----> 101 (-30)
Speed: 103 ----> 143 (+40)
Base Stat Total: 570 ----> 670
Movepool Additions: Stone Edge, Recover, Ice Beam
Description: Mega Nihilego is, since it's design and typing is vaguely like glass, an actual glass cannon. With Life Orb as an ability basically and high Special Attack and Speed, it will make a great sweeper on a team. However, bulky Pokemon that have Ground moves can easily counter Mega Nihilego, so it has to watch out for those. Generally speaking, having a very frail typing but high attack power and speed moves it a perfect glass cannon.

Guzzlord-Mega
Ability: Beast Boost ----> Gravity Surge (When put into battle, Pokemon that cannot be damaged by Ground-type moves now take super effective damage from those moves.)
Typing: Dragon/Ground

HP: 233 ----> 233
Attack: 101 ----> 121 (+20)
Defense: 53 ----> 83 (+30)
Special Attack: 97 ----> 90 (-7)
Special Defense: 53 ----> 113 (+60)
Speed: 43 ----> 40 (-3)
Base Stat Total: 570 ----> 670
Movepool Additions: Fire Fang, Earth Power, Recover
Description: A tanky Pokemon that can counter many Ground-immune Pokemon. It can completely shoutdown Pokemon like Zapdos and Celesteela, which then can allow an opportunity for it or another Pokemon. Although tanky, Physical Dragon-type Pokemon can give it a rough time; Strong hitting Physical Pokemon in general can put Mega Guzzlord in a tight spot.

Mega Nihilego

Ability -
Beast Boost
Corrosion

HP - 109
109
Atk - 53
53
Def - 47
47
SpA - 127
167 (+40)
SpD - 131
167 (+36)
Spe - 103
127 (+24)
BST - 570
670 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Flamethrower, Recover
Competitive Analysis - Mega Nihilego can act as a sponge to Special hits and is very hard to take down, it also hits surprisingly hard and it is quite fast as well, however, the fact that it cannot snowball like regular Nihilego and that it doesn't have the speed Choice Scarf Nihilego has.

Mega Xurkitree

Ability -
Beast Boost
Electric Surge

HP - 83

Atk - 89
103 (+14)
Def - 71
107 (+36)

SpD - 71
107 (+36)
Spe - 83
97 (+14)
BST - 570
670 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Dark Pulse, Psychic
Competitive Analysis - Mega Xurkitree may look like a joke with its trollish base 97 speed, however, its important to remember that it functions as a wallbreaker not a cleaner/revenge killer. Very little Pokémon can sucesfully switch into this beast (no pun intended), thanks to its base 173 Special Attack stat and the fact that Electric Surge further boosts the power of its Electric-type moves. Mega Xurk is also somewhat bulky so that it can eat hits better. However, Mega Xurkitree still gets outsped very frequently and requires tons of support to sweep (Sticky Webs/Speed Pass) since it cannot hold a Choice Scarf. Also, the prevalence of faster Ground-types and just other faster Wallbreakers balances Xurkitree's qualities.

Mega Guzzlord

Ability -
Beast Boost
Huge Power

HP - 223
223
Atk - 101
101
Def - 53
103 (+50)
SpA - 97
101 (+4)
SpD - 53
53
Spe - 53
89 (+46)
BST - 570
670 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Outrage, Superpower
Competitive Analysis - Mega Guzzlord hits extremely hard thanks to base 101 Attack stat and Huge Power, it is also very bulky on the physical side, but the prevance of Fairy-types (most of them being Special Attackers), its average speed and the many weaknesses it has makes Guzzlord fairly exploitable and easy to take down with Special moves.

Will add recommended sets soon :)

Mega Nihilego
Ability:
Assimilate
Type: Rock/Poison
HP: 109
Attack: 53
Defense: 59 (+12)
Sp. Attack: 167 (+40)
Sp. Defense: 173 (+42)
Speed: 109 (+6)
New Moves: Giga Drain, Whirlpool, Magic Coat

Assimilate: Reduces the target's higher attacking stat by 1 stage and adds it to this Pokemon upon switching in. (Intimidate+Download hybrid)

Description: Mega Nihilego ramps up its parasitic abilities, draining the energy of its targets just by hitting the field. Its Special Attack and Defense are even higher than before, making it a terror if it comes in on a special attacker. Whirlpool is largely thematic and gives it a means to trap its prey, but Giga Drain offers coverage and Magic Coat lets it use its shiny body to reflect status.

Mega Guzzlord
Ability:
Stalwart
Type: Dark/Dragon
HP: 233
Attack: 139 (+38)
Defense: 73 (+20)
Sp. Attack: 131 (+34)
Sp. Defense: 61 (+8)
Speed: 43
New Moves: Superpower, Gunk Shot, Outrage

Stalwart: Doubles this Pokemon's Defense and Special Defense while HP is above half. (Fur Coat+Defeatist hybrid)

Description: Mega Guzzlord's ability turns what was once a fat slug into a very durable cushion, having the equivalent of 233/164/140 bulk factoring in the doubled defenses! But sure enough, this fat pile of I don't know what has a weakness: its bulk drops off below half health, it has to rely on RestTalk for recovery, and its support movepool is non-existent. Then again if you're running RestTalk chances are you only want to attack or Dragon Tail to rack up hazard damage, and Mega Guzzlord can do just that! You may want to get a Beast Boost before Mega Evolving however.

Mega Xurkitree
Ability:
Undergrow
Type: Electric/Grass
HP: 83
Attack: 107 (+18)
Defense: 127 (+56)
Sp. Attack: 193 (+20)
Sp. Defense: 107 (+36)
Speed: 53 (-30)
New Moves: Giga Drain, Spiky Shield, Earth Power

Undergrow: When this Pokemon enters battle, it automatically uses Ingrain. (calls Ingrain)

Description: Plant life is strange in Ultra Space, and it has this odd habit of attaching itself to things given the right stimulus. In Mega Xurkitree's case, the Mega Evolution is what does it. Undergrow puts it in a unique situation that makes this Mega high-risk high-reward: it ruins phazing attempts but if you Mega Evolve at the wrong time then you're trapped. When it works, have fun destroying your opponent with Tail Glow boosted Electric and Grass STABs!

I hope I'm not too late. :)

Mega Nihilego (UB-01-Mega: Jellinator)
Ability: Beast Boost
Typing: Rock / Poison
HP: 109
Attack: 53 -> 23 (-30)
Defense: 47 -> 117 (+70)
Special Attack: 127 -> 157 (+30)
Special Defense: 131 -> 141 (+10)
Speed: 103 -> 123 (+20)
New Moves: Calm Mind, Nasty Plot
Description:
Going straight up to AGg.
Mega Nihilego, is big, bad and made of jelly. It truly lives up to the nickname I gave it when it was first announced: the Jellinator.
If you want to know what it looks like, picture what Lusamine looked like when she combined with Nihilego. It looks like that.
Mega Nihilego has great 109 / 117 / 141 bulk, meaning that even with its questionable defensive typing, it can take a hit or two. Base 157 Special Attack breaks massive holes in everything. Two new setup moves in Calm Mind and Nasty Plot gives Mega Nihilego many options and makes it unpredictable.
Nobody can beat the Jellinator.

Mega Xurkitree (UB-03-Mega: Lightinator)
Ability: Beast Boost
Typing: Electric
HP: 83
Attack: 89 -> 59 (-30)
Defense: 71 -> 100 (+29)
Special Attack: 173 -> 217 (+44)
Special Defense: 71 -> 100 (+29)
Speed: 83 -> 101 (+18)
New Move: Agility
This one might not as be as OP as lord and savior Jellinator, but it definitely has something going for it.
Mega Xurkitree is covered in white fluffiness, which somehow is even better with electricity. The wires being covered up gives Xurkitree more defenses.
Base 217 special attack is ridiculous, and 101 is a great speed tier. Good mixed bulk means that Mega Xurkitree will really sent the opposing team before going down.

Mega Guzzlord (UB-05-Mega: Terminator)
Ability: Beast Boost
Typing: Dark / Dragon
HP: 223
Attack: 101 -> 121 (+20)
Defense: 53 -> 108 (+55)
Special Attack: 97
Special Defense: 53 -> 108 (+55)
Speed: 43 -> 13 (-30)
New Move: Swords Dance, Slack Off
Mega Guzzlord has an even bigger mouth than before, and the smaller arms at the top of its body become long enough to actually be useful. Its wings also become fully grown.
Guzzlord should be never to BULKlord, as it finally has the bulk it needs to support that massive base 223 HP stat. Attack is great too, and 223/108/108 bulk is fantastic. Now it has recovery (even if it makes no sense).

Mega *Ultrabeast* (UB-XX-Mega: *Word*ator) Kden.

Mega Pheromosa (UB-02-Mega: Atoratoratoratoratorator)

Just a question, but why the hell does Guzzlord get Softboiled of all recovery moves.

(also, was UB-01: Mega-Jellinator specifically made to counter my Mega Articuno or something? 8))

Mega *Ultrabeast* (UB-XX-Mega: *Word*ator) Kden.
Mega Pheromosa (UB-02-Mega: Atoratoratoratoratorator)
Because I'm uncreative. I came up with Jellinator, then got lazy and did it for the rest. Thanks for the Pheromosa suggestion ;)

Just a question, but why the hell does Guzzlord get Softboiled of all recovery moves.
Because I suck. Because I couldn't be bothered to research all of the recovery moves. Guzzlord needs a recovery move but none of them make sense.

Edit: Checked recovery moves. I guess Slack Off makes a little bit more sense(?).

(also, was UB-01: Mega-Jellinator specifically made to counter my Mega Articuno or something? 8))
No. I didn't intend to do that. Hehehehehe which one's the best AG-only mega now.

Mega-Nihilego

Ability: Parasitic Host
Item: Nihilegite
Type: Rock/Poison
HP: 109
Attack: 53
Defense: 121 (+74)
Sp. Attack: 150 (+23)
Sp. Defense: 175 (+44)
Speed: 62 (-41)
New Moves: Quiver Dance, Recover, and Earth Power

Parasitic Host: Uses Leech Seed automatically when it switches in. Pokemon with Magic Bounce, Magic Guard, the Grass-Typing, and/or behind a Substitute are still affected by the Leech Seed. If a damaging Bug-Type or Poison-Type move lands against the opponent, they can no longer switch out.

Description: Mega-Nihilego has a wider range of options to choose from for its moveset, for which you can look at the Set Compendium found below. Parasitic Host is the crux of why Mega-Nihilego is so threatening. Sludge Wave is not only a STAB Base 95 hit coming off of a base 150 Sp. Attack, but it now traps the Pokemon as well. Incoming Steel-Types will think twice after they eat a and Earth Power. 109/121/175 is bulkier than Cresselia, plus it has reliable Recovery. One must take advantage quickly of its low base 62 speed and 4x weakness to Earthquake or else Mega-Nihilego will steamroll over your entire team!

Methods of Defeating Mega-Nihelgo:
  • Phazing
  • Skarmory/Celesteela/Brozong
  • Earthquake (or any Ground-Type move really)
  • Calm Mind Chansey
Nihilego @ Nihilegite
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Sludge Wave
- Quiver Dance
- Recover/Psyshock/Earth Power

This set functions to set-up sweep after all Steel-Types have been eliminated from the other side. Then, Mega-Nihelgo traps a passive Pokemon like Toxapex or Chansey and then proceeds to clean house. Psyshock can be used over Recover if you believe Leech Seed recovery is sufficent and you want to be able to hit things like Toxapex and Chansey for more damage. Earth Power can also be chosen to hurt Steel-Types mid-game.

Nihilego @ Nihilegite
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Recover
- Power Gem/Thunderbolt/Psyshock/Dazzling Gleam/filler

This set is a standard All Out Attacker that improves upon regular Nihilego with its 109/121/175 bulk and higher base Special Attack of 150. Base-Nihilego may even possibly nab a Beast Boost before it Mega-Evolves, giving it further power to break through Pokemon otherwise not possible. Last move is up to choice.

Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Power Gem/Thunderbolt/Psyshock/Dazzling Gleam/Recover/filler

Base 62 speed is extremely underwhelming. That is until Trick Room sets up, where especially in the Ubers environment Mega-Nihilego can "outspeed the entire tier."

Nihilego @ Leftovers/Mental Herb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic Spikes
- Recover

This set uses the sheer threat of possibly Mega-Evolving to act as a sufficent lead. Nihilego is one of the few Pokemon to get Stealth Rocks and Toxic Spikes, and now with reliable recovery, it can make the fullest use of it throughout the entire match if need be.

Sorry, but we don't allow custom abilities. I understand how you could have been put under that impression because of other custom abilities, but those abilities are "clones." That is, they can be easily coded by modifying an already existing ability and in some cases using a move or ability's code to modify the code of your cloned ability. Triggering Leech Seed upon switching in would be a legal ability (Intimidate+Leech Seed), but the rest isn't. I'll have voting up some time tomorrow.

Mega Xurkitree
New Typing: Electric ---> Electric/Ghost
New Ability: Beast Boost ---> Electric Surge
New Moves: Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Ice Beam
New Stats:

HP: 83
Attack: 89 ---> 59 (-30)
Defense: 71
Special Attack: 173 ---> 225 (+52)
Special Defense: 71
Speed: 83 ---> 161 (+78)

Appearance: Imagine a somewhat incorporeal version of Xurk. The tail cable ends in a wisp and the wires are all loose due to the zip-tie things coming off.
Role Description (competitive): Special sweeper. Ghost typing makes it harder to beat, as it becomes immune to most priority, while the priority moves it isn't immune to it can take.

Mega Guzzlord
New Typing: Dark/Dragon
New Ability: Beast Boost ---> Tough Claws
New Moves: Drain Punch, Dragon Hammer, Knock Off
New Stats:

HP: 223
Attack: 101 ---> 165 (+64)
Defense: 53 ---> 77 (+22)
Special Attack: 97 ---> 67 (-30)
Special Defense: 53 ---> 77 (+22)
Speed: 43 ---> 65 (+22)

Description: Physical wallbreaker. I took care to not give it any boosting moves, but made up for it with Tough Claws giving a huge power boost.
MaceMaster I think custom abilities are allowed if you provide code for them.

Shouldn't voting have started by now? It's been 11 days since the start of the slate.

(also, my Articuno is winning the tiebreaker)

Nihilego: Macemaster, Kilgrave, The Raichu Overlord (Pika Xreme if you couldn't tell)
Xurkitree: Macemaster, Kilgrave, Ludicrousity
Guzzlord: Macemaster, Kilgrave, Estronic

Macemaster and Kilgrave stuck to the roots of UBs and Megas (Well, Kilgrave took 30 point off of an uneeded stat, so idk) which is why they get first and second. The others are based on preference :D

Did G-Luke even submit for this slate? If so, where's the submission?

Nihilego - Luaghing X-Naut, Exploudit, Estronic
Xurkitree - Mygavolt, Exploudit, Kilgrave
Guzzlord - JTD783, Exploudit, Coolman6001

All 3 - Laughing X-Naut, Exploudit, JTD

Please not another legendary slate :/

(Sorry exploudit for changing the vote, I had just picked my top 3 initially, in no order before the edit :/)

*Sigh*. I guess I'll do it then

Right, here we go:

Pika Xreme gets Nihilego
Nihilego-Mega
Ability: Beast
Boost ----> Levitate
Typing: Rock/Poison

Stats:
HP: 109
Attack: 53
Defense: 47 ----> 97 (+50)
Special Attack: 127 ----> 157 (+30)
Special Defense: 131 ----> 151 (+20)
Speed: 103
Base Stat Total: 570 ----> 670
Movepool Additions: Recover, Focus Blast
Description: BULK. Recover is because it's kind of amorphous and could probably patch up holes in its body with its shapeshifting.
Guzzlord goes to Exploudit

Mega Guzzlord

Ability -
Beast Boost
Huge Power

HP - 223
223
Atk - 101
101
Def - 53
103 (+50)
SpA - 97
101 (+4)
SpD - 53
53
Spe - 53
89 (+46)
BST - 570
670 (+100)

Movepool Additions - Outrage, Superpower
Competitive Analysis - Mega Guzzlord hits extremely hard thanks to base 101 Attack stat and Huge Power, it is also very bulky on the physical side, but the prevance of Fairy-types (most of them being Special Attackers), its average speed and the many weaknesses it has makes Guzzlord fairly exploitable and easy to take down with Special moves.

Will add recommended sets soon :)

And finally, Laughing X-Naut gets Xurkitree

Feel free to discuss this slate and how they will stack up in a meta with all of the other megas :3

Also, why not suggest a slate whilst we're at it. I'm sure Macemaster won't mind. If Macey isn't back by Friday, we can just vote for the next slate out of the ideas. If he comes back, MM can decide what happens.

This is what I feel:

Mega Dragons!

Mega Flygon
Mega Haxorus
Mega Dragonite

OR if that's done - favorites in Gen V get Megas!

Mega Bisharp
Mega Excadrill
Mega Conkeldurr
