Metang

[OVERVIEW]

· Metang has a great Steel / Psychic typing, which boasts nine resistances and an immunity, while its weaknesses are only four

· Its solid defenses, in conjunction with Eviolite, make it very bulky and a great check to the common Normal-, Flying-, Grass-, and Ice-types such as Stoutland, Dodrio, Roselia, and Piloswine, respectively

· It also has good offensive presence with it decent attack stat that is backed up by its access to Meteor Mash, which has a high chance to boost Metang's attack, and its ability, Clear Body, which makes Metang deal with Intimidate users without fearing an Attack drop.

· However, Metang's weakness to Dark makes it susceptible to Knock Off, which also removes its Eviolite, leaving it easily worn down

· Metang's lack of recovery outside Rest and weaknesses to common types such as Fire, Ground, and Dark hinder its ability to tank hits

· Metang's low Speed makes it vulnerable to Taunt, preventing it to set up Stealth Rock

· It also faces stiff competition from other Stealth Rock users such as Piloswine, Golem, and Stunfisk

Moves
========

· Stealth Rock is important to damage foes on switch-in, ease sweep for another teammate, and break through Focus Sash and Sturdy users

· Meteor Mash is Metang's main STAB move, hitting most of the tier hard; its chance to raise Metang's Attack is also very useful

· Earthquake provides great coverage, hitting Fire-, Electric-, and Steel-types such as Rapidash, Raichu, and enemy Metang super effectively, which resist Meteor Mash

· Zen Headbutt, however, is a secondary STAB move that hits Fighting- and Poison-types such as Machoke and Roselia

· The last slot depends upon the team.

· Toxic puts a timer on the foe
